  1. I think most of us would be pleased to be up 13-3 at half. Run D has to tighten up Offensively play smart, take the easy throws and keep moving the chains. LETS GO BUFFALO!
  2. Some posters still haven’t recovered from the drought trauma. It’s a GREAT time to be a Bills fan. On paper the schedule looks harder but I like the weapons we’ve added at WR, RB and TE. Our interior OL has been upgraded. We’ve certainly added speed and a power running game to an already potent offense. On D, having Hyde and a healthy Tre back is a significant upgrade to the secondary. We have strong depth in the secondary and DL. If the Bills can play to their potential, eliminate self inflicted mistakes and stay healthy, I like our chances against anyone in the league.
  3. In all seriousness, does Bernard start out on PUP or even a possible cut? May sound harsh but what has he shown thus far to take up a roster spot?
  4. My core frustration with this topic, is Beane and McDermott already knew they had a gap at MLB when Edmunds departed in FA. Why in the world would they use a 3rd pick on an OLB when they already had a proven player with a new contract in Milano at OLB. If they truly believed Bernard or Dodson was Edmunds successor, I have even more questions. They totally ignored the position. There was nothing last season or in training camp to double down on Bernard or Dodson. Thats twice Beane used and missed in the 3rd round at LB on questionable players and we still have no viable solution going into the season or the future at MLB. I do believe Williams has far more potential long term though. However, I question if that was the best use of a 3rd round pick knowing our needs. I’m supportive of them both as their body of work is solid but they’ve shown a history of making some headscratching decisions. IMO, it’s these little things that can ultimately keep them from achieving a SuperBowl.
  5. I like Williams as his upside looks greater than anyone we have at MLB after two preseason games. Not even sure why Torrence hasn’t been declared the starter at this point. He looks solid. However, it will be very disappointing if Beane doesn’t try to swing a trade before roster cuts to address the lack of talent at MLB and OT. The amount of DL depth is too much for go with a void at OT and MLB. Bernard and Dodson haven’t panned out. To just ignore it seems short sided. Even if he adds someone after final roster cuts, the player will only have a small window to learn before the first regular season game in the system. Lastly, I’m not a fan of the new roster cut format. I would think the NFLPA wouldn’t be either.
  6. It’s nice that on 8/16 one of the main topics for dialogue is competition for who gets the 6th WR spot. I’m just hoping we get more productivity from the slot this year. Teams have to respect Diggs and Davis with the deep ball. That makes the underneath vulnerable if Harty, Kincaid, Knox, etc can take advantage! BTW when does Josh get a vet rest day? I don’t recall him not practicing yet?
  7. I can’t remember a time where the AFCE has been this competitive from top to bottom. Highlights how NE owned the division for so long. NE and NYJ play a 4th and 3rd place schedule which should bring a few more wins to each.
  8. My initial reactions: * Like what I saw for both starting OG. Feel like we can lock them in as game one starters. * Running game looks promising * Dorian Williams stood out at LB more than anyone else. Headscratching why they’re not looking at the Milano/Williams combo more. * DL looks solid. Hopefully they stay healthy and can consistently get to the QB. * I thought Elam played solid * Harty, Shakir and Isabella all have different strengths in the slot. Hoping someone stands out as we need significant improvement. The final roster will be interesting to see what they do.
  9. Nothing against Dane, but I believe he played 5 snaps so that’s a small sample size to say up or down. If you want to say it’s up and basing it on for starting and making the gift interception
  10. Anyone have any insights on potential LBs that might get cut from other teams due to depth or salary impacts? Would seem foolish if we don’t try to upgrade if possible. As it stands right now the drop off in LB quality after Milano is huge.
  11. Agree. However, next year will be three straight years drafting a LB. Beane has attempted to address the position with two questionable 3rd round picks.
  12. Bernard was a head scratcher when Beane made the pick. It's looking like it was a bad selection which compounded even more by the Williams pick this year. Two years to plan and draft a future successor for Edmunds has not played out and highly likely we will need to address yet AGAIN in next year’s draft. These are critical misses when you try to address the same position but miss as it creates a domino to upgrade talent in other key areas. Similar to drafting Singletary, followed by Moss, followed by Cook at RB And then again with AJE, Groot and Basham but then having to add FA’s due to the misses. I love Beane but this has been a trend and with certain positions I think it’s far criticism that the scouting team evaluations need to be questioned. I realize you can’t hit on every pick but you can’t continue to have these types of misses in the early rounds. I’m hoping we add a LB from roster cut downs or thru a player trade. We better hope Milano stays healthy!
