So you say that Allen is a busy because of his play in college but then say that Jets fooled us with Darnold... That is pretty idiotic as Sam Darnold sucked in college besides the end of his freshman year. Besides at 7 overall Allen is well worth the risk. He was mocked #1 overall for awhile... That's not a bad spot to select him. Besides Allen played better in his start than McCarron did with his start.. And he has been in the NFL for 4 years...

Shaq did a good job of setting the edge today and forcing the RBs inside and was close to knocking down some passes. Doubt he gets cut. There are currently a lot worse player on this team than Shaq.

That's because he hasn't been looking off defenders. They are jumping routes very easily. You can have the best arm in NFL and if defender gets a good jump and knows it's coming then it could potentially be picked. I said earlier in thread that I think Nate needs to pump fake those throws and have receiver go deep. Will get that on film and defenders won't jump this throws as often.

I disagree his arm is fine... It's better than a lot of QBs in NFL. Heck it's better than Andy Dalton's arm... It's no Josh Allen arm but Nate arm is adequate.

They looked lost with Kyle in game with browns... In fact our run defense improved with Kyle out of the lineup

Wouldn't exactly say that was a JV arm... Allen could have thrown that pass and it would have resulted the same way. Nate has to realize that the DB is waiting him to throw that. DB was driving towards jumping the route as soon as he pulled his arm back. Developing a pump fake in those situations would burn a lot of defenses

That throw to Kerley was probably our best offensive play all day. Thrown were only Jeremy could get it. Perfect placed

Can someone explain why Clay's catch wasnt a first down... He had forward progress before being knocked backwards by the tackler.

What game are u watching... Our guards have been absolutely atrocious. Pushed back into Allen literally every single play. The only time Allen is able to get a throw off is on rollouts and the Bengals are prepared for them cause we have had to use them so much

Allen has been indifferent in my opinion. So hard to guage him today. That one pass to Clay was bad but he threw it on the run. Not an easy pass to make. And the other bad throw your talking about really wasn't a bad throw. He was just trying to force something on 3rd and long. Not a bad throw just trying to take a risk cause he hasn't had many opportunities to let one rip

I get that to a point. But injuries can ruin careers... Look at Trent Edwards. He was fine before his concussions then played tentative the rest of his career to avoid being hit. All the concussions caused him to play differently... I do agree that people use the term to loosely. Especially with Allen... He is used to being in a one man show at Wyoming so he is accustomed to drops and poor OLine play... It won't effect him as a player to much.

Davis on Ross is just a mismatch. Should have White on him... Tre won't get burned with speed. And damn Poyer has had a terrible preseason with missed tackles. Hope he didn't let one good season go to his head. Cause he is looking like he did with the Browns so far this year

Well I believe we can improve at Punter but Jon Ryan's stats are similar to Schmidt's but he is a lot older.

Landry is a repeat offender... Have no issue with a dirty play once but when it becomes consistent then he becomes a dirty player... Which Jarvis is.

Just shows that stats can be misleading... Allen was 3 for 3 on leading scoring drives. Peterman had 2 or 3... 3 and outa to start. Nate picked it up but he was bad when he first came in. Crazy that his stats look that good lol

He played pretty freaking well in place of Clay last year for a late round draft pick in his sophmore year. And he produces pretty well for a backup TE. Nothing crazy but very solid and catches passes when it matters most.

Well have Croom being injured and O'Learys play I'm sure it won't be same next week. The other guys Nick is competing with are taller and more athletic so they practice better... But they don't and probably won't produce like Nick has.

Most of Allen's passes today were short and he moved the stick pretty well.
