  1. I respond to your questions and you come back with this? Incredible You're hilarious Thurm... why don't you do another terrible breakdown of some pretty simple, clear and direct rhetoric on my part and then not simply admit it was a terrible breakdown on your part and apologize.
  2. Hehe... oh dear lord... my opinion is the only sensible opinion because I think it so I must be right and everyone who agrees with me is sensible and everyone who doesn't is not oh sweet Thurm... don't be afraid to be wrong every once in awhile... as someone once said "There is an inexplicable sense of relief in being proven wrong, which perhaps can only be realized by either a scientist or a philosopher."
  3. Pounded by Thurm... bwahahahahaha!!! You talking about the poster who religiously scurries into the wall to hide when he's wrong about something? Yah, okay
  4. Taylor "showed up" enough to be critical for Ws in enough games in 2017. He made huge plays on critical downs against really solid defenses against the Falcons, Broncos and Chiefs. We don't win the Bucs game without Taylor, which is an often overlooked game. Ultimately, Taylor played a role in every game he played, and a significant enough one to say he was critical to our playoff run, like it or not. You're right about one thing... Tyrod was benched for a reason, we as fans just don't know what that reason is... but, ya know... there were some interesting reports out there :
  5. Question: will you tuck and run like your typical self when you're wrong if Taylor is retained on his current contract this year? That's interesting opinion you have there. It's certainly not a fact... but it's an interesting opinion, nonetheless
  6. I do. The evidence so far this offseason keeps piling up that Tyrod is a Bill for one more year.
  7. And rightfully so. He made that mistake last year on locker room clean out day and it really killed any leverage he had in the off-season. We will all have a pretty definitive answer here in a month and a half, but talk about some douche-baggery in this thread. As I get through these pages and read more and more of the vitriol, I realize there are several posters who are the types of people you don't even cross the street to piss on if their heads are on fire. Yah no... that's definitely not why Kaep's out of the league
  8. Exactly! And that's the bind he got himself into last year when he said on clean out day of 2016 that he'd consider restructuring his contract. Precisely why Taylor's still very likely a Bill for one more year Ummmm... except Taylor can't test the open market considering he's under contract
  9. You'll probably have to deal with him for one more year. Sorry
  10. Hey how about you copy and paste some of the juicy stuff for those of us who don't subscribe?
  11. I say you do that. That's actually a reasonable deal for a healthy Luck considering we never saw Glenn on the field in 2017.
  12. Draft any of the 6 guys slated as potential 1st round QBs except for Allen!!! Oh please don't draft Allen!!! No more EJ Manuel "ball of clay you can mold" type QBs!!!
  13. Last year people thought Goff and Wentz weren't worth the #1 or #2 pick. It's still so early in the process. The fact that at this moment there are legitimately still 6 QBs being talked about as 1st round picks is pretty incredible, I think. And with guys like Arians saying this is the best draft in years, if the odds of hitting are high like it was in '83 and '04... let's just hope McDermott & Beane target the right guy
  14. Wow... we're in very different places... 2018 Super Bowl Champions baby!!! Exactly! This is just differences in how people approach sports... I'm still on a high from our first playoff season in 17 years and the fact that we finally have a coach who wasn't just saying he was going to change the culture... he actually did change it. Good things to come, folks
  15. Sooooo... I think this is just dependent on whoever you are as a person. I admit, I'm just an optimistic person... maybe bordering on being a Pollyanna at times Personally, I think our future is incredibly bright. I think this is going to be maybe the most interesting draft for the Bills in all my years being a Bills fan. I think Beane and McDermott are going to target who they want in the 1st at QB and they're going to just go and get him. Coaching trumps talent That, I feel, is the lesson from 2017. It's one I think the Patriots have been teaching us for years, but everyone just points to who they have at QB and give the QB more credit than the coaching. I've always disagreed with that. This year, McDermott proved to me that a simple and serious culture change can do so much for a team in terms of winning. The Vikings and Rams (and over the last few games the Eagles) have proven to me that if you get the right offensive or defensive system and coaches in place and get your players disciplined enough to play within that system, you can be wildly successful. We're bound to get our players in this draft and in FA to upgrade the team. We have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds and 8 picks in the first 5 rounds. I'm stoked! Whoever's under center or playing at whatever positions next year... I think McDermott has shifted this team into a higher gear and (I know it's waaaaayyyy early) I think we're going to be a better team than this past year and in the playoffs. Super optimistic about this offseason I guess I just drank a helluva lot more than you and I'm still drunk right now
  16. Because this is reportedly one of the deepest QB draft classes in a very very long time and we can probably get our long term answer at the position there. Why is everyone obsessed with blaaaahhhh vet QBs who basically don't stand a chance of being Elite? Time to stop settling for diamonds in the rough we find through trade or FA or late in the draft (Edwards, Fitz, Tyrod) and shoot for the stars and trade UP in the 1st round (thinking back to the fact that we traded down for a QB no one seemed to want still makes me kinda sick) to get whichever QB we want. There might be 6 1st round QBs this year. That's crazy!