  13. With the Bills having a deep roster, who do you think are potential trade candidates before final roster cuts? Curious to know who might be a trade option and who we might target in return. IMO, all eyes will be on the LB position in the first two preseason games. Does the current LB competition look solid or will it be obvious we have a big drop off/liability at the position outside of Milano. Do the Bills keep all their DE depth? Would you trade a CB? Any surprise trade candidates? My opinion is the roster is too deep at certain positions to not expect a trade. What says you BillsMafia?
  14. Intriguing to see how the LB position plays out in the preseason games. I wonder if Beane will try to pick up a vet during roster cuts? Pure speculation but could the Bills look to trade a future draft pick or a DE or CB to address the LB position if needed. Outside of Milano our LB experience and skills are lacking. We better hope Milano stays healthy all year.
  15. Disappointing if they move on from Boogie and AJE as that would be two major drafts misses in the 2nd round. Never understood the decision to draft Boogie in the 2nd after drafting Groot in the 1st. OL would have been a better area to target. Hopeful Torrence locks down an OG spot for many years and Spencer Brown improves in year 3. I’m not sure Hamlin is a lock to make the roster. So grateful things turned out positive for him but his play on the field will need to significantly improve.
  16. So ready for the 2024 season to kick off. In rewatching the game, forgot how Damar gave up two TDs and Cam had a horrible special teams 4th down penalty that led to MIA taking the lead late in the 3rd qtr. Josh missed Diggs deep which would have been a TD. Run defense was severely lacking. Bills came out flat in the 3rd qtr giving up 13 points and scoring zero which was a bad trend all year. Josh is 9-2 overall vs MIA with the two losses being a TD drop by Charles Clay and Josh missing an easy TD on 4th down to Isiah McKenzie. The AFCE will be a dogfight this year.
  17. Classic example of Fake News Its ridiculous how much this story has been overblown. Can’t wait for training camp to begin so we can move on from this.
  18. Good catch. Not sure why I thought it was week 14.
  19. So thus far: 10/8 Jax vs Bills 11/5 or 11/12 Bills at Cinncy 11/26 Bills at KC
  20. Personally, my expectations aren’t any different this season, so I expect it to be just as stressful. I think we can all agree it’s not unreasonable to expect this team can win the Superbowl THIS YEAR. The expectations of the franchise, the players and fan base has dramatically changed. After the last three seasons, it doesn’t matter what the media or talking heads say. Stay healthy, eliminate self inflicted mistakes, don’t stumble against lesser opponents and play to their potential. Do that and there’s no one they can’t beat.
  21. Not a flashy opening week matchup but I’d be okay with Bills at Washington to open up the season. Thanks. Most likely will have to buy them on the secondary market.
  22. Anyone have any insight on when individual game tickets will go on sale? Live in Atlanta and try to attend at least one home game a year. Thanks-
  23. 1. AFCE is more competitive within the division that it has been within the last 15 years. I still believe if Buffalo plays to their potential they win the division. Schedule looks even harder this year. With the exception of the last game against Cinncy, the Bills shot themselves in the foot against MIA, MN and the NYJ in the 3 regular season losses. 2. Tua and Mac still need to elevate their game so I would say no. 3. Overall offensive talent is MIA and Tua. OL play could determine who wins the division. 4. If fully healthy, I give the edge to the Bills but barely. NYJ are right there. 5. TBD, One could make the case for NE for overall contributions if they hit on the kicker and punter they drafted.
  24. Stunned they got him but what a huge signing. Now let’s reel in DHop. I wonder what we have offered AZ, if anything yet. Would a 3rd and 6th do it? If they land DHop with all the other pieces they’ve added, the burden fully shifts to McDermott and Dorsey to game plan and utilize all the weapons they have.
  25. Hard not to like this. Love the depth and competition at the RB position. Dorsey has lots of weapons to utilize and game plan for!
