  1. Knowing the Bills play at Philly and at KC next season could the Bills be a prime candidate again to kickoff the NFL season? Feel like the odds are more favorable if Philly wins since it would be AFC vs NFC. If KC wins do they kickoff the season with a rematch against Philly at KC? Thoughts?
  2. I may be in the minority but I’m valuing OL early and often in this draft. If the OL is solidified it helps everything else. Better running game, better use of the TE as they aren’t needed as much for blocking, gives Josh more time in the pocket, and reduces the need for Josh HAVING to run, etc. Yes I want to add weapons for Josh, but IMO it’s long pass due to shore up the OL and give him extra protection. With the extra protection, he can become even more dangerous! It’s critical the Bills hit on their early picks.
  3. Depending on who’s available at 27, the pick has to lean OL or WR. Give me the best OG/C in the first. I’d like to see Beane be aggressive in the first four rounds to get impact players. The likelihood that a 5th, 6th or 7th round pick makes the roster is minimal so package picks to move up. Bills hitting on their first three picks would be huge! An anchor on the OL, a playmaking WR and a safety would help balance the roster.
  4. Whatever the max is. The schedule is loaded next year with marquee matchups. Wasn’t that long ago many were complaining about only having 1:00 games.
  5. The overreactions are off the charts right now based upon one game. Yes the Bengals beat the Bills in every category. They were better prepared and successfully executed their game plan. Our overall game plan was brutal on both sides of the ball and it happened at the worst possible time. However Cinncy isn’t some invincible juggernaut. They needed a17 point comeback against TB, a fluke fumble to beat NE and a goalline fumble by a third string QB. Tip of the hat to them for playing a great game against us and out scheming us. The Bills failing to score before halftime and the drop by Davis were two very big plays in the game. Not saying they would have won but it’s certainly game on at that point after taking two big shots from Cinncy to start the game.
  6. They sorely lacked a dynamic player in the slot. Having someone that is a playmaker in that position opens up so much for this offense. Crowder got hurt and McKenzie isn’t a full time starter. Both turned out to be unreliable with health and play.
  7. IMO I think it’s crazy to bring in another OC after one season. You want to start all over with another OC with learning another system. For having a weak OL and underperforming WR’s, they stilled delivered. Hell you could argue they should of went undefeated in the regular season. I don’t think Dorsey is even up for debate. Frazier is a different story but if they do who are you replacing him with?
  8. We can agree to disagree but the Bills will still be favorites to win the AFCE and compete for the top seed. The vast majority of their games they will be favored to win. Maybe they lose more than 3 games by 8 points next year but there isn’t a game on their schedule they can’t win. Yes the gap may narrow, but no one said winning a SB is easy. Sure it maybe more difficult next year but if healthy they can go toe to toe with anyone. Yes the Bills played poorly against Cinncy. I think it had a lot to do with how horrible the game plan that the coaching staff employed. Dorsey got schooled by an experienced DC and Fraziers bend but don’t break scheme against Cinncy in bad weather conditions is beyond defensible.
  9. TJ Hockensen was selected right before Oliver or he may have been the pick. Beane missed badly on trading up to get Ford. I think he believed he was a can’t miss pick. Not hitting on Ford, Moss, AJE, Boogie and Bernard in the 2nd and 3rd rounds have hurt. Even if he hit on two of those, they’d be in a better position.
  10. I know many fans are still upset about the loss to the Bengals, but we’re you really surprised by Beane’s press conference? The reality is the Bills are a top tier team in the AFC and NFL. You don’t go blowing that up. Yes, the expectation is Dorsey will continue to grow and be a better OC in year 2 than year one. It’s obvious they know the interior of the OL needs address and I fully expect them to do that. They also know they need some speed and more talent at WR. Defensively, having a fully healthy Tre back coupled with Elam in his second year they are solid at CB. Hyde will return at Safety and I do expect them to lock up Edmunds. A healthy Von Miller, Ed O, Jordan P, Groot and Daquan Jones is solid. We have enough pieces of D to be a solid top 10 D. Add some new pieces from the draft, get some solid FA’s, restructure a few contracts and do you really believe the Bills won’t be in the thick of it next year? Some of you are acting like the gap is huge. The Bills need to stay healthy, add weapons for Josh, improve the OL, reduce the maddening self inflicted mistakes, see growth and evolution from Dorsey and I love our chances. LETS GO BUFFALO!
