  1. Who don't they need? It seems anytime we have a discussion about anyone on the defense, people chime in saying they are necessary for the unit to function. For the past few years Hyde & Poyer were necessary. Now it's Milano and Johnson. People are afraid to cut or trade Douglas. Not going at you specifically, it just seems like fans/podcast guys and maybe even the FO depends far too much on aging vets on larger salaries. To stay competitive, we're going to need more Edmunds to Bernard stories and less restructures/extensions.
  2. Thomas or Mitchell. Both are WR2 out the gate that have WR1 traits down the line. If we go Worthy or Franklin at any point, I think we need to double up at WR early.
  3. Something has to give. We can't keep investing in DL, but also be told that we need stud linebackers, but oh we also need stud corners, and we need Taron Johnson... oh, and Safeties are really important in McDermott's Defense. Meanwhile we have huge contracts for Von and Oliver, have to weigh giving another one to Rousseau, are paying MIlano and Johnson, have 10M tied up in Douglas.. 6M in Poyer. Dead weight big money until proven otherwise in Tre White. This all before any moves we make in FA.
  4. Offense will be better on paper. We return 10/11 starters plus depth along the OL and will likely make, at least, one big addition to replace him via FA or more likely the Draft. Defense will likely be a mixed bag. Dependent upon guys returning from injury (Von, Tre, Milano). We really need Von to be at least 80% next year. I'd like to see them tear it down a bit on this side of the ball, but would be surprised to see them do anything with Tre, Douglas and/or Poyer.
  5. Re-sign Daquan Jones as long as it’s somewhat team friendly. Outside of that, don’t really want anyone that isn’t coming back on a minimum deal…. Rapp, Edwards, Ty Johnson, Shaq … id welcome them all back at vet minimums. Would at least provide a baseline on Defense going into the Draft that isn’t making any position a five alarm fire. Id also cut/trade Douglas. Time for the youth movement. Can’t have money tied up in all these older vets. They drafted Elam for a reason, and it’s time for him to get a real shot at the position.
  6. Draft a QB and spend most of it on OL and weapons so you can make sure no stone has been unturned in trying to develop whoever they take.
  7. I think McConkey could be an absolute monster, but he’s tough to get a read on because he clearly possesses outside WR ability but has been hit with the slot narrative.
  8. Shakir has the potential to be this window’s Cole Beasley - albeit a different type of player (with some Deebo-lite RAC ability). Whether the lives up to that, we’ll see. Can be used outside in certain sets but should not be viewed as a high snap percentage outside WR. Given Diggs could see increased snaps in the slot this year (along with Kincaid), the Bills should heavily focus on making sure FA/Draft nets them two legitimate outside WR’s.
  9. If Trump wins, you have to wonder if Justice Thomas might step down during his Presidency. If Biden wins, he holds out until 2028 to see if someone like DeSantis, Youngkin, Haley becomes President at the very least.
  10. 100% accurate The open border is class warfare on the middle class
  11. Trump’s biggest issue is his narcissistic obsession to crap all over vote-by-mail. Also - In states like Georgia and Arizona, he’s struggled with the “RINO” vote. Problem is, those are reliable voters. The voters he’s brought in are low propensity voters who never really voted until Trump came onto the scene. They don’t show up in special elections and midterms. It’s a huge issue for Republicans nationally and locally - See, Long Island where R’s waited to day of to vote in their special election only to have a big snow storm. Kari Lake running in Arizona where she has a mortal enemy in John McCain’s daughter. It’s all so haphazard and ridiculous. Abortion might get one more bite at the apple as a mass motivating issue this fall, but if Trump does come out at 15 weeks, it takes a lot of steam out of that issue. The pro-choice single issue voters and ultra-liberal unmarried women will obviously be motivated to vote, but 15 weeks is aimed at the suburban voters who aren’t entirely comfortable with what’s occurred since Roe was overturned. Trump was never winning the first group.. he can certainly win back the second group.
  12. Trump will likely come out at a 15 week abortion ban, according to folks around him. This is 16 weeks, in recent polling last month from YouGov *of note, women support this by 8 points and the biggest age demo supporters of this are Gen Z **in a subsequent poll the week after, the numbers flipped to 41% support / 44% oppose - nothing occurred to change that, so likely just showing how torn America is on this issue ***I won’t underestimate how much this issue can play, as it seems both Trump & Biden will look to make this a Federal issue, but it doesn’t seem that a 15 week ban has the energy Dems hope for, and in quite a bit of polling, it shows the advantage flip to R’s
  13. Its honestly surreal to see what’s happening in New York lately.
  14. Reporting on the combine seems stressful..
  15. How dare LoTT direct attention towards this school for their wholesome fundraiser….
  16. I’m pretty sure the attorney representing Fani Willis is going to pass out. I don’t know what bearing this will have on the judges decision but my goodness.. this is tough to watch.
  17. Could have had this guy as our next President, but MAGA gonna MAGA…
  18. Fani Willis in the court room as the state makes their closing argument. Defense just blistered them for the past 90 minutes. And there’s this… Judge is likely unaware of this as Megyn Kelly just received this.
  19. After the McDuffie/Elam draft, I’m completely fine with them going BPA at a position of need. I hope it’s WR, but if we have a similar run on the position like last year before we can get in a position to take one, I’m not going to freak out. I do have to admit however, im starting to wonder about how important EDGE is when the officiating very clearly allows more holding in the playoffs. Powerful DT’s can disrupt even when held by collapsing the pocket up the middle. Just a concern I’m beginning to have about positional importance if we take a guy like Chop Robinson at 28.
  20. Elon opening up Twitter/X might end up being the most influential socio-political decision of our lifetimes. Still too many people allow MSM to cultivate their beliefs, but as younger generations turn to X/Independent Journalism, the sway corporate owned/pharma controlled news media has on the public will dramatically subside.
  21. Is there some reason why the New York Attorney General is attacking a bakery in Colorado? The Community Note is ::chefs kiss::
  22. I have no idea. Both Trump and Biden are apparently going to aim to federalize or maybe make a national law as a starting point. The entire premise of overthrow Roe v Wade was to send it to the states. “Do women vote in the South?” This is where media/Dem manipulation plays in… Look at polling on this issue broken down between male and female. Men & Women are typically within a few points of each other on the issue itself, and - more importantly - when it should be legal/illegal. So women do vote in the South ha.. but alot of women down here are conservative and/or married, which typically lends itself to voting more along pro-life lines. Given the Democrats entire base now seems to be unmarried women, this issue can generate higher turnout in other parts of the country .. but the South is not abortion-obsessed. More people are religious and while they may be pro-choice, they can stomach crossing over to vote for a Brian Kemp or Ron DeSantis, Henry McMaster etc., because they prioritize other issues higher. In summary, yes women in the South vote. But the Dems heavy edge on unmarried women narrows down here where more are conservative and/or religious plus a higher amount of politically active married women.
  23. Libs gonna rant about an outlier state like Alabama nonstop. It’s no more extreme that the abortion laws in deep blue states where there’s barely any protection for babies at any point during the pregnancy. The reality is, sounds like Trump may push for a 15 week abortion ban.. which is right around where polling flips from Dem favorability to Republican favorability. When it comes down to this issue.. where Trump v Biden stand is where it will go, not Cali anytime abortion vs Alabama IVF nonsense.
