  1. Calvin Ridley right at #12 IF (if if if!) the top 3 QBs are gone. Makes too much sense with Daboll and McCarron.
  2. Credit to him for coming back this far, I wish him the best. There was a legit chance that he was going to die in a fiery car crash or something awful just a couple of years ago.
  3. Not a big deal at all for a team that actually has wide receivers. This is a relatively significant deal for us considering our WRs currently consist of one dude with bad knees who can't gain separation, and another who can't catch and who might be dealing with the onset of a serious mental illness... Our WR situation is dismal. Like, we don't even have an AJ McCarron equivalent right now at that position. I've been banging the drum for Calvin Ridley at #12 if we can't get one of the top-3 QBs and it doesn't seem crazy at all with some of the developments this week.
  4. Alright, he falls apart quite a bit toward the end there haha but he still doesn't come seem like a complete dummy at any point
  5. Was half expecting a trainwreck from that one poster's comment but he's really not a bad speaker at all, he's just Southern. He actually seems relatively bright and genuine.
  6. With no criminal charges I'm not sure if that will be the case, especially if he pisses clean. Outside of removing himself for treatment if he is dealing with real mental issues, then this could ultimately just be a very embarrassing non-issue.
  7. You're a conspiracy theorist that claims our front office is racist. Nobody should listen to you about anything.
  8. This is fantastic. One guy even called PCP "THC". Apparently everybody and their mother also knows exactly what synthetic marijuana will do to you because they once read a story about another guy one time...
  9. Considering he attempted to jump out of a 30th floor window he may already be on it.
  10. Yikes. Ridley becomes more of a possibility every day.
  11. I know we're supposed to believe that the Pats can turn anybody into an All-Pro, but I haven't been impressed by a single move that they've made this offseason. They're getting some flawed, painfully average players right now. Jeremy Hill and Cordarrelle Patterson? Breshad Perriman gonna join them next?
  12. I don't disagree, it just may not be so much about mortgaging the future as it is saving your ass with an offensive weapon for McCarron / Peterman / whatever QB you can get in round 2 if they miss out on the top 4, which seems likely.
  13. I think we're all going to have to learn to like McCarron quick. And the Daboll/Ridley connection can't be ignored. I think we're going to sit right there at 12 and take him, providing McCarron with a shiny new toy from the same program.
  14. If this front office has confidence in McCarron then I can actually see Ridley being the first pick. There's a need, he just played with Daboll and the offense would have a big Alabama connection in general, we wouldn't have to give up picks, etc. Makes too much sense.
  15. Calvin Ridley is going to become everybody's favorite Buffalo Bill.
  16. I wouldn't go so far as to say that the Pats are swinging and missing with a lot of their moves dating back to last offseason, but none of them have been all that impressive. Gillislee was definitely a flop. Interesting to hear all the speculation about players simply not enjoying being there.
  17. She likes it. I don't but I'm an old bald dude who regularly wears Bills sweatpants, what the hell do I know.
  18. He can't catch though, right? Wasn't that the knock on him. He's slow too. I'm not quite sure how they're going to use him, he's not really a bruiser either. He's just kind of an all around below average back right now. I'd much rather have Ivory - an equally boring back at this point - for the character and veteran leadership alone. Corey Dillon was a horse who easily belongs in the tier just below the Hall of Fame. Jeremy Hill finished his fourth season 3rd on the depth chart. There's no comparison, I couldn't agree more.
  19. Meh, seems we're both moving the goal posts or maybe I'm too loose with my usage of WNY. I'm largely talking about Buffalo because we're talking about Buffalo media. Yes, I'm sure hamlets in Chautauqua county for example are probably conservative, Buffalo in general and therefore Buffalo sports media (the topic of this conversation, remember) slants left. This essentially just started off as a dig at the whiny claim that "all sports journalists are liberal!" as that's just not the case, and it's largely dependent on where that journalist calls homebase. I'm not terribly interested in arguing about the political breakdown of rural WNY, I'll take your word on that...
  20. I lived in WNY for 25 years, and then moved down south. It's liberal, trust me. I don't quite understand how simply pointing that out has anything to do with my understanding of politics?
  21. Or get Calvin Ridley. Really starting to think that may be a possibility.
  22. How about a cocky guy who has already gained notoriety for being drunk in public before ever playing an NFL game like Manziel?
