THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Receivers are a Dime a Dozen
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall
First off I'm a big fan of your takes, I don't always comment because most of the time they speak for themselves but I just don't care for this take although I might be in the minority here. Just because we don't have a #1 WR on the roster doesn't mean we shouldn't have 1, I don't see the NFL changing in that sense. I think Beane has really ***** the bed when it's come to the WR position or at least planning for the future at the position. I see a bunch of young teams that are stacked at the WR position which Buffalo never seemed to do with Allen until 2020 when they finally got Diggs, until then it was John Brown, Cole Beasley and the Kelvin Benjamin's of the world and once again the entire season will be on Allens back or his arm in this sense. -

I have Prime and Peacock, I refuse to purchase anything else just to watch a game. -

I don't have Netflix nor am I going to subscribe just to watch, the NFL has lost it's mind. -
WR trade candidates, who do you want?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Einstein's Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure why people keep listing Deandre Hopkins, the Titans are giving QB Will Levis everything he needs to be successful before his contract hits. -
Who will be this year's Terrell Bernard??
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Matthews and benjamin didn't work out but Josh was also raw back then, it may not work out just like it didn't then but I don't fault them at all for trying this. Big guys who can win the 50/50 balls, while the smaller guys like Samuel/Shakir can work the middle. Also Holmes was never a starter in either of the seasons he was here and Matthews was only here for the 2017 season before Allen came along and to me was more of a Chase Claypool (hope he can turn it around) signing that they took a shot on with really no risk. -
Who will be this year's Terrell Bernard??
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going with WR Justin Shorter, he's 6'4" 221 lbs, ran a faster 40 time than Coleman at 4.55 and has had a full year learning the playbook with a legit opportunity barring that the Bills make no extra moves at WR via trade/free agency. I would think if we're trying to be bullies at WR having a 6'3" plus 6'4" on the outside would be pretty rough to contend with for most corners. -
Shakir starter or complement piece?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Mat68's topic in The Stadium Wall
From what i saw didn't Shakir basically take over the role of Davis when Davis went down with an injury? I think going forward that Keon Coleman will be given every opportunity to be the #1 WR, with Khalil Shakir as the #2 and Curtis Samuel in the slot. That's where i think everyone is most dangerous imo. Unless we bring in Michael Thomas or trade for another WR then i think that will be the plan going forward. -
What does this have to do with what the OP is stating? right in the title thread it says "Top 5 QB and Top 5 WR salary cannot coexist on a SB team" 3 out of the 5 teams made it to a SB, 1 of them won it all and the 2 others are vying for a SB. All those teams will have top QB money to go along with top WR money. Josh Allen is the 9th highest paid QB in football so he isn't even top 5, just so you know I'm not trying to argue with you I'm just showing the OP that not only is it possible it's being done multiple times.

The Eagles just signed Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown and #2 WR Davonta Smith who went to a SB The bengals have signed Joe Burrow and about to sign Jamar Chase next season who have a SB appearnce The Dolphins are about to sign Tua who have 1 of the highest paid WR Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson and Amari Cooper The rams like you said Stafford/Kupp The Lions Goff/St.Brown These are all playoff teasm vying for a SB, it can be done and why would it be a pipe dream?

Bills sign Chase Claypool, Smoot, Jones
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
They called him Waste Claypool in Pittsburgh because that's what he is, this is just a camp body in hopes of turning into something but most likely wont make the squad. I would hope this signing wouldn't stop the Bills for going out and adding other WR's. I'd much rather have 4 games of Mike Thomas who actually tries then this dude. I think Smoot was a solid get and will make the team as a situational guy for us. -
Deion Jones signed to 1-year deal per Schefter

Who leads the team in receiving in 2024? (Most yards)
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm definitely taking Kincaid in fantasy leagues, dude is going to have an unreal amount of targets whether he's ready for them or not. -
Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
This might have been stated already somewhere but there are like 40 pages . I just heard that Keon Coleman is the 1st rookie WR to reach out to Andre Reed. That's pretty awesome and smart trying to get as many football minds to help you especially hall of famers is never a bad thing. https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/buffalo-bills-hall-of-famer-andre-reed-connects-draft-pick-keon-coleman#:~:text=Coleman reached out to Bills,in the NFL and Buffalo.&text=This proactive approach speaks volumes, wearing the blue and red. -
What's the point of this team's philosophy?
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hear where you're coming from and like others have stated I just don't think that type of play is sustainable especially in NY with the crappy weather. We have a plethora of weapons for Allen of all shapes and sizes but I think it's wise to get it in the playmakers hands and let them do the work. It's also not like we have nobody that will be running deep, if you look at Shakirs stats he had 10 targets of 20+ yards and 2 targets of 40+ yards which is identical to Stefon Diggs https://www.rotowire.com/football/player/khalil-shakir-15892 , it doesn't however tell me how many were caught by each but that's a good sign. Also if you look at Curtis Samuel under Joe Brady as OC in 2019/2020, Samuel had 8 targets of 20+ and 1 target of 40+, 12 of 20+ the following year and 2 of 40+ with nobody nearly as talented as Josh so I think the deep ball will still be there but wont be relied upon as much which isn't a terrible thing. Josh Allen is suited for all types of throws not just backyard ball which alot of people call it and hopefully it leads to the best season of his career but I het the fact why people are upset and can't fault them for it. I'm hoping this isn't a wasted year like some are predicting, I'm hoping having a bunch of different guys to throw to instead of force feeding it to 1 guy makes the difference but we shall see. -
Rd 6, Pick 219: CB Daequan Hardy, Penn State
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
My favorite Bills CB of all time is Antoine Winfield, the guy was a heat seeking missle and was only 5'9", Hardy isn't of the same mold but I like what he shows in the videos and like the 3rd game in shows him playing in snow which is great to see. He should be a solid special teamer and a good backup for Taron Johnson (hopefully). -
Rd 3, Pick 95: DT DeWayne Carter, Duke
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
I saw that also, he's already acclimated to destroying the newest member of the Patriots, well played Beane, well played. -
Rd 4, Pick 128: RB Ray Davis, Kentucky
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have been reading up on the back story of Davis and I will 100% be rooting for this kid. If he does well I can see him in a Fred ex type of fan favorite.... Was homeless on several occassions before going through the foster care, his school teacher let him stay with her until he could move in with his grandparents. This kid has been knocked down several times and still made it to the top of the mountain, that's very impressive.- 372 replies

I might criticize McDermott for other things but he absolutely knows his safeties and i have no doubt both Bishop and Edwards will thrive in this sytem under his management.
