  1. He's gotta be in the running for greatest UDFA ever.
  2. Jason Peters is unquestionably a Hall of Famer.
  3. This is a team-friendlyish deal. Shakir is happy where he is, being in a great football city, as an integral part of the offense and playing with an elite QB. If all goes well, he'll be 29 and ready for another sizable deal when this one is up.
  4. Kirk from a few years ago, sure. This version's arm is cooked. Midway through the season he had no steam on his throws. Don't know if that's achilles related or not?
  5. I don't think anything Cook is doing sways Beane one way or the other. They have him under contract for another season. I doubt they're going to burn any picks on a RB this go around. I expect Ty back, along with Davis and we'll see what happens with James. Edit: I strongly disagree that he's made a big mistake. This is his 1 shot to get as much money as he can before he reaches 30. He's going for it and he absolutely should.
  6. Strongly disagree. James Cook is a proven commodity. He'll get paid here or elsewhere, but he's getting paid.
  7. It will be at some point, but we may not be alive to see it. The answer is definitely OJ. It projects to 2400 yards in a 17 game season.
  8. Any way Beane can rope the Jets into trading Garrett Wilson here? He'd be just what the doctor ordered.
  9. 😄 appreciate the honesty.
  10. I think he'll take less to stay in Cinci. He should. Tee will put up numbers, play with an elite QB and Cinci will always be dangerous with the trio they have and Chase Brown under his rookie deal. And if he does a 3 year contract, he'll be age 29 and in line for another big deal when the current is up. I hope he's smart about this. I hate seeing WRs waste away on middling franchises with no QB.
  11. He just wanted to be paid what he was worth. Things change in the NFL and players have their contracts amended all the time. It wasn't anything new. The Bills were just being cheap.
  12. Peters developed into one of the very best LTs in the league and was vastly underpaid for his production at the position, as evidenced by the trade compensation and extension that followed in Philadelphia. It was idiotic to not rightfully pay him his worth and the Bills suffered because of it. Josh Allen's contract runs through 2028. Are you gonna hold him to that same standard and talk about how the Bills shouldn't adjust his contract to match the market? Who am I kidding? We all know the answer to that, don't we?
  13. That's right. Laugh away the pain of that awful contract Beane signed Knox to. I'm talking value. $10M is a good starting point, but very unlikely to get it done. I'm confused. Do you guys want to win or penny pinch?
  14. What's crazy money? He deserves and is worth a considerable amount more than Dawson Knox. Yup. That same dude who won a Super Bowl and enjoyed a lengthy Hall of Fame career away from Buffalo.
  15. These antics are negotiating tactics commonly used around the league. This is about millions of dollars that James stands to make in his limited window to earn money in his career. Mr. Nice Guy will only get you rolled in this business, particularly at the RB position.
  16. And you have confidence in what you've seen thus far that this regime values or has a good eye for talent at the WR position?
  17. Meet him in the middle. $11M-$13M AAV with a decent signing bonus. The Bills cannot afford to lose a talent like Cook.
  18. Their roster is not the problem. For whatever reason, they get off to bad starts. Cincinnati was the hottest team in the league to end the season. NOBODY wanted to face them in the playoffs.
  19. Has anyone said Jordan Mills, yet?
  20. Ah yes. How could I forget?
  21. Brady has never seen the pressure that Mahomes did in both of his Super Bowl losses either, so there's that. I agree was Gronk was the best, but Kelce is the greatest.
  22. He's clearly over-the-hill. He can turn in some vintage Kelce performances, just not for an entire season. Either retire or be prepared to take a backseat to Noah Gray.
  23. Pacheco was his #1 before the injury and then Hunt stepped in and performed better than a healthy Pacheco. When they really needed that extra yard or goal line score, they used Hunt. Perine saw very few touches, but being an ace receiving option, he was used to throw defenses off like the Bills on that pivotal 3rd down. Andy Reid knows how to use weapons like Damien Wiliams, Brian Westbrook, and Shady McCoy. James Cook would be no different.
