Oh is it really known? A guy you never watched play or heard of is well known to you on his play?
-
Dawkins is not a small extension and that was 3 years ago. How is this a stop gap when he’s 25? Did you want Ben Powers just because of his PFF grade? From what I understand, he’s not very good. He benefited by Lamar being an incredible scrambler and runner. Of his 909 snaps he had last season, how many did you watch? He never watched him play. He just never heard of him.

Morse was signed an extension last year. Dawkins signed his extension in 2020. We invested a 3rd round pick in Brown which is where you generally want to get a good RT. Brown hasn’t been but its not like we avoided the position. Does it really matter if he wasn’t on any source of best FA?

Did our guards do their jobs last year? Did we have problems with skill players scoring? We made Mitch Morse one of the highest paid centers and Dion Dawkins a top paid LT. We have to improve on the OL but you're acting like none of the starting 5 get paid. You don't even know who McGovern is and you have somehow evaluated him.

You didn't even know this guy existed before today.

If you're at a bar, the women are most certainly looking at Sam Martin over you.

Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?

I was in my crawl space installing insulation this past weekend. I was getting closer to the corners and my foot disturbed a nest when I slipped on a loose dirt clump. I have plastic sheeting all down there so I couldn't see them scattering but I could feel the vibrations. I was frozen solid for about 3 minutes. -

The other Connor McGovern.

I thought it was well known since it took him 20 years to win a Super Bowl.
-
Not if it doesn't work at all. WTF were the Chiefs thinking?
-
Yep. Muy bad for them as well? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25472529/kelvin-benjamin-signing-kansas-city-chiefs Kelvin Benjamin, cut by Bills on Tuesday, signs with Chiefs

Star wasn't great but he wasn't absolutely terrible. We have seen the turnover on the DL, McDermott isn't afraid to get rid of anyone or sitting anyone who is a non-contributor. How much money and how many years did we re-sign Kelvin Benjamin for?
-
I'm willing to bet there are at least 100,000 people in this world with that name.
-
I'm not calling you out but how do you know he was a net negative? We all remember the Jefferson play but does that define his entire season? I was mad at him too but I wouldn't think he would be one of our first resigns if he was terrible in every way last year.

LOL a more accurate subjective link? Why pay a scouting department millions a year when you can just get a PFF link for like $12.99 a month.
-
LOL at the overdramatic replies on here. It's a 1 year deal for a depth player. He's not going to start. He's making very little and not even guaranteed to make the team. They have to bring more than 53 players to camp lol.
-
TBH, I don't even know who the Cowboys starting C is lol. I think the Cowboys have a lot tied up into their line and needed to let some players of value go. I know this guy isn't All World but it looks to be an immediate upgrade and with his age, maybe there's more growth. I hope he has some tenacity to him....I think we lack that in the trenches on both sides.
-
You're under the assumption that McGovern doesn't want to start or something. He's behind Tyler Smith and Zach Martin on the depth chart at the guard position. McGovern is a free agent and he can choose where he goes. Are you saying the Cowboy's don't want to pay a back up more than $7 million a year means he's average?
-
Per my friend who is a Cowboys fan: "He's a pretty good player, good enough to start on the interior. Heard is best position is RG but never played there with us because of Zach Martin so he was mostly a LG. Has some flexibility to play center too."
-
If that was the case, there wouldn't be any mid tier FA.

In the article.... This wasn’t a one-year thing, either. “The Jimmy Garoppolo vanishing act,” as Silver called it, occurred every year of Garoppolo’s tenure with the 49ers except last year.
