No, they don't. Their job is to protect and serve, not to defend themselves from imaginary boogeymen looking to kill them at every confrontation. Their whole ability to do their job is based on conflict resolution. Anyone could resolve a situation by shooting someone when they have carte blanche. If they're so afraid of doing their jobs, they don't deserve to have one. Cowardice is not a defense for murder, even when you call it self-defense.

Yea, I won't win this because I don't work for Breitbart. The fact that you need me to dig up information that's been widely circulated for years, tells me all I need to know about you. Nothing to see here: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/las-vegas-police-explain-michael-bennett-incident-deny-claim-of-racial-profiling/ https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jun/09/the-counted-police-killings-us-vs-other-countries More police killings in a month than in 24 years in England? multiply by 6, carry the two....yea , still BS

Not offended. I'm just disgusted by your 1950's sensibilities. The facts and statistics regarding institutionalized racism are never honestly refuted by your crowd. If you say that something doesn't exist when there's videos of unarmed people being shot in the back, when there's data that strongly correlates prosecution rates and sentencing duration to race, that's a problem with your willingness to accept it - not a problem with the claim. You've made your politics very clear, but you shouldn't have to be a liberal to think it's not ok to kill or assault unarmed people. ffs. If he didn't botch the saying it's still in extremely poor taste and shows a complete lack of empathy for the situation - void of leadership.

I wonder where they could have possibly gotten that idea? You may believe it to be a divisive one-sided issue, but an extremely large number of the rest of us do not. We believe it to be a massive problem that impacts and affects everyone. It's not a protest that harms or inconveniences anyone except people who have incorrectly applied connotations to it that were never stated or intended. The problem with you folks is that you never took the time to understand what this is all about. Whenever people bring up the fact that these players are millionaires, they announce to everyone that they've completely missed the point. Aside from the fact that yes, some of these players have been victims of police brutality and racial profiling, they're mostly standing up for those that do not have a voice. They are using a platform that they've become fortunate enough to have to speak up for the less fortunate. How on earth is that a bad thing? Would you decry the protests as strongly if they were pro-police? There was an opportunity to resolve this with the league, but then your president decided it would be a good idea to call the players "sons of bitches" at a campaign rally to deflect attention away from his personal problems, so they players stood up for their brothers and joined the protests as a symbol of unity. That's exactly what i want my football team to do.

Anybody else concerned about the Tampa game?

I'm concerned about all the games. -
Lacanfora: Seahawks tried to trade for Glenn
BullBuchanan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unless you get a 1rst+, there's no way you can trade a good starting left tackle. Glenn needs to be back so Dawkins can take Mills job. Our line is terrible right now. -
we need him immediately. This defense could be good enough to carry this offense like the Bears, Bucs, Ravens of years past, but we don't have any special LBs. Bowman fixes that.

Again, how can a switch to Peterman be any worse?
BullBuchanan replied to SaviorPeterman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Houston switched their QB under very similar circumstances - look what happened. -
How do you figure? Taylor threw a pick on his own side of the field and couldn't move the team all day. The Mabin missed pick was meaningless

Good point. How many NFL coaches does it take to realize this guy can't get the job done when it matters?
-
I would pick a current starter or backup NFL QB at random and they win this game today.

I don't really understand how you're getting there. I'd bet Whaley has a job next year maybe GM or maybe director, but his track record is pretty damn solid if all you do is look at the facts. When you toss in the Pegulas mismanagement of both of their franchises, I really think someone will look at it and say his did the best that could have been expected.

What do you want to see tomorrow?
BullBuchanan replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We kind of need Ragland to have a monster game - like a blow your socks off kind of game. If that kid ends up being the stud he was supposed to be, it changes everything moving forward. Not counting on it though. -
Might have something to do with him being publicly undermined by his bosses. Once it was known that Whaley didn't have any power over Marrone/Rex then I wouldn't respect him either. Frankly, I'm ready to have the discussion about whether or not the Pegulas are terrible owners. The Sabres have gone through almost the exact same thing. The fact that they fired Murray before the rebuild came to term speaks volumes to me. I think they're too used to having complete control, even when they don't know the subject matter. If they have a problem with how the team is being run, they should be directing the GM what they expect of them and telling the coaches and players that the GM is king. Otherwise, it destroys all of that person's credibility. The fact that "Coach & GM are finally on the same page" - well they damn well better be. They were promoted off of the same team and given the opportunity of a lifetime. I'd expect they've had plenty of time to talk about how they ensure they don't end up like the rest,
