  1. He's not safe imo. He's been underwhelming so far and could conceivably be cut or packaged in a trade, hopefully. I look at him like Hamlin. Quality depth, but not starting caliber. Sure, they can start for the Panthers and Patriots of the league, but they're not the starters you want on a championship caliber roster. JMHO....
  2. No he's not. Are you saying Mitch is better? I wouldn't want him as my starter, but imo he's a more than a capable back up.
  3. I guess his spot in the lot still has his name on it.
  4. At least now that he's signed long term he doesn't have to sit in the parking lot on cut day.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  5. Beat me to it, well said. 👍
  6. Absolutely! They should chip it along with the football.
  7. Minshew got released. Always thought he'd be a good spot starter/ back up.
  8. No. Often injured and has a huge nose.
  9. Respectfully disagree. Lawrence can wreck an interior making it beneficial for DE's, with that I agree. But when was the last time this team had a DE that sniffed 15 sacks? Don't want to hear about potential, pressures and win rate. I WANT SACKS!! I want the QB on his arse. I want opposing offenses in 2nd/3rd and long situations. Garrett can do that.
  10. Gotta agree. The only player sacrificing a 1st for is Garrett. And even for him I'm only giving up one.
  11. Was probably informed he was being released and figured to call it a day. Time to enjoy retirement with family and salvage brain cells. Thanks for all you did Mitch! You were a good one no doubt.
  12. Von was 30ish when he signed his 6 year deal which we all knew in all likelihood would be 3 and out. 3 to 4 years younger than Slay. Never said I was against signing Slay, just cautious. He'd definitely be an upgrade over Douglas.
  13. A little leary about bringing in a guy at the end of his career that just won a ring. Looking for one more payday and you have no idea where his motivation is. Jmo...
  14. Can't argue the point on pressuring the QB. We will need someone opposite Benford cause imo Douglas ain't it. I wouldn't mind retaining him but feel we could do better.
  15. C'mon dude, elite? I can't think of many teams Elam is starting on. Wasted 1st on someone who will be nothing more than depth.
  16. Could you imagine Alexander and Benford on the boundary with Taron in the slot. Also maybe, Bishop/ Rapp and possibly Holland or Chinn on the back end. Pretty nice....
  17. He was not a consensus top prospect. I thought for what he is and what he had around him I thought he was adequate for a rookie. Like Elam, it's not his fault he got overdrafted. He flashed decent hands and high point contested catches. Yes, he's not a burner and doesn't separate well but he does have potential. Poyer taking him out for a month didn't help his campaign. If we attain a true #1 I'm sure he’ll produce, especially developing more chemistry with 17. Shakir was quite pedestrian his rookie season and now he's a keeper. Too early to judge Keon imo...
  18. Hell of a sales pitch you got there.
  19. So basically one 25 yard play will put you in FG range? 🤣🤣🤣
  20. I guess he wasn't Master of his Domain..
