  1. We could. We're a better team. They're better coached (though McD is solid). BB is going to have some curveballs next Monday. We have to play our game, not make too many mistakes, and get out to an early lead. Take that game, and we're back in the driver's seat, and it puts ALL the pressure squarely on the Patriots for the game at their place.
  2. Mac has been very average today (his stats look good, but that's all). If the Pats beat us, it's because BB is just that much better of a coach.
  3. Their D isn't as good as I thought - but they're opportunistic. They're really solid in all phases - but not spectacular in any phase. As usual, they don't beat themselves (as you said).
  4. It does seem like NE is one of the worst teams in the redzone, at least the past few weeks. Just one FG after another.
  5. I mean, we'll have to disagree on this. I want to win this division again. I don't want NE tied w/ us after today.
  6. Pats fans on twitter saying they should be up by a lot more if not for the officials. That's incomprehensible.
  7. Well, that changes the game.
  8. It is smart what the Pats do w/ the O-line - and they've done it for 2 decades. When you have a great or good QB, build that line. Give a good QB time, and he doesn't need great receivers. I love that we have Diggs - but as time goes on, I'd rather see the investment go more toward the line than the weapons.
  9. 20 years did a # on me. I have no problem admitting that. They tell me that admitting it is the 1st step to recovery. This TN game is deja vu all over again. Teams missing FG's, missing wide open plays, making mistakes. The officials doing their bit.
  10. I mean, what if we're really in for another 10-15 years of this? Kind of a nightmare.
  11. I don't know if Jones is as good as he looks - but teams like the Giants, Falcons & Saints could have prevented all of this on draft day.
  12. It really is a thing. The Pats always get the better end of the officiating.
  13. Quite a drive from TN if they can cash it in. NE only had 1 possession in the 1st quarter.
  14. It's going to be tough in the years ahead, as long as they have Belichick. It's kind of dampening my enthusiasm for football.
  15. It's a thing for Pats fans. They have had more than a few games w/ this kind of benefit. At least they realize it (except the few who post here, of course).
  16. Man, ACL's suck. Football history would probably be a lot different without 'em.
  17. Not THAT reassuring, for Pats fans. He's already one of the oldest HC's in history. If he does keep coaching, good. I want to see him throw more phones on the sideline.
  18. Great thing for one of my favorite Bills - I'm in. Get well soon, Tre! Looking forward to seeing you back on the field again.
  19. It makes sense when you consider that it's fairly well-known that BB doesn't want to leave the team in bad shape when he finally retires. He wants to set them up for success after he leaves. And he has also said that he doesn't want to coach too far into his 70's, like Levy. He spent like the typical offseason "winner" in FA, which he never does. He's all in this year.
  20. I mean, I really didn't mind EJ. He blew some coverages, but was more solid than most fill-in kinds of guys....
  21. The Pats aren't "rebuilding." BB probably will not coach much longer, and they're trying to win 1 more while he is still the coach. NE has one of the oldest teams in the league. Mac Jones looks good because he is incredibly well-coached. We'll have to see if he's still the franchise guy once he has to carry a team.
  22. I liked how Stevenson played - I know he muffed one, but overall, he made good cuts & seemed like a tough runner.
  23. Anyone concerned that we haven't signed anyone? I get that Jackson moves into the role now - but we're going to need better depth.
  24. The only thing I'd disagree w/ is TN. I don't think their game last week was a fluke. They are down their 2 top WR's and top RB, among many others. I don't think it will be too close tomorrow. Especially since it's in NE. In a way, maybe that's better. Let them roll until next Monday, if that's the way it plays out.
  25. It feels like a bit of a must-win. I just feel like if we can't beat them at home, what are the chances we beat them in NE? I know it doesn't work that way, especially w/ division games. But if we don't get the W, the pressure on that 2nd game is enormous. Getting swept would cost us the division for sure, and really cast doubt on our chances in the playoffs.
