Barkley. Allen looks good holding that clipboard.

Don’t know how many saw this tweet but it speaks VOLUMES for the level that Tre is playing at.
It's a shame there's a 0% chance that Tre is in the mix because his team has 3 wins. Gotta at least make the playoffs if you want individual honors in the NFL. Selfishly, it probably saves a few million on his next deal though.

I'm not going to work Monday. I don't care that I accepted my salary a year ago. I want more. If I stay out till Thursday with no doctor's note I'll be fired. These spoiled rotten brats piss me off!
Well, it sounds like you probably aren't in the top 3 in the world at what you do, or else they wouldn't risk firing you. Maybe you should focus on improving your skills? I've put the onus on management to pay me more a couple of times in my career. Once they didn't take me seriously and I signed a "free agent deal" elsewhere for max value. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it wrong. In fact, it's very very right. The money exists, and so someone's going to get it. Always look out for #1.

According to NFL.com, the Steelers made one final offer to Bell on Monday, just hours before the NFL's 4 p.m. ET deadline for teams to negotiate a new contract with their franchise player. The offer from the Steelers was worth a total of $70 million over five years (or $14 million per season). Although the offer would have given Bell the largest multi-year contract of any running back in the NFL, he turned it down, and one reason he likely did that, is because it was nowhere near his asking price, which was reportedly in the neighborhood of $17 million per season.......need more info?

The story above is why you don't go into research trying to prove a point, but trying to figure out what the real story is. need more info?12 hours ago, LSHMEAB said:When did this country become so pro-management?
It's kind of creepy really. Good for him.
About halfway through 2015.

I went to games all throughout the drought at the end of hopeless seasons when it was too cold and pointless for other family members to go. It was always a great idea. I don't remember quite a few of them, because those games were all about having a good time. One of those games was against the Jets and I was more excited to see Vinny Testaverde than the Bills.
At least now you could watch some young players with hope, maybe even Allen.

GM/HC - Bill Belichick
OC/ Assistant head coach - Sean McVay

I understand I took the easy way out on this one lol.
In your dream scenario that includes Belichick and McVay, you picked McDermott to be your D coordinator? I just... But why?

All we hear from July to September is about QB reps. Who looks good and who doesn't. Who runs the plays well and knows the offensive system. Preseason is about not getting players hurt and honestly proves nothing for QB's.
It is all so insanely crazy that now we are starting scrap heap QB's (Barkley & Anderson) who weren't in camp, didn't play in preseason and obviously don't know the nuances of our offense.
Is all the coach speak about having an offensive system a smoke screen? Is it all FAKE NEWS from the media that makes millions on the NFL?
Have you ever been tested?

He took a winless team undefeated since he started.

I don't get all the anger towards Bell, especially on this board. If you were a Pittsburgh fan I could understand the frustration.
It's his life, he thinks he's worth more. He's risking it all. Is it jealousy?
I'm thinking it might be something else.

Players demand trades in hockey and baseball too. Why isn't that a problem?

the NFL is not free market capitalism. There is a cap and if you overlay a few guys the rest of your players are not going to be good enough to do any real winning. There is a reason Brady doesn't maximize his earnings , he wants to win and knows that money is needed elsewhere.
Brady has $217 million in career earnings so far. Le'veon bell has $16 million. You couldn't have used a worse example.

I would transition him, sitting out another year will do irreparable damage to his career and his earnings which is what he deserves.
The owners can't let the NFL turn into the NBA were the players run the teams.
good point, hopefully no one gives him what he wants, these players are getting out of control with their demands. This is a team sport and it's hard to have a good team if a few guys are hogging all the money.
their really needs to be a position cap so you are not spending 30 million a year on a QB.
Just now, Buffalo Barbarian said:There is no way in Hell , this regime is going after this clown nor should they. James Connor and most other backs have proven you can find them anywhere. The only player I would go after in this situation is a QB and I still wouldn't feel good about it.
Yea, because they're incompetent. You need game breaking players, and several of them to win in this league. I get it, he's a clown because he's protecting his career. Keep stumping for the owners and maybe they'll give you some table scraps.
What do you think about Bosa quitting school to save himself for the draft?-

The cap keeps going up and it's gotta go to somebody. If you're the best in class at what you do, you should be paid accordingly. Unless theyre going to start reducing ticket/NFL Sunday ticket costs, I don't see the cap falling anytime soon. I think they need to raise the rookie minimum wage so that if you get drafted at all, you have just about enough money for the rest of your life.

