Used to be that way until this year. He's had plenty of time. Good/great players find ways to be good/great in spite of their team. Kind of like that lone bright spot you can see as someone to build your team around. No matter what people say, I don't see it. I don't see Tremaine being good in spite of others around him supposedly being a detriment. Milano is good in spite of the team or others around him.

That's why I said I give good players passes when they have bad games, and mentioned Josh as one of those players.

Same. Josh didn't have a good game, by a longshot. But certain players who are good I give passes. Josh should be allowed to not have an MVP performance without being hung out to dry. (Needs to play better than this though, obviously). Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley are allowed to drop a ball here and there. Tre White is allowed to give up a chunk play every once in awhile. Matt Milano is allowed to miss a tackle here and there. The problem is the drop off between our good players and that next level. They're forcing our good players to be excellent every game, which isn't practical nor sustainable. IMO

preface: I like McD but..... For someone who preaches DNA, accountability, process, etc etc. It's the Bills who have had trouble tackling the past three years. It's the Bills who seem to get a bunch of penalties that other teams simply don't get called for as much. It's our players not maintaining their gaps. It's our receivers who seem to have more drops than anyone else. It's our team who seemingly can _never_ control the line of scrimmage. For all the process talk and "fundamentals", it seems like it's always those things that kill us. IMO

Oh on a side note - where was Tyrell Dodson? I don't think I saw him at all, yet I don't remember seeing him on the inactive list. I didn't think he was playing that bad when in previous games....

I'm hoping so too. And agree with this was mostly on Josh. I was mostly focusing on the run game. Seems like our big uglies aren't that big compared to other teams'. KC had some really big boys in there on both sides of the ball

I want to see the smashmouth run game as well. Wish we still had fierce pissed off players like incognito. Our guards are terrible and aren't getting any push off the line. Same thing with our DTs in my opinion. I want some hog mollies on the lines. Seems like our guards and DTs are too small.

How come everyone else's Defense plays mean and physical. While our D plays timid, no fire, no energy. Everyone else gets big lineman, Bills go with the small approach. KC line had some meatballs. You're not gonna win in the trenches with small tackles.
