  1. It's like you guys never learn your lesson on these players... not all rookies are good day 1
  2. This isn't even sort of true. There are several things missing in your analysis: The trade deadline is in the middle of the season. Football isn't a plug and play sport or fantasy, and even if a guy is proven vet it doesn't mean he is gonna just show up and be that guy for your team. Vets are way more expensive and we are already all in with our roster...there isn't a lot of room. Unless the guy is on an expiring contract, this year isn't the only one that matters Everyone uses the Rams and Eagles as examples, but that is confirmation bias. What about all the teams that make trades and don't win? I mean, the BILLS have made deadline deals and the guy was garbage either right away or the next season. It's just not as black and white as you want it to be.
  3. And? Neither did 31 other teams. This idea that Beane and Mcdermott are incompetent just needs to die
  4. Halfway through the season, the Bills are second in SB odds. some of you need to get a grip.
  5. Im really sick of this sentiment. Google the 2012 Patriots. Probably the best offense of all time and their X was Brandon freaking Lloyd. Welker, two dynamic TEs and a stable of RBs...sound familiar?
  6. Sigh. Watch the tape? Please. I would love for you to share with me your coaching credentials, because lets both be honest...you and just about everyone else on here has a layman knowledge when it comes to the NFL passing game. Separation does not equal open, and not even the best WR in the NFL are consistently separating (ie more than 1 yard between them and the defender) against a man corner on routes over 7 yards. It just doesn't happen. But, by all means show me a all these receivers just destroying man coverage on the outside and running away from NFL corners...I'll wait.
  7. Show me an X getting wide open against man coverage without some kind of pick or coverage bust... You act like there are just guys toasting coverage left and right all over then NFL. The fact is tight coverage is THE WHOLE POINT of playing man.
  8. Sometimes I wonder why I even come to this message board. The Bills had 66 offensive snaps last night. 5 skill guys X 66 snaps = 330 snaps 170 of those 330 snaps were taken by RB/FB/TE/6th tackle. 160 left, and more than half were Coleman and Shakir out of base/heavy sets. You might not like the kind of offense we run, and you might even think we run it because we have to...I just think you'd be wrong. Our offense isn't great for fantasy numbers or WR numbers, but it IS great for scoring
  9. This is why it is better to not engage… They have no problem using variance in those same numbers to show how much Cooper impacted the Bills, despite his super low snap count and production. numbers, eye test…it’s whatever supports their emotions at the time.
  10. This is what I don't understand... Bargain picks? They have used their first pick 3 out of the past 6 years on a pass catcher. Kincaid 1st, Knox 3rd, Hawes 5th, Coleman 2nd, Palmer 3rd, Moore 2nd, Samuel 3rd, Shakir 5th, Shavers UD I don't know why we are acting like this is a bunch of scrubs. All of the "dumpster" dives (Palmer, Moore, Samuel) have put up at least 50 catches and 600 yards in a season (Samuel has 4) and are under 30 yo. People love killing Keon by putting up that route tree from Matt Harmon. Maybe they should go look at the ones Curtis Samuel had in his years before Buffalo or what Matt Harmon had to say about him.
  11. Counterpoint to all the WR haters: Last season we brought in MVS as a deep threat. He did basically nothing (2/26 in 6 games) and was cut during the season. After he was cut, he was signed by the saints and put up 17 catches for 385 yards and 4 TDs in 8 games. Cooper (his replacement) over that same time frame had 20 catches for 297 and 2 TDs. Even Diggs and Davis looked like trash when Brady took over mid season. It is time to start seeing the writing on the wall...it's not just the WR. The real question is, is it even really a problem? Numbers wise it might be, but scoring wise and record wise I am not convinced it is.
  12. It happens everywhere, all the time. Dallas fans are miserable, so are Yankees fans, Lakers fans, etc. The fact that you are putting that much weight on it means the crash after the high will be even worse.
  13. You say that now, but you're wrong. The following year you'll be right back to complaining.
  14. Mark Andrews probably couldn't... Kelce is a HOF tight end. The idea that the Bills should just "go get some HOF players" is insane. Instead of being grateful that we have one in JA (and he is a QB on top of that), all anybody does is complain that we "only" have one.
  15. The championship won't be enough. It will never be enough.
