  1. I mean I can't speak for this poster but I'm not from Buffalo nor do I have any sort of real ties to the city outside this message board. I mean if you even want to call it that? With me when I started watched football in the early 90's the Bills were solid and I always heard my father speak fondly of the area when he used to travel there for work. So I guess that's where liking the Bills started with me. It's waned at times over the years but it's still there
  2. Thanks. ? One doesn’t need a mathematical mind to think analytically on what I’ve read here over the years. Lol
  3. It’s a question I’m going to guess most members at TBD have. Maybe around 90-95%. But I’m sure there’s a few who might not have. I’d be curious to know why if you answered no. Not that I think it makes someone less of a fan at all. Especially if traveling/distance is an issue. Or if you just like to follow the games more from home or at a local Bills Backer club per say. For the record I’ve been to two home games.
  4. They still would charge you otherwise in the midst of a pandemic? Just doesn’t sound like the best business practice. To me anyway
  5. Well I was never into the party scene in my early 20s but I can certainly empathize with someone who made decisions in their life around that age their not proud of. I’ve had my share. But no getting around it the DWI and gun charge together just isn’t good. Especially now What’s done is done though. I’m a believer in taking personal responsibility for your actions. That’s where I’d like to see Ed learn
  6. I always tended to think paramedics were underpaid/unappreciated for the type of work they do even before the outbreak. It seems there's more appreciation for those workers now. Working in healthcare (I'm not on the front lines) it's nice to see the Heroes Work Here signs in front of a lot of the buildings. Nurses/care givers seem to get more respect over all now
  7. I'm still not going to sugar coat it, the Art Howe era (2003-2004) might have been some of the most cringeworthy and awful Mets baseball I recall in my lifetime. It really wasn't the happiest few years either in my life so maybe that's why I remember it so badly? But anyway I do recall him being a nice/decent man. I was saddened to read that. I hope he recovers
  8. I always enjoy reading your thoughts and posts. But I think you may be looking too deeply into this. Who cares what some random Jet fan posts or thinks on their message boards
  9. I was never really a big Winnie Cooper fan from The Wonder Years. I always thought during the course of the series she just played mind games with Kevin. Kevin could be a jerk at times but more often then not he had his heart broken by her during the course of the series. Somewhere in the middle of the series a tall beautiful French girl Madeline liked Kevin and even kissed him in front of everyone. I always thought he was silly for being so hung up on Winnie
  10. Bologna and cheese. A certain ex Bills coach favorite as well lol
  11. Agree on 2012. I’d also add Stevie Johnson took less money to be a Bill that offseason. I’m thinking all right they made improvements on their defense and everyone is happy and wants to be here. Needless to say I was very disappointed. But as you say the team had no depth and no real clear vision. I kick myself now for being so hyped on that team. The 2019 opening win against the Jets in New Jersey though erased the memory of opening day in 2012 though ?
  12. I re watched some of the 1st half last night. It was nice to see and remember how passionate the crowd was that night. Also kinda cool to see the game in HD versus my my tiny Sony tv at the time. It did bring me back to my early 20s, a more care free time in my life. More for Off The Wall but reminded me of things I wished I’d done differently But yeah wasn’t gonna re watch the 4th quarter!
  13. Eye opening! Reading them may make me want to post this disclaimer if I post an opinion on draft night. My views are subject to evolve/change. It may also be very well affected at the moment by my very lousy mood at the moment and the amount of drinks in my system
  14. I admit to liking drafting him at that time. I thought he had the physical tools to develop. Still like him from a personality stand point. He seemed to be a hard worker so I always wonder why it never clicked for him. Ultimately I just think he didn’t have the mental toughness or a good foundation mentally to withstand playing at that level. And as he said himself his confidence seem to go down over the years. Even after he left the Bills I still thought with hard work and good mental coaching to get to the root of his issues he could have still been at the very least a backup QB in the league. But yeah ultimately his choices
  15. I grew up a big basketball fan of that era like yourself. It seemed growing up where I lived everyone was either a Knicks or Bulls fan. I liked the Knicks & Cavs, so yeah Michael routinely killed both. I went to a Cavs game last year, and a Sixers game 5 years ago but it sounds like yourself I really don't follow the sport too much since the Bulls broke up so to speak. If anything I'd say I'm a Cavs fan today. Like the NBA I hardly if ever watch ESPN these days. But the 30 for 30 series seem to be done well. I liked the one they did on the Bills. There was one they did on the Bad Boy teams of the 80's Pistons I liked as well. So yeah in conclusion I'm not sure I'd watch the premiere of it (if it hasn't passed) but it's definitely something I'd catch on Youtube this year
  16. Yeah. Probably an unpopular opinion as well around here but the Bills aren’t going into Kansas City the next weekend and beating the Chiefs. Its all moot to me
  17. The week 3 game against the Patriots was more memorable than this one. However it’s one of my favorite drought games. Loved the final 2 minutes
  18. Hate? If anything over the years it seems like his poop doesn’t smell if you read these boards. He has the intangible stuff down very well: good teammate, hard worker, says all the right things, and seems to genuinely love Buffalo. Theres still some things he does he can improve upon. I don’t wanna say criticisms because I don’t he’s awful at anything. The long passes come to mind and his body language at times. There’s still times I think the moment looks too big for him now. But all is correctable with time
  19. Geez Dick Stockton has been broadcasting games for a long time. I know he's covered NBA games as well. Body by Gastineau was a real hoot at the Halftime Report!
