If we are moving up it better be for Barron or Johnson.
Otherwise the cluster of Amos, Revel, Hairston or Morrison one should be there in round 2 for us
Looks like we are taking a swing at a mid to late round WR which I’m fine with.
But ultimately we still lack a bonafide Alpha WR 1 which are usually found in round 1.
I pleaded to trade up for Brian Thomas or Odunze last year (knowing full well Harrison and Nabers were too far . Nabers was my #1 over Harrison )
But this year I don’t see an Alpha WR1 in this class. Maybe it’s Tet. Maybe Higgins but they aren’t sure bets like the other 4 I listed . This isn’t the year to go get a WR early.
J Smith in 2027 could go first overall. He’s that good. He would be a top 5 WR in the NFL and he’s not draft eligible for two more years
Go get that guy.
Im also of the opinion that these players know this is a business . Look at what the top WR’s make vs the top corners. It’s not even close and Travis knows this. And all these guys want the bag $$$ so he’s going to definitely want to play WR regardless of what the team wants him to do .
Most of the smoke right now is that he still wants to play full time at both. Many are saying Cleveland will possibly give him that chance or more likely use him at WR. I could see the Pats doing the same .
It’s a unique and interesting situation that is fun to follow
Fair enough I did look back and you didn’t specifically give your opinion but rather did say “general consensus” .
However I do find it notable that the best draft analyst in the world is of the opinion that he could be a better and more upside as a WR
All good !
@GunnerBill @NewEra
I know you guys are of the opinion that Hunter is a better corner but I’ll continue to say that he’s a better the better WR.
And it’s a fun debate to have .
Watch all the best corners in the league.
They get their head around and see the ball coming and make a play on it.
Guys that can’t track the ball constantly get beat or called for DPI
