With the 95th pick in the TSW mock draft, the 3 time and current Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs select..........
Cory Trice, CB, Purdue.
KC doesn't have a need at DB, but keeping the roster stocked with quality DB is ALWAYS worthwhile. Trice fits the mold of KC's preference for tall, long, press type DB to play spags press man system. Trice is 6'3 over 200 and has skills.

I don't have a dog in this fight but participating in the mock draft here, when the Bills have come up, there is alot of debate about who they should or should NOT take.
Post your guys that you hope the Bills avoid at all costs....who would piss you off if the Bills call their name and why.

Chiefs remain interested in trading up

Chiefs still wanting to move up from 95

I would love to trade up...if anyone wants to make a move to 95.

I've been doing a 7 round mock W/trades (but no players or future draft picks are allowed to be traded) on a Broncos site for the last 4 years. We've just finished up....just for fun/entertainment/information whatever.....I am posting what the Bills drafter did....
1-27 (27): Buffalo Bills - Anton Harrison, OT, Oklahoma
2-28 (59): Buffalo Bills - Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa
****TRADE**** Bills move up to 86. Ravens get 91 and 137
3-23 (86): Buffalo Bills - Tyjae Spears, RB, Tulane
4-28 (130): Buffalo Bills - Puka Nacua, WR, BYU
6-28 (205): Buffalo Bills - Jalen Redmond, DL, Oklahoma

Thanks gents! Yeah it’s crazy having my first at 46, but super excited. My wife wants 2, so gonna go for a second right after cuz even though she is young enough to wait (she’s 28) I don’t want to be popping kids out at like 50 😂
Wow! I'm 46 and have 5, plus one granddaughter. Congratulations! Wife and I had discussed a couple times having ONE MORE! but she's not 28...she's 42. and our youngest is 10. Fatherhood is awesome!

....not trying to upset the cart or rock the boat.....but just wondering why this doesn't just go all 7 rounds and allow for the trades etc that goes with it?

If signing Richie James and their cap situation not being great removes KC, in your mind, than our cap situation and signing Deonte Harty and Trent Sherfield would remove us as well.
Between our Jordan Phillips deal not being on the books and their James deal not being on the books, our cap situation isn't much different. And we have a better WR core than they do, at the moment.
KC doesn't have a true #1 right now. They only have MVS, Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore, and Richie James - after losing Mecole Hardman and JuJu Smith-Schuster in FA.
After what OBJ just got, I don't see the Bills or the Chiefs being able to afford Hopkins. I think we'll both be Drafting WR's within the first 2 Rounds.
To clarify, I thought KC was OUT way before signing James for the same reasons.
KC and the Bills were going to be interested in Hopkins and/or OBJ if the price was right. OBJ getting 15 million is going to make Hopkins more resolute about not redoing his deal or taking a pay cut. Even if he's released, if he wants 15 million too it could happen with void years and money kicked down the road and no draft picks traded. I would suspect KC would still be a longshot even at that. If he's released, I beleive the Bills would absolutely be in play......becasue you guys are already pushing the chips forward anyhow.

You can cross KC off the list (if you hadn't already) ...KC just signed another rotational WR and simply don't have the cap space to make this move and they aren't going to have it either. Prety much the last thing KC has remaining to do is signing Chris Jones to an extension, and whatever cap space that frees up, will probably be held back to sign the draft class along with a reserve to sign a player or two in season. The signing of Rick James (the WR) should signal to everyone who wasn't sure still, that KC isn't making any more major investments at WR in FA/Trade.

In a full 7 round draft, I would have thrown in a 6th to sweeten that just a little bit. 31 and 63 are right on point for pick 19..it's about 20 so points in favor of KC to move up to 18. We would have still made the deal if it was 31, 63 and 217 for example.

my worthless 2 cents -
From the list you have (man this draft is weaksauce) ....as a Chiefs fan, the guy I'd least want you to draft is Downs, WR, North Carolina. Separates, is fast, and can electrify your kick return teams. YAC for days. You DONT need him. Please draft an offball LB.

