  1. Interesting stat, MG converted 3rd/4rth down carries with 5+ yds to go more than any back in the nfl over last two seasons. 14 of 17 such attempts for a ridiculous success rate of over 82%. No one else even close. Not an argument, just a fact to put out there. I think BB probably knows that as well. pbomb :U do realize mg was a 5th round pick ? U do realize Tom Brady was a 6th round Comp pick. How is when MG was drafted relevant to his current value to a team?
  2. Amazing how many people think you can just easily find good running backs late in the draft, undrafted, on the street corner, etc. This guy was one of the most efficient runners in the league last year according to multiple analytic sites. McCoy is a year older and will certainly need plays off or games off if he can't stay healthy.
  3. Brady was a 6th round comp pick himself, so I think they did use the system to get ahead.
  4. Good news. I think he was great filling in last year and has versatility. Can't do much without a solid line.
  5. . CB Terence Newman (Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) Newman’s play at the age of 38 is barely believable. Last season for the Vikings he allowed a league-best mark of 0.58 yards per snap in coverage, and an average of only 8.4 yards per catch. He gave up just one score all season and wasn’t beaten for a catch longer than 24 yards across 754 snaps of play. Newman allowed a total of 31 yards after the catch all season, and though he only had one interception, he broke up five more passes and allowed just 51.8 percent of targets to be caught. He is still playing at an incredibly high level, but at his age teams won’t want to commit to anything longer than a one-year deal. At 38 yrs old this guy led the league in yds per coverage snap and only allowed 31 total yds after catch and 1 td all year! Wow, that is hard to believe.
  6. If my mother put on a helmet and shoulder pads, and a uniform that wasn't the same as the one I was wearing, I'd run over her if she was in my way... And I love my mother. -BO JACKSON Never heard or saw this before, hilarious.
  7. If the Bills don't get picks for Gilmore and Woods then yes, they did it wrong. Obviously it is too early to tell. 3rd and 4th round picks are valuable and also tradable now, so pretending it doesn't matter is naive. I don't know the numbers but I don't recall the Bills getting very many of them in the last 5 years. I sense that this subject has been kicked around here before.
  8. Why would anyone question the competency of such a successful organization?
  9. Hingle McCringleberry took it too far. https://youtu.be/OEh0Y0xvFVk At least he only celebrates tds though.
  10. Signing Tyrod does not prevent the Bills from drafting a qb and for all anyone knows at this point, Mahomes and Kelly might be the best pro qbs in this class.
  11. I would be in favor of trading back for another 2nd and a 4th if at all possible. If not, a day 1 starter at wr or secondary would be my preference.
  12. Yep, I figure he is the qb for at least two years because of the 8 mil dead cap next year. With the decision to keep him, this is much better than the original extension. Now the Bills need serious wr and secondary help.
  13. No new numbers up yet that I can find. My guess is that the cap hit is getting kicked down the road in the form of a larger dead cap if or when the Bills move on. Anyways, Taylor is definitely the Bills qb for a couple years and so I will get behind that and hope for the best. If the defense improves significantly the Bills could do some damage.
  14. The Bills issued a statement that Whaley thanked Christie for his offer but thought it was best for Carp to keep working with his coach. Just to clarify who Christie was referring to. http://buffalonews.com/2017/03/07/christie-claims-whaley-rebuffed-offer-help-bills-kickers/
  15. As such, we were also able to speak with someone with close ties to the very reputable food establishment across the street from Tyrod Taylors residence. Taylor was seen moving out of his luxury condo in downtown Buffalo on Main/Chippewa area, lending credence to the notion that he is seeking new property. "They did speak to someone with close ties to a very reputable food establishment". ??? haahaha, who writes this stuff? Hope they make a decision before this conjecture gets any more ridiculous.
  16. I noticed how Gilmore was upping his effort as the season wound down. He just wants to get paid I think. Need guys with not only talent, but a lot of heart and love of the game.
  17. Somehow the Pats have 49 players under contract next year for less $$$ combined than the Bills top 12 players combined. wtf
  18. According to pff Roby was the Bills highest rated cb in coverage last year, 31st in the league. The Bills, had the 24th rated secondary with Darby #2 in the league against the run, and Graham the Bills overall best. No mention of superstar Gilmore. Not a member of pff but happened to see the article.
  19. The love you share will endure forever, nothing will change that. May that love fill your heart. My prayers are with you.
  20. Lorax was a great find but not worth investing a lot of future cap in at his age. If they could bring him back at the right price great, otherwise move on.
  21. Ironic when you consider the extension was unnecessary at the time and Whaley is the one who wrote it.
  22. He was probably too embarrassed to wear one of those hospital gowns.
  23. I would put a competent, professional GM at the top of the needs list. Quick, before Whaley blows another draft, writes another stupid contract, or has to speak in public again.
  24. Turk checking in. Same name, live in Oregon, from South Buffalo, was 38 last playoffs. Thnx for hosting.
