I don't care about the regular season match-ups anymore. Post-season.. Kelce makes plays. Diggs does not. Jones makes plays. Bills Defense.. anyone? When Hill was there, he made big plays in big moments. Snead, maybe he gets traded, but he locks up our best weapon every time. What pass rusher (if you have inside info, i'm asking rhetorically and don't expect you to say)? Because I keep watching guys like Bosa get held when they play the Chiefs, so is this guy impervious to being held? Where was Myles Garrett against Houston? Playoffs are officiated differently.

Definitely agree. If there is anywhere we should spend low and bet on traits, it's Safety. I have zero interest in a legitimate money contract at that position.. In fact, I could easily be convinced to roll with Rapp, Lewis and some draft picks if that means we do something, anything of substance for Josh Allen and the Offense.

I think it's frustrating that we've been in this situation for multiple years, but given we have been.. At the very least, they need a vet WR with some size and a high draft pick. Even that is whatever.. Say it's Josh Reynolds and a pick at/around 28. We're banking on Year 2 Kincaid and a Rookie. Shakir is a nice slot piece and Diggs, who knows.. and that's literally all we have right now. Asking a lot of a rookie likely not named Harrison, Odunze, Nabers or maybe even Thomas. If I was Beane, I'm on the phone with SF-Aiyuk, CIN-Higgins, MIN-Jefferson etc., and maybe none of that is possible, but we desperately need more elite players on this team. It shows up EVERY time we play KC in the Playoffs.

I'm hopeful they do. We shall see.

So.... everyone wants a Safety, some more Defense...meanwhile all we've done on Offense is trade Bates, cut Morse and let Gabe walk. Alright then. But hey, maybe we'll get Josh a tier 2 rookie WR to try and take down the Chiefs with in the mid-late 20's.

DT’s age well and Jones was a monster before the torn pec. Unfortunately he, along with almost everyone else on our defense played severely injured or missed the KC game. For me, I like the cuts and tough decisions. I’m fine with re-upping Jones, AJ, Rapp, Lewis, Edwards on what all seem to be modest to fair deals (relatively speaking). Im now waiting to see what’s done at WR. If they make an outside the box move and drastically improve WR… I like going young with Rapp/AJ and see Jones as a guy to pair with Oliver while (likely) draft picks at DT earn more snaps over these next 2 years. If we do nothing on Offense but draft a 2nd tier WR and then double dip on Day 3… Seems a lot like “Hey Josh carry us undermanned into battle against Mahomes when it matters.. again” And maybe it just is what it is. We’ll see.

Did Cover1 just break this news over everyone? Impressive. Im guessing Jones gave them the heads up before posting himself a few minutes later?

Liberal white women will watch videos of cannibal voodoo gangs from Haiti and straight face tell you we should import them to America.

Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)
SCBills replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
“Since 2016..” That’s why. I have zero desire to have money and/or 30+ dudes at Safety. Not when we have 1 DT and absolute nonsense at WR currently. -

Douglas has one year left on his deal, during which I guarantee you the FO is hoping Elam figures it out under new coaching. I’m so glad they signed AJ for less and let Floyd walk. AJ flashes but is inconsistent. If it ever clicks for him, he’ll be a problem. Floyd was great for the first half is the season.. was nonexistent down the stretch. So far, i think they finally get it.. that “running it back” ran its course and a shakeup is needed. However, if we pay Justin Simmons legit money… yea, I wouldn’t understand that. -
How do the team's moves so far impact the Bill's draft needs?
SCBills replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our WR room is absolutely hilarious right now and we have one DT. Those two positions are sirens blaring attention needed. -

When people ask me why I’ve become a conspiracy theorist..
-
Numbers may confirm or change my opinion, but I’m glad we’re staying young and not spending heavy on an aging pass rusher. Von, Rousseau, AJE, KJ is a room we can roll with if we spend/draft elsewhere.

The talk on WGR has shifted heavily to big trade based on Sal bringing it up earlier. I don’t think it’s based on anything other than vibes, lack of WR2, aggressive clearing of cap space and Beane’s tendencies.. but I think the need for elite pieces vs solid depth is gaining some traction.. at least in terms of a growing sense of what the Bills may be missing as we keep coming up short.

Giants sign Devon Singletary to 3 year, $16.5M deal
SCBills replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m sure Giants fans are being super rational about losing Barkley and signing another ex-Bill. -
Agree with all the cuts. Impressed with the renegotiations. Fine with the Dawkins extension. Cam Lewis/Taylor Rapp, indifferent. Think we need to find a way to get another elite player here, but see that both unlikely to happen due to other teams making that available and/or us sacrificing depth/rotations to actually do it.

I like Joe Marino a lot, but I hate his roster construction views. Unfortunately he's pretty accurate in how we seem to approach roster building. It's good if you want a strong team that makes the playoffs and is a contender each year. Aside from the Von move that blew up in our face, it's too reliant on good-not great players and depth vs trusting draft picks & UDFA's to have more high end guys. It's VERY clear we need more high end guys.

Honestly, perfect landing spot. Lawrence throws deep a lot.

Congrats to Gabe.. good dude. That said.. I laughed…
