  1. It looks like Antonio Brown unearthed it
  2. Admittedly I don't know much about Diaz's personality but it seems he may not be cut out for New York. On the other hand though I did find that "moderately" impressive he was able to compose himself and strike out the next 2 batters. Not sure what the issue is with him. I'd try to move him in the offseason though unless VW is married to him. I know as a Mets fans (or at least I) sort of hyper focus on our own issues. Seems though the Phillies have very similar ones. Not a very strong bullpen and their share of bad contracts. Harper imo has been very underwhelming. If you're paying a guy that amount of money I expect him to lead the team to the World Series and compete for the triple crown ever year. I guess some Phillies fans will defend that contract saying we had to over pay to get him. But still....
  3. I mean I can’t remember any Jets games over the years being especially suspicious in terms of the officiating. The Jets get screwed whenever they play the Patriots as well.
  4. After reading a thread on Off The Wall, ESPN it seems is basically a porn site. A waste of energy to get worked up over
  5. This has to be up there! 1st ever win in Chicago. Plus 99% of the media picked Da Bears to win that day
  6. So pretty much ESPN is a porn channel/site these days? ?
  7. It's not exactly what the OP had in mind but I just saw this clip again after many years. I had tears from laughing so hard! Such as underrated comedy
  8. I’m gonna have to agree with you today
  9. You nailed it amigo. I'm numb at the moment. I can't really just comprehend that yet
  10. The one year we beat the Jets in an opener is the year we broke the drought. I'm of the opinion there's a lot of pressure on the Bills here.
  11. Kreese didn’t think so ?
  12. Important. Look at 2012 getting slammed by the Jets on the opener. That year most people sort of had an idea it was over already after Game 1. They were correct
  13. My Life with Michael Keaton got me choked up
  14. Yep. 3 wins out of the last 4. I still think ultimately they're going to come up short in the end but I do expect to see some fight. I don't know the statistics but I want to say the Mets usually perform well on Labor Day. Until the Braves game that year September of 2001 was one of my most memorable months as a Mets fan. I still recall them beating the Phillies at the old Vet on Labor Day that year to sort of start their run.
  15. Yeah 9 months later you would tend to think cream would eventually rise to the top. If it’s a turd it would eventually sink ?
  16. Am I the only one that thinks he resembles Kyle Orton a little?
  17. I know nobody liked this movie but this is a very touching scene:
  18. The end of the Curious George movie when this song came on: Somehow it reminds me of childhood innocence/curiosity. Honorable Mention: A League of Their Own: There's No Crying In Baseball! But at the end when that Madonna song This Used To Be My Playground plays I used to feel a little misty eyed
  19. https://www.fresnobee.com/news/local/pot-in-california/article231444783.html He’s in the cannibis business. I didn’t start this thread to Tuel on the guy. I mean .0001% of the population can say they were a starting QB in the NFL. It’s just rather interesting where people wind up.... And hey as of right now his product looks pretty desirable!
  20. I'd say Haushka is one of the best FG kickers in the game today. I would think a medium NFL fan would know of him
  21. Good point. Could you ever see him acting like Barkley and being a positive influence on the younger guys? Of course I mean I'm not in the locker, just my perception is Barkley is a lot better teammate
  22. With Clay & MCCoy gone this is like the final remnants from the Rex Ryan era gone. It really is fully McDermott's & Beane's show. All praise and or blame is on them this and possibly next year
  23. Part of me always felt Sean never loved him because he wasn't a guy he could build a foundation for "The Process" with. And I know there's money to be saved as well but this move still shocks me. As the OP mentioned he looked pretty good in the preseason
  24. I expect the worst as well but I do expect they are not going to die without a fight. If that makes any sense. I don't know if you saw this but my favorite managerial candidate is in trouble again: https://wfan.radio.com/articles/news/ex-mets-2b-wally-backman-arrested-domestic-dispute I tend to reserve judgment without knowing all the facts but it just doesn't look good for him.
