It's a 4th rounder. And the safety they got earlier was a major reach.

Bills 4th Round Pick : Deone Walker - DT - Kentucky
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don't have a lot of top-end talent in that unit, but I still think it's a pretty deep WR corps. With the TE's and RB's we have also, our offense will still be formidable. I still expect us to take someone, though. Shakir was a 5th rounder; you never know when it comes to WR's. -

Rapp & Hamlin are likely to be our backups. -

We might really have a championship defense this season. Really, the one thing that has held us back. -
I Like What Beane has done so far! (First 3 Picks)

Yeah - this is a good draft. I feel like the O will average close to 30 a game regardless. We need a top tier defense to get over the hump. -
I'm years away from losing any sleep about the Jets.

Bills 2nd Rnd pick in 2025 Draft : TJ Sanders - DT South Carolina
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that's kind of the same as questioning the pick yesterday, because Elam didn't work out. I just don't quite get the mindset on draft weekend from some fans. If a pick is a true reach or something, I'd kind of get it - or if a trade is wildly lopsided or unnecessary (i.e. the trade for Sammy Watkins). But this is a pick where the guy was picked around where people thought he'd go, and we got a pretty fair trade to get him. -

Why would I do that? Sounds like it takes some effort. I don't know anything - like everyone else here. I'd prefer to let things play out and criticize a pick after it turns out that they are worthy of criticism. Which isn't anytime before they play a down of professional football. -

I'm not sure slamming a pick before he even plays a down is a winning argument either. -

I wish it would be a good thing if I gained 10 pounds. -

I see a lot of praise for his intelligence & leadership. Definitely a pattern for this regime - which I don't mind. -

Scouts watch hundreds of hours of film, and spend every day of the years breathing this stuff. Most here look at some mocks a few weeks before the draft, and maybe catch some youtube clips.- 719 replies

Reasons? I thought DT was logical enough at this spot. -
Must be a guy Beane loves. I don't care if we gave up more than we should have if it's someone very good.

Too much hype for the Pats on this board. Maye was way overhyped last year, imo. He showed some real flashes - but there is a mile between than & being a consistent starter.

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky
Success replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gotta say - I feel pretty great about our secondary. A lot depends on Bishop right now, but it's a better unit than last year overall. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a safety in the next pick or 2 just for insurance. -

His entire reaction after the pick was made - from walking through that tunnel to the interview - was simply amazing to watch. It wasn't that long ago players didn't get that excited when getting picked by the Bills. Cool to see where we are now. -

Speed, a ball hawk and - while it's just one interview - it seems like he has a great attitude and will be a fun locker room presence. Feelin' good. -
We don't need a safety. I'm kind of relieved.

Gotta be the 1st time the phrase "rich man's Nick O'Leary" has been uttered....

I'm ready to support whoever they pick 100%. I watch college ball, but I don't know the players nearly as well as scouts who watch 100's of hours of film and breathe this stuff. I have no choice but to trust what they & the Bills braintrust go w/. -
This was EXACTLY my go-to as a kid. Haven't had it in decades. Would probably sub mustard for ketchup now (just like hot dogs, which I had ketchup w/ as a kid)

Gotta disagree on that. Particularly w/ this team. We give up a lot in the passing game in basically every playoff loss we've had. Revel is FAST - and can keep up w/ some of the speedy receivers we'll face in January & February. Not sure if we'll go that way, but it would be a good move, imo.
