It isn’t really anything than just another ringing endorsement of another super thug chief player.

I liked him coming out of college.  After listening to that….LOL.  Wouldn’t touch him.  Schoen and Daboll did good but trading him

edit: this is how he reacted to a guy on Twitter trolling him about Daniel Jones….. this is how he reacted. 🤣

Von Miller for example....has way worse in his recent past and I haven't noticed anyone here upset that the Bills signed him and that he's on the team.  I am under no illusions that football players are all milk and cookie eating good people.  Alot of them are not.  If the legal system /society has determined they are employbable and they play for my team on Sunday.....I'll root for them to help my team win.

Does'nt mean I condone this or other stuff....but having the expectation that these guys are all wonderful people is unrealistic.

Defending trash just makes you look like trash also… and being a KC fan, you have done a lot to up your cred on these boards… but using very rose tinted glasses and pretending this guy needs defended for being a trashy moron is counter productive. I think you actually know better, but you felt you needed to stand up for ya boy. But don’t worry, KC Chiefs are known for being terrible individuals/criminals/trash, so this is par for the course, and you can’t see what’s so bad about it. It’s just how pros should act apparently.

I mean, this is a team who’s QB’s brother could be the Websters definition of trash. Or his wife… or the coaches son… or, or, or… I mean it just doesn’t stop if you keep digging. I won’t be surprised if a lost laptop or bag of white substance shows up in the main office.

Perhaps I am trying to straddle a fine line here...I am not trying to defend his charachter.  He should have just let this go.  It's just a trolling twitter giants fan...but this particluar incident by itself,....isn't much of anything.  Giants fan - you suck, your music sucks.  Toney.  You are ugly and a coward behind a twitter account.  Say it to my face next time.  .... Doesn't really rank up there with worst things ever.  Again..I don't condone this stuff and would rather he not be engaging in it or using the language he does.  I also know alot of football players come from backgrounds and cultures where this is the norm.  I'll take a 65 yard punt return in the SB and his talent at making folks miss...in exchange for putting up with immature twitter exchanges.

This event in and of itself....is not a big deal.

lol, are you really going to dig in arguing the character of Kadarius Toney???

no, not at all.  I don't have a high opinion of Toney's charachter.  But when a guy just disputes another fan and trash talks..this is what constitutes a scumbag?  more or less he's just telling the person they are wrong, and to go F off.  Not great, but what is there to it other than Toney should know better than to let some random fan get under his skin?

  4. ....this isn't a big deal....

Toney shouldn't be engaging with these people, but this is a big nothing.  The 3rd and 6th KC gave up for a guy on a rookie deal and who KC hasn't invested any new money into, already paid for itself with his performance in the SB.

IF anything, maybe this, and few more of these out of sorts outbursts and KC can save a few bucks at the negotiating table when the time comes.

Drew Lock is traded to the Packers.  Jordan Love will be bad and the Packers liked Lock in that draft before Denver traded up in front of them to take him.  Lock establishes himself as the Packer starter by seasons end.

Chiefs go 15-2, host another AFCCG and go on to win SB again vs 49ers.

The Chiefs and Niners as a SB isn't bold...but 15-2 ....that's not eactly the 11.5 Vegas has for the O/U.

(KC loses to Miami in Germany, and then having secured the 1 seed, rests players for week 18 VS the Raiders and lose that)

I wish you lived in Rochester so I could meet you at a bar to discuss these for an hr. I don't think you are wrong I just want to hear your logic out.

fortunately, through the power of the world wide interwebs, I dont' have to be in bar in Rochester...(but that would be cool)

First...let's remember these are supposed to be BOLD.....

    1. Washington makes the playoffs.

IMO, the NFC is very weak, and even with two of the best NFC teams in their division (Dallas and Philly) the Commanders still have a pretty favorable schedule, from finsihing las in the division last season, even though they were basically .500.  They have what I consider a strong D...and I know Sam Howell was a 5th round draft pick and is unproven, but he was on a 1st round trajectory for a lot of his college career and I like Eric Bienemy having a shot to instill some zeal in the commander offense.  I think the Giants overachieved by A LOT last season...and are due for a step back this year.  Given the very weak field and schedule...I can see a path to the playoffs here that will surprise folks.  Keep in mind...there are always a couple teams from year to year no one has playoff expectations for, that rise up.  The Giants last season....is the Commanders this year.

