I think that less people would be frustrated with that “dumb fat ass” if it weren’t for the fact that the defence has played better with him on the field. As maddening as it is to see him not play through this toe injury, it would be great to see him healthy for the last games of the season and a hopeful playoff run.

I’m pretty sure that your rationalization for that move is off. You may be right that he is not a franchise left tackle, but I don’t think him testing positive is the reason. On a sidenote, players and teams should go into full lockdown for the rest of the season. It worked last year, and it can work this year. It may be that the team that comes out of this with the fewest positive cases is the one that stands on the highest stage at the end of the year.

It seems like there are so many holes in what the NFL has been doing, that this reduction of quality on field product was inevitable. Not having daily tests seems downright stupid.
