Things that really piss you off when driving.
gomper replied to Jon in Pasadena's topic in Off the Wall
It's both but that's the Springville PD spot. They were there earlier this evening. -

Tailgating. Here in the Southtowns, it's almost a sport. I travel on the many country roads out here and people love to ride on your bumper until they can pass. I'm going a bit over the limit. I guess your time is more important than mine. The other day I was driving out of Springville. SPD is notorious for setting up there. It goes from 45 to 55 and they patrol the 45 stretch. Most people know this and wait the two miles to get up to 55. Not the idiot in the pickup behind me. He blows past me going 70 and we approach a blind curve and almost hit head on with a vehicle traveling the other way. Never in my life did I wish they were on patrol that day more. If pickup bro wound up in a ditch, that's on him. But don't take anyone else with you because of your stupidity. -
No better seats in the house.

I guess I was right after the fact lol. Truthfully, I thought of this last week. It's an incredibly sexy matchup. -

My guess is SF@Buf on SNF. League loves these kind of matchups. Working, so sorry if SF game has already been posted. -
John Murphy officially stepping down as Bills' play by play announcer

Please. Listen to some of his HS football games. You think Chris is bad? Sal is a trainwreck. -
John Murphy officially stepping down as Bills' play by play announcer

Omg. Wouldn't that be fantastic. Doubt he'd leave the Bay. After all these years, I don't think people realize how good he is. He grew up a huge Van fan. He is great. -
WGR callers way worse than any poster here…
gomper replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
The station is so bad. Listened to Bulldog by himself on Monday. Embarrassing. WNY deserves better. -
Kraft hurt Belichik's chances at becoming the Falcons HC per NYP.
gomper replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. I was wondering why it was a short term discussion with BB. Plus, all the controversy over the documentary, no class. As always. -

Damn, what a game. 1983 Bills Dolphins at orange bowl
gomper replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the game that Shula said after " I found my quarterback." Boy did he. -
My first of many shows. Had my shirt off (not usually my style) during Tennessee Jed and went someplace else. Hooked ever since. The 89 and 90 shows were amazing too. They always played well in Buffalo.

As a Buffalo fan - who is your MLB & NBA team? Help needed
gomper replied to Bills!Win!'s topic in Off the Wall
MLB- San Francisco and Toronto. One from each league. SF because when I lived in Northern California, I went to a lot of games during their World Series run last decade. Great fans and a fantastic ballpark. Toronto because they're the closest. NBA- None. I'm a cheap date when it comes to basketball. I'll watch the Final. -
1985. Rip Torn, David Allen Grier, Loretta Swift and others. Hilarious parody on the beer advertising industry. Cameo by Buffalo's Dick Shawn is a Phil Donohue type host. Very funny movie.

BB used a 2-3-6 the majority of the game to flood the passing lanes and send the DB's and LB's on seek and destroy missions targeting the Bills WR's. It worked. You're right, should have run 34 more. The D got pounded too. That's what cost them the game imo. Going 1 for 8 on 3rd down, with the only conversion coming on the last drive. Giants were 9 of 16. Brutal loss. Still hurts.

Pit Bulls are so cuddly!!! Breed more of them.
gomper replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall
We rescued a pit/Boston terrier mix. He's just a big baby and the biggest sweetheart you'll ever encounter. Horrible owners are the problem. -
Old school wrestling fans, Ole Anderson has died
gomper replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall
Ole was a fantastic heel. Great angle here. -
I thought it was brilliant. I didn't need to see Tony get his brains blown out in front of his family for closure. Let's face it. There were only 3 options. 1) He dies 2) Carlo testifies and he goes to prison 3) He lives and somehow gets out of legal trouble. He was always going to behave like the Tony we watched for the 6 seasons. He had his chance through the insight he gained into himself from therapy but he chose to weaponize that knowledge instead. Chase left it up to the viewer to interpret. I always loved that he treated his audience as intelligent, discerning adults.

If you watch the last Thurman run before the kick,if Al Edwards makes his block, 34 might have been gone. Certainly a lot closer of a kick. So many little plays added up to the final result. Time management was brutal on the last drive too. Worst loss I've ever experienced as a fan of any team.

TV Shows you recall liking that seemed to disappear

Crime Story. 2 seasons 87-88. Michael Mann, the director of Heat ran it. It's on Prime. It proceeded the serial approach of the Sopranos -
Good Lord.

Dalton Kincaid …his toughest opponent came at an early age.
gomper replied to Watching since 1964's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was great with Maddog yesterday. Super honest and intelligent. The price for Sirius is worth it for Super Bowl week and the NHL Playoffs. Way better than GR but you already know that. -
I'm so sorry. May you find peace. She sounds like she was a great person.

On this day in Bills history, the closest Super Bowl ever was played
gomper replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
1 for 8 on 3rd downs with the only conversion coming on the last drive. Giants were 9 of 16. Defense lost that game. The ultimate heartbreaker of them all.
