  1. exactly to my point lol This isn't old school madden football with endless cap space lol
  2. this is not Madden Football... do you know how rarely a tag and trade happens in the NFL?
  3. Our mistake started when you lack competition for positions. WR, G, T are the best examples this year. Players are not pushed to what they are capable of doing if they are just given the job without earning it. We did not create or bring in enough talent to compete and bring out the best of these players.. It really is this simple. We could afford to bench a McKenzie for drops the prior year cause we had competition at the position he was in. This year with Davis? Who would replace davis for playing like trash? No one. Thus... it becomes acceptable as time goes on.
  4. So... Last year at this time... I suggested that maybe we should contract him then because if he has a really really solid year, then his price tag is going to be so high that one solid year wont justify the worth. If we would of contracted him last year and extend his contract instead of the 1 year option? we would of saved millions... Everyone slammed me for it... Now we stuck and likely have to let him go and the SAME PEOPLE on these boards are going "on crap" This team made a huge mistake. just my opinion and I am sticking with it. Just because you can cheap out on a 5th year option, does not make it the "right" option.
  5. yea, sadly there are others in this thread that disagree and because so, it makes it laughable
  6. not only that, they would have to do EVERY GAME... its just stupid. thanks for getting it.
  7. I have, and trust me... 500 people do not represent 60k. sample size is to small to be accurate. thats been my point and i stand behind that point.
  8. to have a specific score yea.. its expensive. so lets say its 500 people. Does 500 people represent the other 60 k? you just made it look even worse.
  9. do doubt For starters, Police could not be specific to cases. Secondly.. Ho many get dwi driving home from the stadium... Just for chits and giggles lets say that number is 100. does that 100 represent 60k? come on man... we are both reasonable people and there is no way they can back their numbers with facts
  10. right. And how many people you think at a bills game will subject themselves to a breath test? LOL And lets just say for ***** sakes that is what they did? So maybe at the most 5% of 60k agree to it? Do you think that maybe 5% (3,000 people) that did it represents enough of the people for it to be accurate? and do you think even after that, if they did it say half the games that it represents a sure accurate number? come on man... lol And can you imagine the costs of doing a vast amount of breath tests would be?
  11. so I agree and disagree with this statement. FA IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE FOR NEED! that is a captain obvious statement. But one could argue the Diggs move was long term building. Some times you don't just get fa for short term thus your statement is a mixed bag. How drafting is done, is a mix of 1. need, 2. talent and then how the cookies crumble to your pick. My statement below explains it the best. If you think our needs are not important to how we or teams draft then your nuts.
  12. seriously.... there is no way as a whole they could prove or deny these numbers... they maybe asked what 1000 people what they think there alc. content was? this is so beyond stupid....
  13. I think it would be sad if this topic did not make it 10 pages.
  14. I think its funny that this gets brought up over and over again this offseason when early season last year I argued that this team is not the most talented complete team in football and i got dumped on.
  15. I am pretty sure that is what doc just said lol
  16. yep I been saying it for a long time and people don't get it. What BPA really means is Valued need.
  17. right now? of course!!! but you add a dude line Henrry to this line up (not to say it would even remotely happen) Both players are going to make an OL way better then how they really are. This cant really be argued can it?
  18. I would argue that a dude named Derrik Henry way more often than not, gets the first player to miss thus making an OL look much better than it really is. BPA at Value sums it up perfectly. well said.
  19. sigh. this conversation comes up every year around this time. 1. You have a set of positions of need and a rank for how high the need is 2. Your draft nominees have your own GM ranking system that is ranked by talent. 3. When the draft pick comes they look at their needs and look at what is left in the draft talent wise for the position. So. GM has a set of ranks for potential draft picks and a set of ranks where they need players. Then they choose by what is the best talented player for their top few needs. Another words.. IF the GM's needs in this order are WR, OL, HB (just as an example) and the most talented by far player left is a HB, then they will choose HB. If HB is BPA (Best Player Available) to their needs, but OL is a very close second and OL is a much higher scaled need? Then they will do a slight "reach" to get their need because the talented player levels are close enough to do so. None of has have a CLUE what our GM and HC draft philosophies are other than... we have a defensive minded HC. Another words.. BPA is a real thing, yet it is not as simple as that.
  20. preach on MJS
  21. 2021 he was out half of the season with injury 2022 he was with a team that he was top WR on a team that DID NOT PASS MUCH... Ten. If we going to slam the guy... lets at least get all the info left. I trust this coaching to know if a guy is washed up or not. Comes back home to a low contract YES absolutely. The dude going to play like he needs to prove something....
