Seattle's defense was 9th in defensive scoring in 2017. Followed by 13th, 19th, 16th and 12th. Herberts was 3rd worst last year at 27 points per game and then 23rd at 26.6 ppg. The Chargers defense has been terrible for Herbert, about average for Wilson. It's not just the 2 seasons, its the trajectory. I would say the vast majority of GM's would take Herbert over Wilson right now. Herbert is just now entering his prime....just like Allen and Burrow.

Stafford also has a Super Bowl ring and Burrow was very close...just an Aaron Donald sack away. I didn't see the full play but I heard Jamar Chase was separating downfield. Please don't take this I think Russ sucks, he's still a top 10 QB.

This isn’t Russell Wilson of his first seven years anymore. In those years, he was a top 3 QB. Since the second half of 2020, he has dropped. I still think he’s very good, a top 10 QB. Extended him at this salary until he’s 40….I’m skeptical it was a good move. Herbert is everything to the Chargers. I’m not holding the Chargers defense against him. Wilson when he beginning of his career had an elite defense…one of the best ever. Watson’s contract will hurt the Browns for years. This is the poorest run franchise in all of sports.

He's a good QB for sure but I don't think he's elite. Josh Allen Tom Brady Joe Burrow Jackson Mahomes Brother Justin Herbert Matt Stafford Aaron Rodgers Are above him IMO.

Just because he doesn't have a strong input on the draft doesn't mean he doesn't have strong input on who we keep. He's the one who works with these guys every day. We saw on Embedded where they have coaches meetings pretty frequently. McDermott/Beane is relying heavily on a position coach on how each player they are responsible for is doing. If I had to guess, Edmunds is the odd man out after this year. He's probably going to have a big pay day in FA and just too much for us to want to pay. Just a guess but I think it's Oliver and Knox they want to keep.

This is how I see it.

He averaged 4.6 ypc and 870 rushing yards last year. He had 7 games last year with single digit attempts. He was splitting reps with Moss early on and we had terrible run blocking ahead of him….he started getting the lions share in the last 4-5 games. I think this year he does it. He will get the majority share of the carries and I don’t see our run blocking being as bad this year.

I saw an NFL meme post last night about Lovie Smith. He went 17-39 at Illinois. Came back to the NFL to the the Texans Defensive Coordinator and finished 27th and 31st in points allowed. Now he's he Texans HC. He failed up!

For him it is. I hope he has a good career too. I don't wish ill will on any former Bills player except anyone that bashes the Bills lol. I don't see it with Hodgins though. He had a hard time separating against 3rd stringers. I don't see him getting clean releases on starting caliber corners in the NFL.