    2. Bengals miss the playoffs.

This one...BOLD....is the opposite of the above prediction.  The AFC is a guantlet and the AFC NORTH....is the hardest division in football IMO.  Baltimore nearly beat, and should have beaten cincy in the playoffs....and they get a healthy, happy Lamar back, with improved targets and an offense that should be more opened up.  At any rate, Bmore is a tough out on any given sunday.  Pittsburgh managed to have a winning record while suffering injuries and breaking in a new QB....who showed himprovement as the year went on.  I think they'll be even more competitive this year with Watt back and Pickett a year seasoned.  I think their draft was a home run as well.  Cleveland is a pretty good roster...and if Watson can regain any sort of form.....they also will be tough...plus they just always play the Bengals well no matter what lately.  That is a true hell for the Bengals to have to emerge out of.  Plus playing a 1st place schedule....and continued O line problems....and you'll all see how awful Orlando Brown is to boot.  I think the line is WORSE than last year.  Not much margin for error.  The Bengals surprisingly miss the post season.

    3. Saints go 12-5

Not as bold as the first 2...but Saints in a bad NFC...in a bad division overall....with the best QB...and relatively good roster....seems like a chance to make hay.

    4.  Cardinals go 0-17

Maybe not that bold..they are odds on favorites to land the no.1 overall pick....but I think the roster is rancid enough to enteratain losing all 17 games.  I think IF they capture the 1/1 in the draft...they will race to the podium in January and draft a new QB, and move on from Murray.

    5.  Steelers go 12-5

So...you might say the Steeler have more or less the same hell to endure that the Bengals do...and that's correct, but I think Tomlin is a better coach, and can naviagate the division and a somewhat easier schedule.  Tomlin can win tough division games.  I think with an ascending QB and roster, they surprise.

  8. I know the Bills saw some of this too...but teams just played a ton of cover 2 shell VS the Chiefs this past year...dropped 7 or 8 into coverage.  ....Andy Ried really preferes that the ball go to a player who is open and alot of the play calls are designed to get a guy open.  KC doens't throw "contested catch" type stuff if they can help it.  Never run that corner fad in the red zone for example... part of that is because KC lacks a jump ball type WR....and part of it is KC likes to use speed and if teams give you short...KC takes short.

  9. 1.  My intent isn't to make this thread a Mahomes thread.

    2. I would bet money that if Diggs isn't on this roster in 2023, the Bills offense keeps on truckin'.

    3.  If you want to argue about the O line.....I will listen to that argument.

    4.  I am sticking to my point.  Allen is an elite NFL QB and does not need an elite WR 1.  I would argue he and the Bills would be better off with a deep group of good WR.

    5.  Joe Burrow has a bad line and elite WR's 3 deep.  They were 12th in yards per play.  KC was 1 and Bills were 2.

    6.  The Bills were 6th in NY/A  KC was 1.  Cincy was 8.  The Bills had nearly the same amount of passing yards on 36 fewer attempts.

The guy who needs the elite WR's is Burrow, not Allen.

What does this have to do with the Bills needing new receivers?

Why don’t you post this on a Chiefs forum?  People might actually give a ****

Mahomes is amazing-  we know this. Congrats.  Maybe the entire message board should give him a standing ovation for being so great.  Maybe we should have a sub forum discussing the greatness of Pat Mahomes.

    no one here cares Z

My point isn't an argument for Mahomes.....it's an argument that Allen has reached a point at which you don't need to suffer a high priced diva WR to have a high powered, productive offense.  I post this about Mahomes, not to boast, but to illustrate that KC has reached a point in Mahomes development where he also doesn't need elite divas and is free to deliver a ball where it should go, and not worry about making sure WR X gets his stats.  Some argue here that Mahomes has Kelce and so the arguement doens't apply....I just threw this up to point out that while Kelce is awesome, Mahomes picks and chooses where to put that ball without considering that Kelce or anyone else gets numbers.

The entire point of this post from start to finish is that Allen and the Bills would be better off at this point, without the drama of a Diggs...and that Allen is able to lead a high powered offense with lower priced, "good" WR.....I use the term low self esteem jokingly, but guys who are good players not elite, not expensive and not thin skinned complainers.

There was a time when it was a plus to add Diggs.  I believe he really did help the team and Allen develop...and if the drama and price tag weren't so high...Diggs would still be a great piece.  At this point...when you have a QB the caliber of Allen.  Diggs isn't worth the cost in money and he isn't worth having in your locker room.

  11. I wanted to throw this in the mix.  The first tweet is Mahomes conversion rate on 3rd and 5 or more.  ......but the kicker is the following tweet and stat where he would have still been 2nd in the NFL if you only count throws to any but Kelce.

I kid, but I don't absolutely hate the idea of a blue helmet. We have seen white and red already. I saw one with an all white buffalo outlines with red a while back and it looked solid. A lot of people will pan it simply because it's new and different and people are uncomfortable with change.

I sorta am one.  The Bills are the team I root for when they aren't playing KC.  This place and Josh Allen made me a fan.

  13. I get bored at work and sometimes I kill time messing around with MS paint.  Today, during a very dull 12 hour shift...I came up with these.

