  1. I have collaborated with Steve at BillsDaily a bit. In fact, he changed his numbers for Mike Williams because of the information I provided. The reported unadjusted salary cap has been placed anywhere between $85-87 million. I use $86 million. If the number is $85 million, wouldn't that lower the available cap space. Do you know what a "cap adjustment" is? Bills have averaged $1.4 million cap debit for the past 3 seasons. With in the increase in the number of incentive-laden deal (McGahee, M. Williams, Evans), it's likely the Bills will have a cap debit again in 2005. I have included an estimate of $1.5 million in my number All the media reports were from before the weekend. Mike Williams' salaries on NFLPA website were changed sometime between noon and midnight on Tuesday.
  2. The only other time was in 2001 when he did a simple restructure of Jay Riemersma At least Drew's re-working led to a cut in future salaries. Moulds' does not
  3. I get the salaries from NFLPA Bonus info from variety of media sources but I do have contact with someone on the net who is very knowledgable about all teams cap situations
  4. Pucillo is a RFA and not likely to be tendered Reese is a UFA and not likely to be re-signed Prioleau release saves $1.23 million
  5. You cannot re-amortize previously paid signing bonus. The old amort ($2 million in 2005& 2006) comes off the books after 2006 and his amort in 2007 is only from the new signing bonus he just received
  6. Cap savings: $1.02 million Dead cap: $100,000
  7. Working on my cap analysis article, with no more restructures or releases, Bills will enter FA between $8-9 million under.
  8. Most likely, but I do not have absolute info on the due date
  9. This is why I think 2005 is his last year
  10. David Dunn, yes......in the report on WNYO said that MW will be addressed once Drew's situation is resolved. Apparently, Drew's has been resolved
  11. A couple of weeks ago (Thr 2/3), Dennis Williams on the 10pm sports report on WNYO, reported that the Bills has approached MW for a re-working of his deal. I haven't heard or read anything else about it MW cap numbers are: 2005: $9.17 million ($4 million salary, $2.17 million amort. , $3 million roster) 2006: same as 2005 2007: $7.17 million ($5 million salary, $2.17 million amort.) he also has a number of NLTBE's as well that could impact the cap
  12. Moulds 2006 cap number is HUGE $6.089 salary $2 million old amortization $1,666,666 new amortization $1 million reporting/roster bonus $100,000 workout bonus ---------------------------- $10,855,666 plus $200,000 Pro Bowl bonus (NLTBE right now) if he makes Pro Bowl in 2005 season
  13. I would absolutely give him a look
  14. Mike Williams hit his escalators.....his salaries for 2005-2007 are as follows 2005: $4 million (up from $726,875) 2006: $4 million (up from $967,500) 2007: $5 million (up from $1,208,125) I now have the Bills about $9.4 million under an estimated unadjusted salary cap of $86 million. This number includes Moulds restructure and Bledsoe eventual release, Still awaiting official salary cap number and cap adjustment Moulds only did a simple restructure: 2005: $1.5 million salary (down from $5.5 million) 2006: $6.089 million (same) 2007: $7.25 million (added) He converted $4 million from the salary and the $1 million reporting/roster bonus to signing bonus. He lost no money in this restructuring
  15. My price range is $500-750 I have a 13 yr old 27" Sony Trinitron It's been a warhorse but it's slowly dying All it does is flash between picture and dark screen. Sound is fine. What are y'alls recommendations?
  16. If....er.....when Drew is released, I have the Bills about $12.7 million under.
  17. The "dead cap" will be 2/3 of his $6.5 million signing bonus he got just after the 2004 draft. That's $4,333,333, all of which falls on 2005 cap. Drew would not count on 2006 cap anymore and that's over $8 million off the 2006 cap. His 2005 cap savings, when adjusted for "top 51" rule, is $1,953,334 Take his cap number of $6,516,666 - $4,333,333 = $2,183,333 His release requires the 52nd highest cap charge to be included in the "top 51" and that is $230,000 $2,183,333 -$230,000 = $1,953,334 cap savings
  18. People keep saying we can find a veteran to backup JP.......WHO THEN? Give me a name of an available or soon to be available veteran QB, that Bills fans will have faith in, that will come here knowing they are only a backup without a true chance to compete for the starting role. I feel bad for Drew. He lost one game in 2004 IMHO....the Ravens game. The Jags and Jets road game, Bills were leading late into the 4th qtr but the defense gave up the game winning score. Pittsburgh and NE road game were team losses. NE home game, Henry stumbles on 3rd and 2 deep in NE territory with a hole big enough for a mack truck in front of him. Next play was a comedy of errors but not solely Drew's fault. I'm not too enthused handing over the starting QB to basically a rookie with as close as the Bills DID get to the playoffs with Drew. Bills' fans always find a player and then jump on the "get of town" bandwagon. Many times, those players end up performing very well for their new teams (Glenn Parker, Antowain Smith)
  19. This is my concern as well. I would keep Drew and address the needs on the OL and skill positions. If Drew does not perform, turn it over to JP for him to work with an offense that has been given more tools to work with.
