They matched him up against Kelce and bumped him around hard, then a Safety took over after 5 yards. Worked very well. I have no issue with this move, especially when we may see more 4-3 do to no Edmunds

With the state of our WR's we have right now? It would not shock me if we ran more this year.. RB.. not QB runs. Keep in mind... this kid is no where close to what I want round 1... but if we landed him? I would not be upset. The HC has been very clear about wanting to protect the QB this year and how we go about doing it.. QB Slides and more RB runs. I would rather have T, WR well over a RB.

I agree.. And there is proof of concept on this kid unlike Cook. This is a proven RB, where as Cook not so much.

I did a draft profile on him 3 weeks ago. Anyone that says he is the came as Cook is clueless. This guy is Cook on steroids. I would not be mad at this choice... but would not be my first choice.

It's never who, but how. 2 seasons ago Milano was out and Klien did a fantastic job harassing him within the first 5-7 yards then a dime back or Safety took over duties making sure their bodies were underneath. If Kelce went really deep then the nickel CB picked him up. A Big Bodied OLB is what Cincy used to. I believe Pratt bumped and run him all game and within the first 5 yards allowed Kelce got harassed big time, not allowing him to explode to get open quickly. Don't get me wrong, I will always love me some Milano.. but to stop Kelce you have to be physical in the first 5 and that is not Minano's game.

This is nothing personal towards you ok? But. This is just a big pile of trash. One big name says it in the press, then everyone starts saying it.. They grade the top 250, put a number to it then compare to other draft classes and then WALA all over the press they scream... "this is a bad draft class" That is one big pile of doodoo. Most of this is said because of the QB and WR positions is not great this year, but there are a lot of other good positions. Everything on OL is deep. Everything on the DL is Deep. OLB's look really good this year. So do Safeties. Skilled positions? Yea... I could ride on that... but the draft in general? Bottom line? Who the hell knows... Noone has a crystal ball in their lap. You know what else happens when media screams bad draft class? The media that does the big scout reports you see online... They Dig more at false negatives and post it where when it's said there is a good draft class? you see the media put more false positive information on a scout report then negatives. This is exactly why I do my own reports.
