All your years of watching football and you never seen a player improve?

Dude. The point is.... you cannot look back on what you’ve seen from him and make statements about the pass game improving. We can only evaluate what he’s done and with a better supporting cast he didn’t do anything more than what we’ve seen. That’s the bottom line. There was nothing seen there to say it would be an improvement on what we just had other than his clutch play in the playoffs. That’s always nice to see. And obviously something Taylor lacked BIG TIME.

Maybe he improves. I would hope he has over the last 2 seasons. But it’s not a given he’s an upgrade.

    -Getting WRs more involved

-Getting the ball out on time takes pressure off Oline

    - The two above may open up some room Shady

Tyrods biggest weakness in my opinion was his play late in games when you need to score. He continued to play safe. In all 3 of his seasons here he just couldn’t get the job done. There was also plenty of times late in first half where we had the ball, some points can have big impact on the game in this situation. Tyrod goes 3 and out, the other team gets the ball and they put points on the board.

All can help offense improve,  and the play late in games can have a major impact on our final record

People forget that with an offense that featured green, sanu and Marvin jones at wr McCarron succeeded in passing for over 200 yds just once in his four starts back in 2015. He’s really shown nothing to support anyone’s assertion he’s gonna get wr’s more involved or improve the passing game at all.

He very well might be able to. And I really hope he does but he’s not done much to prove he can.

Tyrod. "So I hear your taking my job"

McC. " yeah man they want you out this season but couldn't get it done"

Tyrod"no they were very happy with me"

McC,"is that why another OC got fired"

    Tyrod,"man that dude was horrible"

McC,"You think you can blame the OC in Cleveland when things fall apart again"

Tyrod," for sure man Cleveland won't figure it out for at least 3 seasons, every year a new OC baby"

McC. " I hear your real good at holding towels on your head"

Tyrod,"yeah man I dress really well too, won the best dressed man on the team two years running"

McC, " man Cleveland, I feel for ya"

Tyrod, "yeah it's the only place that would let me start"

McC, " you know Cleveland is drafting a QB so you being a starter there will be short lived"

Tyrod,"I made some friends on the team that will make sure I play all season"

McC, "oh so similar to what happened to Peterman when you were on the bench"

    Tyrod, "Exactly"

McC, "well I will see you around maybe even play against you if you can get them brownies a wild card"

Tyrod,"wild card, we going to take the division"

McC," hahahahahahahahaha, that's a good one man, you should have that printed on the back of those towels you wear so when Darnold gets that division championship you can pretend it was you that made it happen, hahaha, division, qith you at QB, hahaha, your a funny man"

    you need help.

well whatever....i have all the faith in the world that for right now, we have a guy that can win games for us. our passing game will be greatly improved and for once we have a guy who can play in the 4th qtr.

In the 4 games McCarron started when dalton went down, on a team with aj green, Marvin jones and sanu, his passing outputs were 160, 180, 200 and 212 yds.....

The pass game may improve. But McCarron has done close to nothing for you to make the claims you are making. They are completely made up.

it is in the sense that ajm will do for us (turn around our offense), with similar success to jimmy g. in san fran.

What in God’s name have you seen from McCarron to make such a claim? He hardly set the world on fire when he got time in cincy and that was a team with talent everywhere on offense.

That statement literally has no grounds to stand on.

Its very interesting. Almost everybody agrees that "Darnold, Allen, Rosen, and Mayfield" are the top 4. And Jackson is 5th, and Rudolph is the 6th guy. I have this feeling that Rudolph or Jackson might end up going earlier than some of the top 4. I also believe that how good these 6 guys end up being will be completely different than how we are viewing them now. I feel in the long run, 3 of these guys will be good, and 3 will be busts. The bills have to take a chance on one of them, but it is most likely a crapshoot.

I just said the other day to a friend, don’t be surprised if, after workouts and meetings, Jackson and Rudolph pass a couple of the “big four” for certain teams lists.

On another note. Rudolph was on the path to the draft studio last night and was fairly impressive.... the list is hardly set in stone.