  11. My belief going into 2023: Move on from Frazier. Great guy but struggles mightily in the playoffs. Oliver is going into his fifth year. He’ll be back Poyer probably played his last game. Love his warrior attitude but the last half of the season he played hurt. Not worried about the secondary as you have Tre, Elam, Benford, Jackson plus Hyde. Having a healthy Hyde and Tre can5 be understated. Edmunds is the question mark…I’d still like to keep him but it has to be the right deal. DL Isn’t getting it done plain and simple. Assuming DL coach is gone as well. Everything is basic bulrush with not much creativity. With that said a healthy DJone, Von, Groot and Ed is pretty solid. Having a healthy Jordan P is vital as well. If you don’t sign Edmunds and Poyer you have two voids on D that will need addressed. Offensively, address the two OG position. You need to hit on one in the draft that is a mainstay for the next 5 years. Need another playmaking at WR with speed and size. Lastly, Dorsey has to take a huge leap as an OC this offseason. You can’t expect Josh to be Superman every game. It’s not sustainable long term and it’s way too much pressure to be put on any one player. He has to establish an offensive identity. Better scheme for Diggs and Knox. If there is a playmaker on the board in the late teens, early twenties I’ve moving up to get him. Id most likely move on from McKenzie, Saffold and DS.
  12. I did as well but would like to give Josh an additional weapon at TE behind Knox. OG’s and WR is a must!
  13. Beane has missed on getting IMPACT players in the first three rounds now on multiple drafts (Ford, Moss, Boogie, AJE and the LB from Baylor) He’s tried drafting 3 RB’s in the first three rounds with none having fully secured the spot as a mainstay. Agree he’s open to criticism.
  14. Lots to process going forward. Congrats to Cinncy has they did what they wanted from the opening possession. Twice now in the playoffs your D has failed you. For all the investment in the DL, they were embarrassed today by three backups. They literally ran it down your throat. I have no clue what Frazier was scheming today. You literally played 10 yards off the ball knowing ball was coming out quick considering the OL and weather conditions. Lots of solid players on the DL but no impact players. Offensively, Dorsey looked in over his head. Ignored the weather conditions and struggled to scheme up easy quick passes. Not leveraging Josh in the running game is inexcusable. Not one QB sweep. The interior guard play needs addressed. Look how easy the scheme is for Burrow, Mahomes and even Purdy. It matters! Not even sure what our O identity is at this point. McDermott has done a lot of good but I worry he’s becoming a Marty Schottenheimer wasting opportunities. Offseason, I believe Frazier has to go. I think they move on from Poyer. On offense OL, WR and a #2 TE is needed. They have to shore up the line and give Josh more weapons.
  15. No one. Football officially over for me this season:
  16. Except they’ve made the DL a priority for multiple years. They have solid players but NOT impact players. You can’t continue to miss like that with high draft picks. The OL has to be addressed! This game’s highlights how weak our OL OG’s are along with all the misses on the DL.
  17. All you needed was just a quick pass to Beasley to get you 2 yards but instead you go deep at a critical point in the game. Just too much risk reward playcall.
  18. Not looking good. Beane is gonna need to earn his paycheck this summer. Josh can only mask so many things. OL is trash at the guard level. Rookie OC is certainly showing his playoff inexperience. Defensively, you invested so much on the D and it’s not producing when it matters. The DL getting owned by three backups is alarming. You have an EXPERIENCED DC that continues to get beat in crucial moments.