    1.  I am not a professional artist.

    2. I only know how to use MS paint, not photoshop etc.

    3. You all know I'm a Chiefs fan.  I am not trying to bag on your current uniforms.  The  Bills have good uniforms as is.

    4. I tried not to stray too far from elements that make the Bills brand what it is, but they are different.  I am sure MOST of you will pan these, but whatever.  I'm here for the comments and criticisms etc.

    What I have here -

Blue helmet with a red buffalo and blue streak.  I always liked the red standing buffalo logo.  I tried this on a white helmet and thought it looked better in blue.

Added a secondary buffalo head logo, which I placed on the shoulder sides, and eliminated the sleeve striping.

Went with a slightly different font for the nubmers...and while this isn't traditional block font, it's not a whole lot different, but just a bit more modern and less generic than block.

went with a non contiguous two-tone pants stripe.  The white pants have red and blue striping, and the blue pants have red and white striping.

Added an AFL original member patch to the upper left side of the jersey with "RW" initials on the football in honor of Ralph WIlson.

This seems like an extremely overconfident statement. I usually like your posts, but this one ... yeesh.

KC has arguably the greatest receiving Tight End of all time ... but you feel confident that if he was taken away, Mahomes would still shine? What makes you feel confident in this if you've never seen it?

Aaron Rodgers BEAT Mahomes twice in a row for the MVP in 2020 and 2021, then his best WR was taken away in 2022 and he was average that season.

How are you so confident that the same wouldn't happen to Mahomes? Is Mahomes that much better than Rodgers and everyone else?

If you look at those seasons, Rodgers threw to Adams 169 times in 2020 and 149 times in 2021.  the next most targeted guys.  In those same 2 seasons, Tyreek Hill was targeted 135 and 159 times.

When Mahomes lost Hill, he efficiently was able to distribute those lost targets to other players.  He actually had a career high comp% last season, without Hill.  as well as higher Y/A and YPG.  His QBR was up from 62 to 77, his QB Rating was up from 98.5 to 105.  NONE of Mahomes metrics got worse....they all got better after losing Tyreek Hill, who he threw to more than anyone on the team.  He threw for over 500 MORE yards, 4 MORE TD's  One fewer INT....

When Rodgers lost his leading WR (Adams)  ....all his metric got worse....

And so you might say that doesn't account for Kelce being gone....Rodger didn't have a Kelce.  We won't know for sure what Mahomes will do once Kelce declines/retires....but based on losing a top 5 WR and all those targets....Mahomes didn't have any trouble adjusting and distributing.  I'm confident that Mahomes will continue to play at a very high level.  I believe Allen is that same kind of player at this point.  If Diggs got hurt, holds out etc....Allen is going to deliver big plays, and get the ball into the right place at the right time most of the time.

It really is this simple.  Sure I B word about their decisions like the best of Bills fans but the reality is that this is the 2nd best Bills organization in the last 56 years.

How big of a sample size are we dealing with here?

56 years worth.  But I think what you are asking is how many times has there actually been a HC and starting QB together 5 years or more and didn't win it.

    Andy Ried and Donovan McNabb

    Dan Reeves and John Elway

    Sam Wyche and Boomer Esiason

    Marv Levy and Jim Kelly

    Mike Smith and Matt Ryan

    Ron Rivera and Cam Newton

    Andy Ried and Alex Smith

    Jeff Fisher and McNair

    Don Shula and Dan Marino

    Marvin Lewis and Andy Dalton

    Chuck Pagano and Andrew Luck

    Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer

Of the 31 head coaches to win at least one Super Bowl, 27 of them won their first championship within the first five seasons with that team. Only Chuck Noll (six years in Pittsburgh), John Madden (eight years in Oakland), Tom Landry (12 years in Dallas), Bill Cowher (14 years in Pittsburgh) and Andy Ried (7 years in KC) needed more than five years to capture that elusive first ring.

Only 4 coaches and QB tandems got their fist SB win exactly 5 years in

    John Harbaugh and Joe Flacco

    Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning

    Mike Holmgren and Brett Favre

    Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw

You seriously suck for bumping a horrible April Fool's joke.

Is it scaring you right now that Buffalo has a significantly better roster than last year (when they were widely considered the best roster in the NFL) and are likely not to suffer from as many "hands-of-God" events emotionally affecting the team?

In case you're wondering, I'm referring to 2 generational blizzards/snow storms and the unprecedented event of a teammates dying on the field.

That's leaving out a ton of stuff that I can educate you with if you want... but why don't you just figure it out.

This thread was stupid. Why did you bump it? Trepidation?

Since you ask...I think the Bills are RIGHT THERE to be a contender again for the SB.  I consider the Bills the biggest obstacle for KC to get back...and there is no reason why the Bills shouldn't be considered a favorite again this year.

I do think the Bills season, that got off to such a great start, got derailed by having to deal with so much emotionally.  Von getting hurt also seemed to take some of the wind out of the sails.

