  1. Ya, you are right. It would be better to move them up to the San Jose area just south of San Francisco and call them the San Jose Billies.
  2. For the Bills, he probably is the best.
  3. Here is a copy of the email that I sent. Use it or improve on it if you want. My Name My Address My Phone Number My Email Address April 7, 2005 Dear Senator Clinton: Today, in a press conference, the owner of the Buffalo Bills, Ralph Wilson, expressed his concern for the long range viability of the Bills in western NY. His message is the reason for my writing to you. The Bills are an integral part of western NY. They generate about 33 million dollars in revenue for local businesses each year. When Mr. Wilson says that this revenue is in jeopardy because of unfair conditions in sharing revenues between teams in the NFL, I believe him. ESPN news gave an example of the types of conditions that Mr. Wilson feels are detrimental to the future of the Bills. The one I found most compelling in its attack on western NY is the one concerning the sale of a team; the new owners will not be eligible for revenue sharing. This condition alone is sufficient for the next owner of the Bills to move the franchise out of western NY. The loss of the 33 million in local revenues would be catastrophic to the economic well being of the area. As my congressperson, you have promised to represent the interests of western NY. I believe you should involve yourself with this issue. I request that you contact Paul Tagliabue, Commissioner of the NFL and urge him to involve all parties in the NFL with constructing and designing the conditions for revenue sharing. I also urge you to hold him accountable for the fairness of the conditions. Commissioner Tagliabue has announced his desire to resign the post. I urge you to suggest the appropriate replacement is Roger Goodell, a member of the NFL and a western New Yorker who understands the needs and conditions of the small market teams in the NFL. Thank you for your efforts in this matter. Good luck to you in the next election. Respectfully, MY NAME
  4. On a positive note...we won't be sitting there at 1-0 thinking JP may in fact be the future QB of the Bills.
  5. I'm hoping all three of the QBs are taken in the first 7 picks...then we get a impact guy and won't have to take a nobody named Winston.
  6. Yesterday Polian was interviewed about the CBA on WGR and his thought was that teams like Indy and Buffalo will have a hard time if they do not sell out. The business community in these two cities do everything they can, but they cannot compete with the Fortune 500's in other cities. In the end, the only hope for the Bills is that the State of NY, and Erie county will do what is right. They will lower tax rates including sales tax. They will fight to bring new business to the region and they will subsidize any business that relocates to the area through tax breaks.
  7. Speak for yourself! I distinctly recall Heidegger from the Hogan Hero's series.
  8. In english, you said, " I'm guessing about what I would find interesting..." If you have to guess about what interests you then for me, it isn't worth reading.
  9. The University of Spoiled Children!?!?! ....no. Who in their right mind would go to a school whose mascot is a condom?
  10. I think they can name it anything they want...but when it is all said and done...everyone will still call it The Ralph.
  11. In english...you said....if one believes the threat, then it is real, and therefore in this case the threat to move is real. I don't believe the threat. Your premise doesn't hold, so your conclusion has not been established. So, I need not read past the first line.
  12. Do you think this could have anything to do with the JP trade rumors over the last week or so? Nah...probably not.
  13. Why? LA didn't support the Rams when they were there....and they didn't support the Raiders when they were there.
  14. I believe that is so for the first 500K. After that it is capital gains equivalent. That is 28% I believe. So, 28% of 700 million dollars is about...... 200 million dollars. I guess Ralph's family has that in the closet.
  15. He would have made about a million more than that money over the last two years of his contract.
  16. How about these 5 reasons - 93 Sape, Lauvale DT 6-1 296 25 3 Utah 75 Tripplett, Larry DT 6-2 295 27 5 Washington 99 Jefferson, Jason DT 6-1 310 24 2 Wisconsin 77 Anderson, Tim DT 6-3 304 25 3 Ohio State 68 Brown, LaWaylon DT 6-5 305 25 1 Oklahoma State These are our DT going into next season. And Sape is coming off IR from a leg injury. You don't even have a rotation with these guys.
  17. There is a point at which you wouldn't want to trade down.
  18. Why if you were to stop him, then he wouldn't be able to post at all!
  19. Well...first you have to assume that the radio report is correct...which I wouldn't take as gospel yet. Then, I would wonder what he was offered by the Bills. If the best Moulds could do was the 12 million over 4 years, then I would hope the Bills would counter-offer before doing anything else. Then the Bills should just sit on it for a while to see what others would be willing to do with Moulds.
  20. ESPN 790 is also saying that the Texans have a verbal with Moulds for 4 years and 12 million. Pretty cheap. But, they do not have an agreement with Buffalo yet.
  21. Good post! If you go back through the interviews on Buffalobills.com, you'll also see a reporter ask JP what he thought of Moulds and others going to the coach and asking for Holcomb to start. JP asked the reporter point blank.."He did?!?" After that it was over between JP and Moulds. It looks like JP is pretty immature and let Moulds actions affect their relationship on the field....because JP was not throwing the ball in Moulds direction after that.