That’s exactly who we were going to pick, if not for the trade.
I knew my target and I knew where I had to get to to get him. This is going well for KC. We now wait for the value at 95.

With the 18th selection in TBD Mock Draft….the 3 time, and current Super Bowl champion, Kansas City Chiefs, select…….
Calijah Kancey, DL, Pitt
RATIONALE for pick
I don’t like any of the remaining OT, and feel like we can get a quality WR and edges later. Cancey is an absolute interior pocket destroyer. We don’t care that he’s small for a DT. KC rotates and moves DLine around a lot, which is why they deploy large EDGE players, that move inside from time to time. KC will deploy Kancey all over. One of the very few players I have as a bonafide rd 1 talent for what my roster and scheme does. We are elated to get him here.
Overview
Undersized, one-gapping defensive tackle who is explosive and productive. He’s a strong and determined player, but Kancey is still going to be a hit-or-miss run defender due to his lack of mass and length. While he will get pushed around at times, his first-step quickness and short memory allow him to make tackles in the backfield. He’s a nightmare for offenses as a pass rusher. His twitchy feet can slide and reset points of attack. His leverage and motor are often too much for guards to handle alone. Kancey might be most effective as a rotational run defender and full-time, sub-package rusher, but his size will not define him in the NFL.
Strengths
Posted 14.5 sacks and 27.5 tackles for loss in two years as a full-time starter.
Combination of first-step burst and contact balance stands out.
Captures easy wins against leaning interior blockers.
Excellent change-of-direction quickness and reactive athleticism.
Terror in the pocket as a pass rusher.
Laser-sharp focus on fastest possible way into the pocket.
Slide speed to start at B-gap and finish rush in the opposite A-gap.
Forward-charging attack eventually finds an edge or angle to exploit.
Gets to quarterbacks with a top-flight closing kick.

I’m very simply stating that it’s been done. I agree with you about McD and Allen. I’m just telling you, why you’re saying is incorrect. There have been coaches with QBs that went 5 years before they finally won a ring. It’s happened.
I found the one article. It’s too late and I’m too tired to argue about this. Your point is correct in that the 5 year rule is coming for Allen and McD. It was incorrect that it’s never happened.
enjoy your night
It's literally never happend....per the article.

Yes. And like I said. It’s happened. Just not often. The last time was Cowher.
also a direct quote from the article:
“This is strikingly common in NFL history. Of the 31 head coaches to win at least one Super Bowl, 27 of them won their first championship within the first five seasons with that team. Only Chuck Noll (six years in Pittsburgh), John Madden (eight years in Oakland), Tom Landry (12 years in Dallas) and Bill Cowher (14 years in Pittsburgh) needed more than five years to capture that elusive first ring.”
yes, but of the coaches that took a long time to get the first ring...the QB they paired up with....they were never a duo more than 5 years. That's my point here with McD and Allen...this is year 6 together.
Andy Ried didn't win his first SB until he'd been a head coach for like 20 years...but it was his 3rd season paired up with Mahomes.

I posted this last week. Was an article a few years old but still holds true.
You’re a little off though. It has happened. Like 5 times. But hasn’t happened since Cowher I believe. I’ll see if I can find the article again.
found it:
Direct quote from the article:
Call it The Five-Year Rule: No team has ever started the same quarterback under the same head coach for more than five years and seen that duo win its first championship. As you can see in the table, some really great duos just got their title together in the fifth year, but all 35 duos required no more than five years together.
This is what I meant to say...if that wasn't understood.

And? These types of stats are meaningless. If the Bills ever win the super bowl it will be a lot of “firsts”
There is a first time for everything, and just becasue something hasn't happened before doesn't mean it won't happen. I get it. But, I wouldn't dismiss this stat as meaningless. It stongly indicates that 5 years is enough time to know if you have QB problem, a coach problem or both.
The Bills have the 3rd best SB odds this year...it's ENTIRELY possible McDermott and Allen become the first QB/Coach duo to make it happen after 6 years together.

Of course I don't mean like that...McDuffie isn't as tall or long as what KC normally drafts...but KC doesn't box themselves into a type when someone really talented comes along that doesn't completely fit the mold.
