  1. I'm not looking for articles right now or anything, but I know there's been a narrative in Seattle that Wilson has a lot of the same issues. There was a lot of speculation that they'd draft a QB high to kinda push him competitively. Obviously, they didn't. But there's definitely concern regarding several of the same things.
  2. RF, I like the take, and not because it takes blame off anyone. Look, sitting in the bar where I was watching the game, I told the guy next to me it wouldn't shock me if there's a QB change at the half and I wouldn't be upset, either. My feelings on Taylor are a lot more ambiguous than some of you think they are. I've been trying to establish that I'm excited about our future at the position because by 2018, one of two things will have happened: 1) Taylor will have such a good year in 2017 that we'll be pretty confident he's the guy leading us forward. or 2) We will draft our future at the position, regardless of whether Taylor is retained for 2018, which he might be. At this point, whether it's because the coaches just want a really conservative game plan or they just don't trust putting a bigger passing load on Taylor because they don't think he can handle it or he really can't handle it, I don't think we're going to see #1 happen. Everyone said in the offseason we were obviously going to pass the ball a ton more than the last two years like it was obvious. I wish we would, but I don't know why it was so obvious. And no, I'm not saying I wish we would pass the ball a ton more because I think Taylor would turn into a superstar. Unlike so many on this message board, I don't really know what Taylor would do if he were given a heavy passing load. What frustrated the hell outta me in the Carolina game was our game plan. I hope Dennison learns from it. Players need to execute, too, obviously. But I'm tired of these slow starts that extend for entire halves until we're desperate and need to open the game up. Sink or swim. Let Taylor throw the ball 35 times a game. He's successful, good for 2017 for him and the team and maybe the future depending on how successful. He sucks, good for 2018 because we'll probably be in position to draft a guy. When we started moving the ball on that last drive, it was the first time in awhile I actually felt like we were going to score a TD. Then the OPI happened and I lost it. Then it was back for the flash of an instant when I saw the ball in the air and Zay open. Then heartbreak. Oh the life of a Bills fan.
  3. Prove? I said the big takeaway is that Cam is overrated. It has not a thing to do with Taylor even though people are bringing him into the conversation. I'll probably talk about this for another day then we're onto Denver!
  4. Wohoo!!! Thurm is back with his hot takes and now he can read minds. I am so freaking jealous! I mean, in a post where I'm talking entirely about Cam, he somehow knows that I'm really talking about someone else I don't talk about at all. Wow! How does he do that?!?! Damn, where's the sarcasm icon
  5. Yep. And Cam has a lot of familiarity with his weapons at this point. Since the whole All-22 seems to be a theme in other discussions today, I think some folks should go take a look at how incredibly wide open Cam's WRs were on several plays.
  6. Did you confuse Taylor with Newton on Sunday? Yep. Pretty easy to see. Now go watch how wide friggin open Carolina's WRs are. PS-MAJBobby is on a MAJMission today!!!
  7. Why? I guarantee you're reading all of YPP's commentary and factoring in those comments as you watch the clips. This is why you should watch these plays without the commentary. The tweet you just posted they said "I just don't understand why the ball isn't being thrown." The exact same play posted on cover1's breakdown of All-22: "Double tosser concept again on 3rd-long. Daring him to throw it underneath. Pump fakes to get it to Clay but not there. Gets to Shady for Fg" Time to start thinking for ourselves folks!
  8. You mean his "receivers completely blanketed here and OL beat bad in pass pro"??? Man, we need better WRs and a better OL Would have been picked off if he threw it there. Are you even seeing the CB underneath?
  9. Too funny.
  10. Hey guys Thurm's back in the Tyrod discussion with his awesomeness!!!! Whoop whoop!!!! Haven't seen you in these QB discussions in awhile! So strange he shows up for a particularly bad passing game to inject all his football knowledge. Man, I can't wait to read it
  11. Of course he leaves plays on the field. Every single QB in the NFL leaves plays on the field. It's obvious. What's funny here is that you chose 2 plays to criticize that someone else (who has also been historically hypercritical of Taylor) chose and you practically used their own words but when pressed further you seemed at a loss for words. Invest in game pass and watch the plays without the commentary and think for yourself.
  12. Can you explain it? What's happening? Where should the ball be going? When? Why? How many more yards would we have gained on that throw than the yards we gained on a play that was a pass play for positive yardage? Please enlighten us.
  13. Nice. Guess I have my answer. Nearly word for word.
  14. Ummm... what? Honestly are you just trolling at this point? I would love to talk football, but coherent and cohesive posts are necessary for that. Honestly are you watching the plays unfold or relying on commentary?
  15. Ummm... what? Dude, what were you watching? There's a play he's rolling to his left that's pretty clearly designed to #42 where O'Leary comes open in the middle of the field. Taylor sees him and doesn't throw it and goes back to #42. Why? Probably because the difficulty of that throw to O'Leary was significantly higher considering the way he was running and the defenders running straight at him and the goal was just to get a first down and #42 would have had that if he could have held onto the damn ball. What the All-22 confirms is that there may be a couple plays where Taylor could have thrown it to another guy, but our guys were blanketed by Panthers defenders. I really don't know what All-22 you're watching
  16. Trade anything for Cam? Nope. Definitely nope. This is exactly what I'm talking about with my overrated statement. Cam Newton's not the type of QB you "trade anything for," especially at this point in his career. He's taken such a beating already he might already be on the back 9.
  17. Well that's not remotely the reason for this post, but at least you make it very clear you don't like people who criticize him for these things And you're missing the mark with your weirdly scientific approach to a word that has widespread connotations. I did enjoy reading it, though
  18. Hmmm... fascinating... other than replacing the words "shrugs off" with the word "eludes" this sounds very much like a QB you hate. Again, so interesting that people throw out this losing Olsen excuse despite the fact that he was targeted twice in all his time on the field for 1 reception for 10 yards. And yeah, you can say he missed most of the game all you want, except he was there for the entire first quarter and the Panthers ran 22 offensive plays in that quarter alone. Newton still had Benjamin and Funchess who he's built chemistry with over years and throw in an "Elite" rookie hybrid and this hypocritical excuse is pretty comical. Newton was fortunate enough often late to find WRs wide friggin open in the middle of the field while wildly missing guys on more than one occasion and that's something he's done over the course of his entire career. It's not just yesterday.
  19. Oh well this is fascinating. We come up with 1000 excuses for an opposing team's QB having a bad game but.... and I'm sure you can finish that sentence I'm glad you appreciate it I was waiting for that comment.
  20. Do what you gotta do man, just stop telling other people to do something you refuse to do yourself.
