  1. Good summary on each of his top 8 units so far in 2019. Hard to argue with the Pats a #1. At this point it may be a toss up between our Bills and the Niners. Was pleased to see he gave our unit the nod at #2, though! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001066462/article/patriots-bills-niners-bears-among-top-nfl-defenses-of-2019 2 BILLS 2019 RANKINGS Points allowed: 4th Yards allowed: 3rd Against the pass: 3rd Against the run: 7th This defense does not boast a single All-Pro player, and the unit's only Pro Bowler from 2018, Kyle Williams, retired in the offseason. No Bill ranks in the top 10 in sacks or in Pro Football Focus' coverage grades. And yet, under head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, the whole is much greater than the sum of the defensive parts in Buffalo. The Bills rank third in the NFL in points and yards allowed per game, which explains how a team with an offense that is barely averaging more than two touchdowns per game is 4-1. And Buffalo's defensive ranking should get even better after upcoming matchups against the Dolphins (Week 7) and Redskins (Week 9). McDermott is one of the top coaches in the NFL, and I'm feeling as confident as ever in my preseason prediction that the Bills will make the playoffs in 2019
  2. great day on the board. pass rush win rate, AJ green for the next 6 first rounders..... and what is a twink?
  3. the couple of gravel lots that's straddle hwy 20 there just as you cross over abbott. always been some real characters down there..... and i thoroughly enjoy it. i guess i should have worded it "A" rowdy lot and not "the" rowdy lot. as there are plenty around.
  4. i agree. i said something similar to this earier. love almost everything that's happened so far. only reason i'm going B+ and not an A is because of the unforgivable Nathan Peterman saga.
  5. the reason I love to tailgate there is because of the unique experience it provides.... I have no desire to sit down in a restaurant or packed bar like any other weekend out and about. and if they were to team that up with a dome they would lose most of my attendance all together. my son is browns fan. took him when he was 10 a couple years ago to watch them play the bills. set up a tailgate and had a really nice time. I obviously explained to him that if he happened to see any less than stellar behavior that it wasn't to be emulated or commended ... was in the rowdy lot for this years opener didn't witness any fights. in fact it was nothing but people having a good ole time. I think maybe the people bothered so much by this are actively looking for it. i'm not trying to single you out with that comment. just people noticing in general. i'm don't de-railing the thread though. so i'll agree to disagree.
  6. I honestly do get this.... over the last couple years we've tailgated every where from the community college lot right there to the rage lots down below the stadium... are their drunks doing dumb things? sure. are they part of my tailgate or ruining my experience in any manner at all? NOPE. in fact my mom loves coming to the opener with us every year. she doesn't drink one bit. wont even say a curse word. she personally just sits back and laughs at some of the stuff we see around the stadium and always asks for the invite the next season.
  7. this is a bit aggressive.... the dude has never put up 1000 yds yet and that's not even that hard to hit for guys in the NFL now days. brown already has one under his belt and is on pace for 1200 through 5 so far this year with a team that's not throwing for a ton of yards and inconsistencies in the pass game. I get there is a lot more to the position than yards but his production hasn't been anything to write home about. whats up with the Anderson love in this thread?
  8. I’m looking at all 3 years. B+.... great job great job making the playoffs after gutting talent in 17. Great job finishing 4-2 that year after it looked like a mid season implosion would derail us. Great job keeping the team competitive with a rookie qb last year working through cap hell. Great start to the season and bounce back from an emotional pats loss. .... and then there’s all the peterman stuff. Which is nearly unforgivable. so B+ it is. I would guess 2 out of 3 years is in the top end of the league in general over that span. There is so much parity and turnover. We’ll have to wait and see but I’d guesss no more than 10-12 teams will have gone 2 out of the last 3 years. .... and ya if he pulls it off and we are grading on a bills curve it’s an A++++++ ?
  9. Is that what you Twinks are calling it now days?
  10. I’ll always like him. Great guy.... hope he has an absolutely miserable Sunday. I can’t imagine feeling any other way about it anytime he’s competent against our bills.
  11. dang... I had a feeling brown was gonna have a good one this sunday. he's due.
  12. I've paid little attention to them... exactly how banged up are they up front? do you know off hand? i'm with you on fitz. not super worried but his hot streaks plant a seed in the back of my mind.
  13. I was gonna say something. but that poster has a certain way about him that I don't even like getting involved..... you are right. the comparison used was a stupid one.
  14. its been a lot of neal in there right? or kevin Johnson? both? either way what a DEEP group. kudos to mcd for making it work and beane for signing and drafting these guys.
  15. Am I missing something? Wasn’t the lions game last year sort of a “nothing” game?
  16. Well we didn’t notice him in there... I think that’s at least a solid sign. Haha.
  17. i'm fairly certain this dude has been getting torched all season.
  18. I saw this earlier today. 3-2 bears had a bye and a backup qb and hop us? odd.
  19. I had thought he was gonna get a half there as well.
  20. exactly. we already have a ranking system based solely on records..... its call the NFL standings...
  21. because they are power rankings. not standings.... if they just wanna list them in order of record it makes no sense to do a power ranking. at that point they could just keep the "standings" column and have no need for an opinion based power ranking. having an opinion based ranking poll like these rankings allows for people to add context to the situation that have to do with teams beaten, injuries, how they played or how they won.