But....the main point was, and still is....to emphasize Josh Allen has become the elite QB that does not need to depend on star WR/TE/RB at this point.  Trading for Diggs at the time, was a great move.  It clearly helped....and Diggs reamains an elite WR that will still be a great player.....but Allen doesn't need that now.  You can put "good" WR's around Allen, and Allen is going to make plays, get the ball to the optimal target, etc.

I see some have mentioned Kelce as the reason Mahomes was able to shine with no Hill and a hodge podge of WR's.  It's a fair point.  I would say that at this point, Mahomes is at a level where when Kelce declines/retires....Mahomes is going to make plays and find the optimal throw.

When you have a QB who facilitates the offense efficiently, makes plays, and one who you have confidence in to deliver the ball to the best spot play after play...the need for a highly paid, WR1, is diminished.  And....might even be better off for the whole team if you don't have a WR who demands X throws his way....even if those aren't always the most efficient or best options play to play.

At this point, I'd trust Allen to be every bit as good or better than he's been if you changed out Diggs for someone like .....Allen Robinson.....or Darnell Mooney.......JuJu....and so on.

All this of course is just my opinion....but IMO...Bills would be better off (at this point or soon) spending less at WR...and more on Oline and D.  Allen is that QB that will operate well and elevate the WR's out there.  Get him the best line money can by and spend the rest on D, where Allen can't directly impact performance.

    That isn't a typo.

Josh Allen is elite now.  Diggs served his purpose, much like Tyreek Hill served his in Kansas City.  They gave shooting star QB's reliable, talented targets they could confidently throw to, helping to establish confidence and develop the QB's mental game.

Hill complained after being traded (at least he watied to make this public when he was already gone) that he wasn't being focused on enough, or getting enough targets...etc.

The Chiefs traded him away, used the assets and cap space to improve other parts of the team, AND then went out and performed even better on offense.  I strongly believe that a reason why this happend is becasue Mahomes was entirely free to run each and every play with the idea that making the most optimal throw is what mattered.  Not to massage an ego or placate a guy wanting a larger role etc.  You can make a strong case KC's WR room isn't any great shakes.  I'd agree with that.  They don't need to be.  Zach Wilson isn't our QB....and he's not the Bills QB either.  Josh Freaking Allen is.  Allen doesn't need elite, high cots WR's to shine now.

I know the Bills are committed to this season as an all in, all chips to the middle of the table type season....that's fine.  I wouldn't even say that it's a bad idea....but I think it would be better if you moved Diggs for all you could possibly get, go sign a couple vets who need to prove it, who have maybe some low self esteem because they've fallen out of favor due to injury etc....get a couple mid level guys who you know are good pros.  Let ALLEN run the team.. let HIM dictate the best place for the ball to go.  It's his job to run as efficient, well managed offense as he possibly can....not make sure pouting WR's see the ball X number of times a game.

Use the resources to add to your team in areas that Allen doesn't directly impact, like the defense etc.  If the guys work out...they move on, sign big deal somewhere else...and you reload with a couple more dudes who need to prove it again.  There is never a shortage of these guys and they overplay their contracts consistantly.  Plus, you'll be supplimenting these WR's with WR's you draft who are cheap and cost controlled.

ALLEN is it. He's why you are 3rd best odds to win Super Bowl this upcoming season.. LEAN INTO IT.

I stand by this now as much as I did back in April.  (and no, this was not an April Fool's joke)

  18. Regarding Jones:

He wants an extension.  He is going into the final year of his current deal.  he's 29, but he keeps himself in EXCELLENT shap..and his body type is one that lasts more than some other DT's.  Jones is 6'5 295.  He's lean and ripped.  Alot like Reggie White type of body.  It should last for a while longer.  ...he's also commented many times that he wants to be a Chief for life.  Last time Jones was due for an extension, this is exactly what happend then as well.  He'll hold out...but really he's waiting on Quennin Williams to get done so when he signs his deal,,,it won't be surpassed for a while.  Williams is the other DT due an extension of many this offseason that hasn't signed yet.

The salary cap isn't the problem in this case for the Chiefs....actually getting an extension done on Jones will give them some cap relief as they'll suddenly have years of room to kick money into.  KC will do it, but they are always reluctant to put out the CASH.

Anyhow.  Jones loves KC, wants to retire a Chief....he's just using the only leverage he has to push.  No one in KC is wondering what's up.

  19. I always admired Marv Levy...thought he was a really good FB coach....I remember one of the Bills/Cowboys superbowl years....somehow the topic got onto the Cowboys being "Americas Team" and Levy took exception to that for some reason...and retorted that the Bills were actually Americas team because they were "red white and blue".   .....it was kind of cringe....  it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things and also, being Red White and Blue doens't automatically make you anything except red white and blue.
