  1. Why is the black guy the only one still at the prison without bond?…
  2. I’d honestly rather move AJE over anyone else, purely due to his contract status with only one year left in his rookie deal. Maybe he’s shown a lot in practice.. he just seems to disappear in preseason games, which was an issue last year despite decent sack numbers. We head into next year without any money as it stands, a bunch of guys on one year / last year of deals, and on the DL, only 3 guys under contract if we trade Basham.
  3. It’s pretty well known that Vivek is a Trump plant. He’s running to slice into DeSantis ability to dominate the the group of former Trump voters who now want an alternative. Which is a pretty large group primary-wise, that includes myself. In a head to head, DeSantis, according to the newest Iowa poll today, is 3% behind Trump. In NH, Sununu is likely going to endorse DeSantis at some point. Problem is.. of course, as of now and the foreseeable future, this is not a head to head.
  4. I certainly wouldn’t extrapolate this to Trump coming anywhere close to winning the black vote, but this video is … interesting.
  5. Not sure the debate moves the needle in a monumentally notable way, but now that the polling has settled from it.. DeSantis has the highest favorables in the race now. He may not have had a “breakthrough moment” but he clearly helped himself in the eyes of primary voters. Trump’s favorables dropped due to not debating, but who knows how the Atlanta stuff factors in now. Haley helped herself the most. Went from a candidate on the periphery to someone justifying their spot moving forward, as of now, with Trump, DeSantis and Vivek. Vivek had the most interesting reaction to the debate. Trump supporters love him, but he’s never going to win them, nor is he trying to (or trying to be President for that matter). He did do what he set out to do … Splinter the vote from those who like Trump but want to go in another direction. That needs to be DeSantis wheelhouse, but Vivek is in the race to take some of that group .. and he’s doing so currently by being received well by that group, especially after the debate. That being said.. his favorability dropped noticeably amongst R voters in general.
  6. Trump flipped the mugshot. He posted it himself on Twitter, 1.2M likes as of now … has made it iconic. Rappers, Barstool, influential social media accounts all hyping the pic while calling him an “OG” or saying “Free Trump”. The left wanted to laugh at him over it and he owned it. I may be of the mindset that he’s horrible for the Republican Party and one of the few candidates that could actually lose to Biden, but I’m glad he’s taken this moment of joy from them.
  7. I can’t even hate … this guy is unstoppable when it comes to taking up all the oxygen in the room. Republican Debate last night. Gets people talking about candidates not named Trump. (Next Day) -Arrested. -Back on Twitter. -Posts his own mug shot. It’s never before seen nonstop chaotic energy.
  8. 538 breakdown of post-debate polling..
  9. What am I missing when people talk about the Dolphins and Jets roster, specifically in comparison to ours? They are talented, yes, but Top 5 (sans QB) rosters in the NFL? We have OL questions, but given the interior of our line, I'd take ours over either of theirs. Bills WR room is better than the Jets room and behind the Dolphins. Bills have one of the best TE rooms in the NFL. RB's... pretty equal across the board unless Hall comes back without missing a beat, in which case I'd give it to the Jets. DL's.. All 3 have top tier Defensive Lines. I'll give the Jets the edge over us in terms of LB and CB, but not the Dolphins (minus Ramsey) and even though they’re older, Hyde and Poyer match up with any Safety duo in the league.
  10. Yea.. I think this very well may be the last year here for Hyde, Poyer and Morse. Then we have a lot of guys on the last year of their deal / one year deal in Gabe, Floyd, Poona, Daquan, Phillips, Settle, AJE, Rapp, Jackson.. On top of that, I think something has to be done with the contracts of Taron Johnson, Tre White and Dion Dawkins. With White and Dawkins, depending on their play this year, I could see them being off the roster in '24 or being extended. The core is still there going into next year with Josh, Diggs, Knox, Kincaid, Torrence, Cook, Von, Rousseau, Oliver and Milano, but yea .. I foresee an interesting off-season whether we win the Super Bowl or not. Which is why Beane has stockpiled picks and I think we will likely re-sign some guys and have some one year value FA's that come here just like last year.
  11. I’m really not sure why the GOP can’t just repackage Nikki Haley’s answer on this and neutralize the issue. It’s a states rights debate. South Carolina, Georgia, Florida all have heartbeat bans because the citizens of those states are either in support of/or, at least, ok with it. Cali & NY, the opposite. This was the point of overturning Roe. Now, if you’re pro-life, it’s about winning the debate locally in those blue states. The only issues Dems have going for them are abortion and Trump… and the GOP base is determined to give them both.
  12. Vivek was clearly the most polarizing person on stage last night. Just watched a Fox & Friends panel where every single person loved him. Flipped to Twitter and anyone non-MAGA thought he was annoying and fake.
  13. Every candidate is forced to lie and say “the voters are smart” … No, no they are not.
  14. Agreed .. but GOP will lose every election when they run 1 ad to every 50 DNC ads that are funded by dark money & big banks.
  15. I’m so over this constant nonsense from Trump’s team…
  16. Well that’s a different question .. and I hope not, but certainly am worried it will play out that way.
  17. The only MAGA candidate on this stage is Vivek. You just want Mitt Romney clones.
  18. DeSantis has separated himself in this debate. Christie had some zingers but he’s not a serious candidate. Vivek started strong but he’s gotten progressively more obnoxious ever since the Christie attack. I think that shook him. Haley was strong on abortion, everything else is just establishment rhetoric that doesn’t resonate with the base anymore. Pence has done better than I thought he would, but has the same Haley problem. Tim Scott is a nice guy. DeSantis has had a strong response to every question. Responses that show why he won so many independents and moderate democrats in Florida. Someone in his ear must have told him to stop smiling after he talks and just look down at his papers.
  19. Vivek is definitely taking the anti-war lane in regards to Ukraine. As much as any candidate possibly can. DeSantis is striking the acceptable mix in American politics. Neocon Haley almost exploded during this discourse.
  20. Perhaps you haven’t noticed what state has had the biggest influx of residents in recent years.. It’s not due to his stance on Disney.
  21. DeSantis stopped the weird smiling and he’s killing it now… GREAT answer on the Pence bs. Yea, he did the right thing, enough with it. Move on.
  22. “I’m not running for President of MSNBC, I’m running to be Trump’s Vice President” - Vivek (fixed it for him)