  17. It happened in the Chargers game I remember. There was a pick-6 for the taking on one of those sideline passes from Peterman for one of the Chargers' DBs and he just couldn't catch it. That would have been 6 INTs in that half.
  18. Agreed... I actually choked up reading AW's article. Heartbroken for that guy.
  19. Holy crap look how open Thompson was!!! Thanks for this clip... I hadn't rewatched the play since the day of the game... I just remember my progression of my thought process on that play... "He's wide ope... should I go to the bathroom while this ball is in the air... ? Awww crap!!!" That pass has been the reason I've been saying since the Summer that Peterman wouldn't be a starter. Dude doesn't have the arm strength to make one of the most common throws in the modern NFL.
  20. What I love about this is the wildly different numbers that come to the same conclusion. The order is exactly the same. Jackson was most negatively impacted by his WRs dropping balls, which should boost his stock up a little. Darnold was least negatively impacted by his WRs dropping balls, which, given his already kinda concerning completion %, might add to whatever red flags there are about him. Absolutely. But it's also why it's good for one set of eyes to look across the board at subjective things like drops so that you have a fairly accurate "ranking" at least of the QBs. Whoever evaluated the drops from these 2 separate places had the exact same order with just Rosen and Mayfield flip-flopped, but still within one spot of each other. I think that's interesting.
  21. Here's something interesting from the Josh Allen thread breakdown article: https://www.diehards.com/national/film-room-josh-allen-good-bad-ugly-mysterious-nfl-draft-prospect/amp?__twitter_impression=true "Allen’s drop percentage was 7.84 percent in 2017, per ProFootballFocus. That total puts him 20th among draft-eligible quarterbacks. It’s a figure that pales in comparison to Baker Mayfield’s 9.49 percent, Rosen’s 11 percent, and Lamar Jackson’s 12.4 percent (Yeesh, can we please get Lamar some help?)." and also "Allen, like many of this year’s top quarterbacks, namely Lamar Jackson and Josh Rosen , is able to flip the strength of the offensive formation, or kill one play at the line of scrimmage and flip to another (run to pass or vice versa)." Meh... maybe I'm warming up to Jackson a bit
  22. "Quick outs and deep outs were a constant part of the Wyoming offense. He’s as good an out-ball thrower as you will ever evaluate," Who does that sound like the opposite of?
  23. Holy crap! Mayfield or Rudolph, please
  24. Give up? If Taylor is still the Bills starting QB this season, I'll still have high hopes for the season and him under Dabol. But what fool wouldn't want Andrew Luck instead... assuming he's healthy? And I'm hoping for Darnold or Mayfield in the draft a little more realistically... I'm sure in the next 2 1/2 months another draft choice will coerce me... I should probably add Rudolph to the list because I like him, too. But if it's Taylor for one more year, I'll enjoy the year.
  25. I said "other veteran/FA/trade," but only if it's Andrew Luck. If not him, my #2 is Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield. If not them, my #3 for week one of this year is probably Tyrod Taylor.