One thing is for sure.....his WRs are awful.  Dropping passes nonstop.  His footwork looks improved.  The intermediate boundaries still a question mark.  He’s money over the middle though.

right. the commentary was fairly vocal about how awful those wr's were. lol.

Not sure what that has to do with how poorly run this pro day was as well as the whole weird vibe with the "mom agent" watching on the sideline. You can actually see his draft stock falling in front of our eyes. No need to be so defensive. He can be a good player but the mismanagement of his draft process is definitely going to hurt

brooks and DJ were just on the network saying it was all in all a solid day. nothing to move him one way or the other though really.... and i'm no scout but that's sorta what I took away as well.

the mom thing is weird. lol.

Dude he’s having a great showing so far.

And all 32 NFL teams are there

lol.... the format so far has drawn jokes from mayock and others. he hasn't attempted anything they want to see yet... hopefully he will but calling it a great showing so far is sorta crazy.

its evident they started out trying to showcase some of their other propects at rb with the shorter routes.... they just touched on it again, that he hasn't attempted a single throw they want to see him improve on from the season.

Not really.  Plenty of teams kick high and short of the goal line knowing there's a good chance the KOR won't make it to the 25.

I just mean from a scoring and return stand point.... I would love to see the numbers of kicks being returned for tds since the rule change as opposed to before that.

rarely do you fear a return anymore no matter who is back there fielding it. that wasn't the case years ago.... I get it. I understand why they did it...... but I hate it.

    4 minutes ago, Jay_Fixit said:

    As if kickoffs matter anymore.

People need to stop complaining. They’re only really useful if an onside is needed.

well ya.... becuz they screwed with them in the first place and moved the kicker up 5 yds.... so theres really nothing to see there anymore.

Do you like marshmallow peeps?  I have you pegged for a guy that likes marshmallow peeps.

I just saw a recipe online for those the other day that had to do with melting heavy cream and chocolate in a pan and baking the peeps like a glorious marshmellow shell on top of them. then you dip graham crackers into that like easter chips and dip. it looked freaking fabulous. I may consider eating peeps if they were prepared in that fashion.

Shady just led our team in receptions and rushing yards...

we should pay him like a #1 WR and running back ??

Bells a beast but it don't work like that

its as if bell thinks he's the first RB to ever catch a bunch of passes out of the backfield...  I live in erie, pa. right on the outskirts of "stiller" country. he has been BELOVED by that fan base for most of his stay and even they have now grown cold on him. they are all fed up and ready to move on.

Ya gotta just love the comment above indicating that Mayfield is "...built like a running back from the waste down."  Some who have been around Mayfield would propose that his head is a more true location of waste.

haahaha. I definitely misspelled that didn't I? yikes

You are correct, I didn't support it.  Brees is well known for his athleticism.  For example, he could have been a professional tennis player.  As for Mayfield's work ethic, his lack of conditioning and strength tell the tale.

and you have something to back up that claim?.... as qb's go Mayfield is fairly impressive physically. he's built like a running back from the waist down.

again watch brees at purdue and then Mayfield and tell me who looks like the better athlete on the field. you are just tossing crap out onto the wall and hoping it sticks with no real evidence to back it up.

  14. 1 minute ago, auburnbillsbacker said:

If drafting a pocket passer is the goal why draft a 6'00 tall QB? The Brees argument doesn't cut it for me as Brees is almost 6"1 and has the arm length of a man who is 6"5.  Brees is also a superior athlete to Mayfield with a much stronger work ethic.  Smoke screen?

the bolded is literally not supported by anything..... I would argue Mayfield up to this point in his career has displayed way better athleticism than brees up to that point at purdue..... and Mayfield WALKED ON at 2 different schools. that takes seriously work ethic. you've shown how much you know about the guy. that's for sure.

This would be perfect. The only QB I’d want to take other than Darnold that high.

Who knows how true it is, but I just don’t see teams taking someone like Mayfield in the top 5.

The Bills get Mayfield and I’m holding a punch and pie party.

well the 26th is my birthday..... i'm gonna have to email them and ask if its possible, when they select him, if he could jump out of a cake..... birthday suit optional.
