I think he just covers who's in front of him. If Worthy is on the outside maybe Benford will get help.
As of now he's a gadget guy. I don't think he's established himself as someone you have to provide consistent safety help for. I would account for his presence more if he's in the backfield or in motion.
Hurts even more when you can see how good McD's record is when coming off a bye week. Imagine him having an extra week to rest and prep with the opportunity to get players a little healthier.
Is it kinda sad that I'm actually looking forward to it?
I keep envisioning the 13 sec and Pittsburgh game and keep dreaming that "Big Game Gabe" walks through the door.
I've always been of the opinion that outside KC the biggest deterrent that's really hurt the Bills road to the SB is the elimination of the bye for the #2 seed.
Right now Virgil I'm just trying to see us in the playoffs, regardless of seeding.
Also, NE hasn't reclaimed the East or anything other than the appearance of a competent football team. Its not like their 4 games up with 3 to go.
Taron and Tre continue to be cause for concern. Fortunately the influx of the players mentioned masked many of the issues. I'm sure many noticed that without Bernard and Milano the run D was much more stout and the pass rush much more effective. This in turn allowed the secondary to be more decisive in coverage instead of having to stick with receivers for long periods.
But as optimistic as this game was, also keep in mind they were dealing with a relic backup QB with the mobility of a turtle. Dalton was absolutely abysmal.
