  1. Why? We need Flankers... St Brown is a Split End
  2. I mean he downed one on the two yard line tonight
  3. They need to in order to make things fair. If not then RBs will just lower the helmet every play to draw penalties and game will be unwatchable. When they first talked about this rule they were stressing that any player that lowers helmet to initiate contact will be called. That includes offensive players. As it should
  4. I disagree. I think it should have been offsetting penalties. The ball carrier lowered his helmet to initiate contact as well. Both should have been called for same penalty and the penalties offset. We came out on some bad officiating there. It was obvious both players lowered their helmet
  5. No but it's called an audible. And you don't have to throw the same route over and over again. Other players are running routes on a play. Needs to spread the ball better
  6. Not really a bad decision... But he has thrown that same route 3 times already and to the same side of the field all 3 times. Eventually the defenders are gonna recognize it a jump the route. McCarron needs to change things up instead of making the same throw over and over again
  7. The way we played those three games it looked like an 0-16 team as well. But we worked out the kinks and made it to the playoffs... I doubt we make it to the playoffs but I see about a 7 win season.
  8. It's one thing for us to take the game lightly band lose intentionally... It's a whole other for us to get our QBs killed. If we were trying to look bad and catch people off guard then we wouldn't be risking injury to our franchise QB. However I do think we will be better than how we are playing. McDermott seems to get the most out of what he has. Just look at the run defense against Jets, Saints, and Chargers... We were horrendous but eventually Sean got them playing well enough for us to win. I could see same thing happening with OLine. Sean proved with our run defense last year that he can get his players to improve at areas of weakness
  9. Bodine at Center and Groy at Guard seemed like our best lineup yesterday... Still wasn't good but much better than Ducasse and Miller getting blown up every play
  10. What are you talking about? Bodine has been a starter for the Bengals for 4 years and never missed a game... He was never on a bench let alone never didn't make the bench. Newhouse was a starter last year for the Raiders and has been a starter on 4 different teams... You say they wouldn't even make an NFL bench when they've been starters throughout their careers. I'm not saying they are good starters but saying they wouldn't even make an NFL bench is laughable buddy.
  11. Well we shall see... I do think our starting unit is bad. But at the same time I think that this OLine is deeper than it has ever been. I just think it's about finding the right combination. Groy playing Guard with Bodine at Center seemed to be our best lineup today... Miller and Ducasse both played terrible. I'd like to sign Alex Boone and maybe go with a lineup of LT- Dawkins LG- Groy ?C- Bodine RG- Boone RT- Mills Think that kind of lineup would get us by for awhile
  12. What impressed me with Peterman is he was able to keep drives alives even with penalties. Usuy those penalties are drive killers but he still manages to get first downs.
  13. No wonder O'Leary is on the chopping block...
  14. Yeah and we weren't gonna get a guranteed starter with those next three selections. And we still needed a nickle Corner. At that point in draft your just not gonna draft a starter... That's the point to add depth and that's what we did. Watching games last year it was clear that QB, DT, and WR were our biggest needs. We addressed two of the positions. We had so many holes to fill that you can't fill them all in one offseason. It's impossible. Especially when we traded up in first twice. I'm sure OLine and WR and gonna be addressed in next off-season or at trade deadline.
  15. Yes he did... Are you sure you were even watching the right player. Fede played a lot with the first team and played terrible... Maybe you got the two screwed up. But Shaq was pretty solid today.
  16. I mean they tried... Just didn't have the money. We signed Newhouse and Bodine... and drafted Tellar. We tried to address it with what we had. Trading up twice in the first round hurt our draft picks we had.
  17. So you say that Allen is a busy because of his play in college but then say that Jets fooled us with Darnold... That is pretty idiotic as Sam Darnold sucked in college besides the end of his freshman year. Besides at 7 overall Allen is well worth the risk. He was mocked #1 overall for awhile... That's not a bad spot to select him. Besides Allen played better in his start than McCarron did with his start.. And he has been in the NFL for 4 years...
  18. Shaq did a good job of setting the edge today and forcing the RBs inside and was close to knocking down some passes. Doubt he gets cut. There are currently a lot worse player on this team than Shaq.
  19. These annoycers act like Bengals are gonna be really good... Yeah probably not Sean should let Allen throw a hail Mary
  20. That's because he hasn't been looking off defenders. They are jumping routes very easily. You can have the best arm in NFL and if defender gets a good jump and knows it's coming then it could potentially be picked. I said earlier in thread that I think Nate needs to pump fake those throws and have receiver go deep. Will get that on film and defenders won't jump this throws as often.
  21. I disagree his arm is fine... It's better than a lot of QBs in NFL. Heck it's better than Andy Dalton's arm... It's no Josh Allen arm but Nate arm is adequate.
  22. They looked lost with Kyle in game with browns... In fact our run defense improved with Kyle out of the lineup
  23. Wouldn't exactly say that was a JV arm... Allen could have thrown that pass and it would have resulted the same way. Nate has to realize that the DB is waiting him to throw that. DB was driving towards jumping the route as soon as he pulled his arm back. Developing a pump fake in those situations would burn a lot of defenses
  24. That throw to Kerley was probably our best offensive play all day. Thrown were only Jeremy could get it. Perfect placed
  25. Can someone explain why Clay's catch wasnt a first down... He had forward progress before being knocked backwards by the tackler.
