  1. Unfortunately 2013 was a horrible class in general. Trading down for extra picks was a smart move. Some of the best players in the draft came in the second or third round. In hindsight Kyle Long or Hopkins would have been the best pick. Those would have been considered huge reaches at the time though. Darnold had 9 picks in year one, 13 in year two. Rosen had 11 in year one, 5 in year two (was injured half the year), and 10 in year three. Baker Mayfield has been below 8 the last three years which is fantastic. Mike White threw 7 picks in 2016 and 8 in 2017 which is not a concerning number for me. When you start getting in the 10+ range it becomes an issue for me.
  2. I think he does a really good job moving the defence with his eyes to create openings for his WRs. I see him move around the pocket well, know where to go with the football against certain coverages, and throw with anticipation. He would be my choice for the next QB of the Bills if I had a say. I think a lot of that has to do with him having poor talent on the offensive line and the skill positions. He elevated the entire offence to become reasonable. He had one horrible throw for an int in that game, all QBs make bad throws every once in a while. I am willing to roll the dice on a kid if I see pocket presence, accuracy, progression ability, and an NFL arm. White has all of those things. The throws he made in the senior bowl were brilliant, it is rare to see such good anticipation while playing with players you hardly know.
  3. I have him graded pretty similar. Late first round early second round prospect, in my opinion. Buddy Nix would take Josh Allen for sure. His Accuracy in football IQ is what really impresses me.
  4. I honestly would take him in the third. I don't think he is a fit for what McDermott wants to do on offence. I would rather have Rudolph or Mike White. You would need to have an Offensive coordinator that integrates the QB run into the offence and a backup QB that can run well. I would personally leave him in a college type system, he is going to be set up to fail in a pro-style offence. I do think Jackson can have success in the NFL, has to be the right fit though.
  5. He was, but that was a horrible draft class and one of the worst senior bowls I have seen since it was televised. EJ did not look close to as good as the QBs out there today. His performance was probably better than the kid from Nebraska, that is about it. I was hoping for Hurst and Phillips.
  6. I think you should add in White, Rudolph, Lauletta, and Falk. Those guys all have some starter qualities as well.
  7. I think this is a pretty fair evaluation of Rudolph. He should be picked somewhere between 20-64. I think his ceiling is Kirk Cousins and his floor is Chad Henne.
  8. I wouldn't take him in the first either. We could probably wait and draft him with our second round pick. Saying that if the Bills know that is our guy, then they better trade up to the top of round 2 because there is no reason to risk it. The Wisconsin game was early in his career so I would throw that out. I never judge QBs anymore watching Alabama tape. I remember watching Dak Prescotts Alabama tape and he looked horrific, I thought he would be a bust (I didn't watch any other games on him that year). I don't think Tom Brady would be able to do anything against Alabama's D with Western Kentucky's offence. His WRs were absolutely blanketed and his oline got destroyed on almost every play. FAU is a really good opponent. I posted that game above.
  9. Can you add Mike White and Lauletta?
  10. Adding two run stuffing DTs in round one would not make me happy. I would much rather go with Phillips and Bryan. As for the second round, I don't believe RT is a need. I'm getting a QB with one of those two picks.
  11. Looks good to me. I think Ballage will be a second round pick when it is all set and done. I would run to the podium in round 4 though. He is the perfect compliment to Shady. It depends what you want. I don't really need my RBs running guys over. Thats a recipe for injuries and a short career. He is a one cut, speed guy. I think he would compliment Shady very well. He is a better version of Karlos Williams.
  12. Lots of NFL throws on this tape.
  13. Both him and Mike White made me comfortable not taking a QB in the first this year.
  14. I thought the same thing. I watched one game on him and was not impressed. Went back and watched two more after the senior bowl today and I think he could be a second or third round gem. His accuracy and arm strength were much better than I was expecting.
  15. I am on board with this. I could not have been more impressed with what I saw today. He is easily on the level of Carr and Dalton when they came out. I went and watched two games of his tape after the senior bowl today.
