Cover 1's Top Free Agent Fits for the Bills
SCBills replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, I’d move Diggs for a 1 in a second given the cap lifeline provided that could help us eat the accelerated dead cap. I just don’t think the Bills will do that. But if a team with a young QB who wants to give them a proven high level WR instead of gambling on a draft pick wants to call up Beane with an offer, I’d love to hear the inner FO discussions on that. -

Let Gabe & Sherfield walk / cut Harty If we are to hand out one legitimate FA contract (outside Jones and/or Epenesa), it should be for a vet outside WR. Head into the draft with Diggs, Shakir, FA, Shorter. Shakir is the slot and we’d be smart to plan on using Diggs more in the slot as well. Kincaid & Cook will also play some slot. Draft two outside WR’s.. One in RD1 or RD2 and one early Day 3. -
Manchin might not.. but a ticket of Haley/Manchin will. I think it hurts Trump more, but I don’t think it’s the slam dunk you believe it to be. If Haley is the lead on the ticket, she represents the potential first female President. That will be appealing to a lot of moderate Democrats. RFK will play a part in this as well. For instance.. I know Georgia politics pretty well. It’s still a lean R state, but it has a huge division between moderate Republicans in/around Atlanta and MAGA throughout the rest of the state. Biden won Georgia because he turned out the black vote and won moderate white suburban voters in Buckhead and the Atlanta suburbs. If those voters vote No Labels for Nikki Haley, there’s more MAGA voters throughout the state than there is reliable black vote. That being said.. if Trump has to worry about Georgia in this environment, he’s not winning. Im not sure how Haley, RFK affect PA, WI, AZ, MI etc

Her speech 100% sounded like a third party run is on the table. I have no idea how a Haley/Manchin or vice-versa would tilt this election. Factoring in RFK as well. Haley probably appeals to more Republicans than Manchin to Dems, but Haley might also appeal to some Dems… especially if she’s the lead on the ticket. Trump is more toxic, but has a rock solid base compared to Biden. First female President or an unpopular old man (either way)

Chinese spy balloon over Montana?

The OL was a legit rebuild. Their DL revolves around Chris Jones. It’s easy to have guys like Omenihu and Karlaftis look good with the best DT in the league in the middle. Rousseau and Epenesa would dominate off the edge with Chris Jones.

It just seems like more of a luxury when our QB is philosophically opposed to throwing to TE’s unless it’s a seam route or in the red zone. If we weren’t up against the cap, I don’t mind it at all.. but I’d much rather have Kincaid/Morris and then Knox money towards a legit WR3/4. Maybe it works out better this year. I do think Knox is a good TE.

This. The damage done by the medical community during covid will take generations to repair. Factor in the news this week with studies is mainstream media actually admitting the vaccines do increase risks of heart issues and blood clots, and it’s going to take a while to get people on a large scale to trust the same people demanding they force compliance for something they swore was safe and effective.

America First is now Russia First
SCBills replied to BillStime's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
America First is reigning in spending to slow down inflation and using the fiscal budget to help Americans. I don’t envy the Democrat Ops tasked with turning out the black vote when their party has told low income communities and inner cities that illegal immigrants and Ukrainians are more important than them. -
The next Vice President of the United States? 🤔
SCBills replied to JaCrispy's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Personally, I like Tulsi. I think she’d be a great choice for VP. Vivek would be a psychotic choice. Trump needs someone to offset the crazy, not amplify it. Kristi Noem is a safe bet, but I think Tulsi does the same for Trump plus more. Tim Scott is a nice guy but comes across as a complete joke when he’s around Trump. Donalds would be interesting.. not sure what I’d make of that. Risky, but does have positives. As far as DeSantis goes.. im so glad he shot down his name being floated immediately. I don’t want him anywhere near Trump. -
This is where I feel like I’m missing something when people talk about future cap. Diggs, Von and Knox are all contracts we can get out of with relative ease after this upcoming season. White is in a similar boat this year. If we draft a Safety this year, we might be doing it again next year to replace Poyer. Morse is always a year to year thing it seems. We have to replace those guys, but it’s not like Von & White have been able to help us much anyway. Knox & Diggs need a redemption season or they’ll fall into the same category as well.

You can tell the self loathing white libs have nothing to say on this topic anymore, given all they do is pop in and post clips of Trump for whatever reason.

Welp… Biden might as well not even campaign in Georgia. Was waiting to see when this person came here. -

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. People down here in Georgia are absolutely furious. -
Dolphins are just releasing overpaid dead weight. Eating some dead cap, but everyone saw these moves coming.

Yup. This is why Allen catches criticism for throwing to a guy he knew would be open for the TD pre-snap. It’s an insane standard to hold him to. And honestly, it’s probably the biggest indictment of this organization around him if one play could be a microcosm of why we haven’t won it all with him yet. But it is what it is, and given game flow, it just felt inevitable that we were going to drain the clock and Allen wills us to a go ahead TD with 30 seconds left and KC out of timeouts … until it wasn’t.
-
Yup.. I don’t expect anything major based off this news but McGovern and Floyd were huge signings based on their play. Let’s just hope any Harty/Sherfield type deals play out better for us this off-season.
-
Also, people think everyone has the same roster construction. Team A could have a ton of their own players under contract and be 30M over and it’s doom and gloom while Team B has a ton of big FA’s but is 30M under and it’s all rainbows and sunshine for the fanbase. I get it for the fanbase in terms of the excitement for Free Agency as an event, but… Bills have: Allen, Diggs, Cook, Kincaid, Knox, Shakir and the entire OL under contract. Von, Rousseau, Oliver, Milano, Bernard, Johnson, Douglas, Benford, Poyer all under contract. Is there work to be done? Of course, but for us FA should really be about value-friendly depth/rotational pieces. Big game hunting and big game re-signing for that matter, aren’t needed, provided Beane hits on this draft - which was always going to be the primary focus of this off-season.
-
They know the answers to those questions, but reject them. Not all Democrats, but the leftists who are increasingly controlling that party, want to tear down the current system and replace it. It’s the Western version of Mao’s Cultural Revolution. So they will answer those questions if they’re being truthful, and then tell you they want to replace every last one of the power structures that were in place during our founding.
-
The downside is that this obviously provides more cap to a team like KC, who’s already done a great job staying on the good side of it. Also a team like CIN, with all their upcoming deals, but the bigger issue for them has always been their owners liquidity and/or willingness to cut huge checks to multiple players. The upside for us is massive. KC was always going to be good. Whatever. It is what it is. For the Bills, I’m not sure how much this changes our plans - perhaps this allows for Jones & Epenesa to both come back if terms are favorable - but in the long run, it helps save us from having a big “take your medicine” year with the Allen contract in his prime. Beane has some breathing room with the financials, along with big contracts for guys like Von, Diggs and Knox that we can look at getting out of after this upcoming season (if necessary).

It’s not about anyone being worried that Araiza will be some major weapon that helps the Chiefs to keep winning Super Bowls. It’s that we used a draft pick on a punter. That’s always a big deal. We have many of our own fans and local media members to thank for the injustice he faced. We then cut him due to that self-righteous mob. Pay real money for a punter. And now KC, who is already in far better cap shape than we are, gets to save a few million by signing the guy we drafted (for a reason) on the cheap. And we can keep paying real money for a punter, or waste yet another draft pick/UDFA signing on one… one who surely doesn’t have the potential of Araiza.

I’m sure there’s nothing to see here.. Fwiw, I don’t even care that much about Hunter Biden. He used his dads power to make money for himself and others. I’m sure lots of politicians family members enrich themselves that way. …but to the extent they want to suppress this story, they’re now making me care.
