  1. With McDermott, I think people see Chinn’s untapped potential and just assume it will be realized here. Can’t lie .. I would think this as well. Didn’t they target McGovern immediately last year? I usually agree the first wave is overpays, but it seemed the Bills targeted him from jump and locked him down to a reasonable contract pretty quickly.
  2. If the Bills view Shakir as their starting outside WR opposite Diggs, they deserve all the smoke they get when that shows to be a struggle. Shakir is a very promising slot receiver with some outside flex. He is NOT a primary outside WR.
  3. Agree, especially in a draft as loaded as this one at the position. Assuming the extend Dawkins & Brown, the Offense is set for the short & long term. Adding two quality rookie WR’s to go with Kincaid in his second year could lock in this Offense around Josh Allen for a long time. People can worry about the Defense if we double dip at WR, but the Safety and DT FA market could not be set up any better for what we need this off-season. EDGE is a worry, but it’s not like anyone ever gets pressure during the Playoffs anyway. Just get some big bodies to push the pocket back and let what might be a Top 2 LB tandem in the NFL get to work.
  4. I said he’s part of the problem. Those three big contracts.. none of them being what we paid them to be, which is elite at their position.
  5. Our cap is ok given the moves we’ve now made. Beane’s drafting in recent years will help lessen the blow. Now he just needs to nail this upcoming one. The Diggs, Von & Tre contracts are tough.. because all of them have big cap hits and none of them played as we expected them to last year: Diggs as an elite WR1, Von as an elite pass rusher and Tre as a lockdown corner. Then you add in all the money & picks constantly spent on DL and a guy like Knox, who is just a weird situation now given the Kincaid pick.. and that’s how we got here. Again, not in a bad position, but a slightly uncomfortable one with a day like Wednesday & another, likely, non-splashy FA period being necessary.
  6. Sign: Jeremy Chinn Trade: Courtland Sutton I think it’s very likely the Bills spend what money they have on WR & S, while waiting it out on the DL musical chairs.
  7. Reading this is so weird.
  8. Allen, Diggs, Von, Tre contracts + way too much being spent on above average vets/rotational DL. The Defense will look fine when they bring in another above average Safety vet or two to go with Rapp. Couldn’t ask for a better year to one… or two. We’re good at LB and CB.. just need a couple Day 3 draft picks to develop as depth. OL looks pretty good. TE is set. Can take a day 3 RB and sign a cheap vet. DL and WR need high level investment. We can likely afford one pass rusher or wide receiver. Going to need to lean on the draft heavy for whichever of those position groups we don’t spend a moderately splashy contract on.
  9. I still can’t get over the fact a pro-Hamas protest stopped the Presidential motorcade and delayed the SOTU. No arrests. Biden gets heckled by a gold star father who lost his son at Abbey Gate. A son that Biden has never mentioned. Arrested and charged.
  10. Given the idea we were likely going to trade around the board, this decision by the NFL basically takes away a draft pick from us. It’s going to take two early day 3 picks to even get back to the arbitrary draft pick value they decided, for whatever reason, to not give us.
  11. This makes me a bit more hesitant to trade up in RD1. I think I might reach out to Denver with that RD4 pick and see if we can get a deal for Sutton done.
  12. Yikes. Bad look for us to be operating under the assumption of a 3rd. Beane better start developing some minority coaches if we ever want to play the comp pick game apparently. Can’t wait to have our DC & OC both hired in the next few years for nothing.
  13. Yea.. those flimsy masks that the public were wearing. So necessary. You’re talking about single use fitted N95 masks that were never a credible solution for the general public. We were told vaccines were 100% safe, effective and stopped transmission. That’s a lie. Again, for some people, the vax made sense. Not for all.. and it’s insane that this had to be debated. You’re seriously arguing lockdown effectiveness in the Year 2024?… after all we now know? Because, of course you are …. Cowardice.
  14. Im not even anti-vax. It made sense for some people. Not all. Locking down & Masking, whatever. For the first month or so, we didn’t know what we were dealing with. It then became very apparent to a lot of us that more harm was being done than good. Yet y’all kept pushing for it. Demanding it. Hurting everyone around you because of your own fear. Keeping kids out of school because adults were scared. Forcing vaccines on people who didn’t need it because adults were scared. Forcing masks on children in their formative years because adults were scared. Keeping businesses locked down because adults were scared. All after it became apparent that masks don’t work, lockdowns were harmful and the vaccine did not work as sold to us. ….and when the next emergency comes about, y’all will react the same way. Because it’s in your nature. It’s who you are. It’s weakness. And your political party depends on that weakness.
  15. The father of the vaccines can catch all this smoke too … but at least he slowed down the initial wave by blocking travel from countries that your side cried xenophobia over.
  16. Half of my family is also in medicine. How did I spend the pandemic? Keeping my employees employed - luckily in a red state now. Hearing how hospitals were issuing Orwellian directives to doctors and np’s over how they were allowed to discuss covid treatment with patients. Watching my niece and nephew get kept out of school in their formative years - until Brian Kemp gave them the opportunity so many children in blue states lost. Watching my brother, a healthy man in his mid 30’s, he forced to lose his income stream or get vaxxed due to Biden federal mandate. Then see him end up in the hospital with heart issues days after he gave in to the mandate. Watched friends back in NY lose their livelihoods, lose their business, lose their careers due to a blue state that refused to let up on its authoritarian instincts to help their citizens. No mention from the CDC about exercising, eating healthy, taking vitamins C, D and Zinc. We were offered donuts and fast food coupons for vaccines and forced to live sedentary lives amidst a virus that preys on those who live that lifestyle. We now have record distrust in those who practice your profession. Record distrust in the institutions meant to protect us from disease. But I’m sure that’s an “us” problem .. not a “you” problem. You’re in medicine? Yet double down on the actions we witnessed during that time period? No remorse? Shameful.
  17. Feeling is mutual. The country is well beyond any attempt to heal. Just don’t ask us to get over how cowardly and authoritative you acted during the pandemic.
  18. This is going to be so exhausting. Biden is an angry, divisive old man being run by a hateful apparatus that knows their only chance of winning is to turn their half of the country against the other half of the country and pump the get-out-the-vote machine. They can’t do that based on anything this Administration has done, so it will be all about stoking fear and division. On the other side, we have an immature narcissist who isn’t at all serious about winning. He says he is. And maybe he means it. But he’s too busy litigating 2020, taking credit for the vaccines and trolling people on his stupid app that nobody uses to put forth any coherent vision of what he would do to fix this country. Meanwhile, we have Supreme Court Justices being threatened by the President, pro-Hamas protesters blocking motorcades, a gold star father being arrested, leftist congresswomen wearing keffiyehs and right wing congress dressed as clowns. The SOTU last night represents America right now. A divided, angry circus.
  19. I also think I might be more willing to sign Tua long term if I was Miami, but in the NFC. The level of QB play is far inferior and just have to avoid going to Lambeau during the Playoffs so your warm weather QB doesn’t freeze.
  20. I hear ya, but have to admit that any move we make.. my sole focus is “how does this set us up against KC?” No matter what the other AFCE teams do, we’ve been able to win the East. We have two other main contenders in Baltimore and Cincinnati. One we typically beat, the other we struggle against. But nothing else matters until we can get out of the AFC.. and for Buffalo, Cinci, Baltimore.. every move is made with an eye on the Chiefs. It is what it is.
  21. Pro-Hamas protesters block the Presidential motorcade. No biggie. Dad who’s son was indirectly killed by our POS President. ARREST HIM. I f**king loathe everything about this projection administration.. crying about Trump when they are all they warn us of. Disgraceful.