  16. His oline was horrible his senior year, he had Forest Lamp as a junior.
  17. I wouldn't be to sure of that. Harrison Phillips is a Sean McDermott type player, the Bills are going to try to fill a lot of holes this offseason so trading down is a real possibility, and drafting a QB in the second makes way more sense than getting one in the first this year. It is a very deep QB class and all of the first round QBs have major holes. I would not be surprised if the Bills are targeting Rudolph or White in the second round.
  18. I think you need to change your Rankings. Mike White looked fantastic today. I started watching his tape, he looks like a 2nd-3rd round prospect. How can you not like accuracy and a big arm? I like Rudolph and White in the second or third round, Falk and Lauletta in the fourth, and Woodside, Benkert, and Litton in the 5th-7th. Also I would much draft anyone of those guys rather than wasting picks to move up to take one of the QBs in the first. The drop off is pretty minimal in my opinion.
  19. All of that makes sense. There are going to be a lot of Really good DTs available to us in round 1. I am putting my money on Harrison Phillips with one of our first round picks. Former wrestler, blue collar Nebraska boy, clone of Kyle Williams on tape.
  20. I agree with most of what you said. His velocity is very average, it is the most concerning part of his game. I am still trying to figure out if he has enough to be a good NFL QB. I like his accuracy for the most part, he misses on deep balls a little too much for my liking. He does not have great mobility, but I think he does a good job moving in the pocket to buy time. Progressions are obviously hard to figure out in the spread offence but he does have NFL reads in his offence and makes NFL throws. I would much prefer taking him in the second round. I think Mayfield is the cleanest prospect, it is just tough taking a short QB in round 1. Rosen is the most talented QB but I do not believe he has the personality to be great at the NFL level. Darnold should have stayed in school another year. He has all the talent but will probably be an int machine his first couple years in the league.
  21. I don't think Gilmore is a bad player. EJ Gaines makes just as many plays and is a better fit for our system. If I could choose between Gilmore and Butler I would pick Butler, I think he is a great corner in this league.
  22. I think there is going to be a lot of differing opinions on the QBs this year. Why don't you like Rudolph? Right now I would rank them: 1) Rudolph 2) Mayfield 3) Rosen 4) Darnold 5) Jackson 6) Woodside 7) Allen 8) Falk 9) Benkert 10) Litton Everyone else I have as undrafted right now. As far as grades. My top four all have mid to late first round grades, Jackson is second, Allen and Woodside third, Falk is fourth, and the other guys 5th or 6th round.
  23. 2013- Did not feel like there was any elite QBs in the draft. I like EJ Manuel in the second, Mike Glennon in the third, and Landry Jones in the fourth. I did not like Geno Smith or Matt Barkley. Bottom line there was no right answer in this draft, they all sucked. 2014- I didn't really pay attention to QBs in this draft because we just drafted Manuel. I didn't like Bortles or Manziel. 2015- Mariota was my number one QB, I gave him a top 5 grade. I was not as high On Winston as most, I had him rated on about the same level as Flacco. 2016- Love Carson Wentz, I gave him a top 5 grade. I did not like Jared Goff as much as most. I gave Goff a 2nd or 3rd round grade. I liked Paxton Lynch and was hoping the Bills would draft him in the late first. I gave Hackenberg a 6th or 7th round grade. I liked Brissett and Kessler as mid to late round prospects. I only watched on game on Prescott against Alabama and he looked horrible, I probably should have watched him more. 2017- I really liked Deshaun Watson I gave him a top 5 grade. Trubisky had a first round grade a little higher than Ryan Tannehill. Mahommes had an early second round grade, Kizer had a 2-3rd round grade. liked Cooper Rush as a late round prospect but I was only able to find one game on him.
  24. I think the oline is good enough for us to have a top offence in the NFL. We need to improve the skill positions and the QB. Dawkins played great as a rookie, there is not reason to believe he can't turn into a franchise LT. Glenn could be moved to RT, I don't see any reason to get rid of him right now his trade value is so low. Mills actually improved a lot last year, he is a solid swing tackle option. Wood and Incognito should have another good year left, if they don't Groy is a good option. RG could obviously be improved, I don't think there is an oline in the league with 5 good players though.
  25. Agreed, we already have two corners better than him on our roster. I would like to steal Malcom Butler from them this year. He is under appreciated in New England and a much better corner than Gilmore.
