In theory maybe, but, this will not happen. The demand for seats in places like Dallas and Washington will never match the availability. In those places, people will pay the going rates. And much like the NHL strike, and the earlier MLB strike, people will come back.

He missed spring practice and didn't get into the swing until late in the summer. He never had a chance against Henne. because after Henne got that year of experience, he was the better QB. I think because Gutierrez had so little playing time, he needs a couple of seasons just to learn the position. At best he would be a 3rd string quarterback. Whether or not he is able to move up, depends on him....he has the physical tools to compete.

I don't know what else Marv could have done except promise Nate not to put the franchise tag on him again. Nate wasn't showing up for the mini camps and may not have shown up for some of training camp if Marv had not made that promise. The defense was in the process of changing to a "Tampa 2". Nate needed to get in and learn that system. The Bills had a cooperative Nate after the promise. He showed up for some of the mini camps. He played well last season. But for two years he has said he wants to be paid as the best corner in the NFL. That was not something the Bills would do. The Bills knew Nate was gone two years ago. They got a very good year from him. Without the promise the Bills would have had a Briggs situation on their hands last year, and if franchised again they would have a Briggs situation on their hands this year. I don't think the draft pick compensation could have been worth it.

I don't know if you have target back east or not....maybe it is twin fair or hills....anyways, we were checking out and I noticed that one item did not show up on the receipt. So I brought it to customer service, who told me to just keep it. They couldn't figure out how to take it back with their cash register software.....go figure...

I don't think there is a lot of negotiation going on...but I do think there is a couple of questions about what a guy is asking for and whether or not the team can accomodate the price...if so they talk about connecting. If the player wants to shop more than they probably never get to the connecting part.

Money isn't a motivator for everyone.

I don't know why that is. Do they think the $5 isn't worth it to the charity? Or do they think the big cats should do it? Either way, they do miss the point, their $5 counts and it does help. It is usually the $5 that the old folks fork over that gets things done.
