That's misleading. Mahomes, last year, was the first league leader in passing to win a Super Bowl. You don't need a $15 million dollar a year back, but you do need a comeptent running game, which the Bills have not had in the McDermott years. Josh ain't gunslinging this team there.

Here's the rub. McDermott was just given a contract extension 3 months ago that a majority of you praised. I have ZERO confidence in Beane or Pegula making any major changes before 2027, so buckle up.

Way too early for that. He has another 3 seasons, at least, before Beane would even let that thought cross his mind. I'd clean house well before I got rid of Allen. That's for sure. -

It's not all about the running game per se. It's more about having a weapon that can be used in a variety of ways to take some of the responsibility off of Josh. Cook could be that. Of course, the play design and QB decision making is a factor.

People called me crazy and said I was outdated in my thinking. Josh Allen needs a big time, all-purpose RB, like what Herbert has in Ekeler. You can't rely on him to consistently carry this offense. Along with that, he needs an OC that knows how to utilize said RB. The back could very well be Cooks, but the OC sure as ***** ain't Ken Dorsey.

He certainly turns the ball over more than this team can afford. There was a thread on here about a year ago about the QB class of '04 and who would be the Phillip Rivers of this current crop of QBs. Just sayin...

Not necessarily. They can sign Higgins in the offseason once the cap figure goes up. Chase isn't due for a new deal until the end of 2024. It can be done. -

2003 season opener. Bills shut out the Patriots 31-0. Buffalo would go into the bye week 4-4 and lose 6 of their last 8. Patriots went 14-2 and won the Super Bowl. Take week 1 with a grain of salt.