I’m sure lots of teams materially improve in one year at 9 starting positions on O all the time
They don't need 9. They need two serviceable, not great guards (maybe 1 if teller works out) 1 WR minimum, and an RB that has explosive ability. If they go into next season with just a 31 year old McCoy, they'll need a lot more receiving help.

The Bowns trotted out this stud lineup in '09:
Brady Quinn (1-2); Derek Anderson (3-6); Ken Dorsey (0-3); Bruce Gradkowski (0-1)
Scary to say they were all better than who we have now, including Anderson. -
If this was a tank, you give Beane a raise. If this is him trying to win, you show him the door. Hopefully this is all just PR nonsense, and there's a wink and a smile behind closed doors. If not, this scares the hell out of me, and there's no way I trust them with signing bloated 5 year deals for next year's version of Trent Murphy. Speaking of, if they don't exercise the year one out they have on that deal this offseason, that tells us all we need to know going into 2019.

Bell has screwed himself royally imo. Is he a top 5 RB? Sure. He has also proven himself to be a selfish, me first type of player. I don't see him being able to cash in like he would have had he just showed up at work, collected his 15 mill, and did his job. Good for Connor though. He's made the most of his opportunity.
Tell that to Earl Thomas.19 minutes ago, brianthomas said:True. But i dont see how he can come out ahead after forfeiting $14 million, plus while hurting his reputation in the process. I mean to make it up say he plays for another 5 years. He'd have to get a salary increase of $3 million each year just to break even. Is any team gonna offer him $18 million per year on a 5-7 year deal? After missing a whole season?
I think he made a mistake personally. Perhaps his agent gave him bad advice idk. Tbh idk too much about the whole affair, but I'm glad he wasn't on our team. Any future GM's will have to thoroughly vet this whole affair before offering him a contract. If i were a gm i'd have a hard time offering tons of guaranteed money, knowing at some point Bell might decide its not good enough. Like i said i'm just glad he wasnt a Bill haha
I hope we go after him hard next year. Assuming JA can figure out how to play football, and we can completely revamp the O-line, and get one legit WR, we'd be serious contenders if our D can stay on par. What's pretty crazy considering how bad the Bills are, is that our window with this current core (White, Hughes, Hyde, Poyer, Edmunds, Milano, JA) is already on a clock. In another 3 years some of these guys will be gone, or their salaries will be so inflated that it's going to cause problems elsewhere. If this staff is at all serious about winning, they need to do whatever they can to put together a run next season. That means loading up with offense that's ready to contribute day 1, not day 2 rookies. -

Looking at Tuhrod's numbers it makes sense why we had to trade him, since it looked like he would not renegotiate again. But damn we paid for not having at least someone serviceable back there.
How much better is this team with a "serviceable" QB? 2 more wins maybe? Still sitting home in January, so there's no point chasing bad draft position.Just now, jahnyc said:He killed my fantasy team this year. Drafted him in the first round (fourth overall) before it became clear that he would not report for the first game of the season. I will never forgive him (not that he cares).

It'll cost them $25.5 million just to make a point. My guess is no. -
Football inside a dome is practically soccer. Give me Lambeau or give me nothing. I'd rather they move the team than play inside a dome.

The head of sales at my company is married to a woman from Rochester and he spends quite a bit of time there. The first time I met him it came up and we talked for about 15 minutes. Professionally, there seems to be something unique and memorable to others about being a Bills fan/from Buffalo. A lot of folks at various companies have called me "Buffalo", but I've never seen it happen with someone from Chicago, San Francisco, or Des Moines. Not sure what it is, but I'll take it.

Oh he's that, whatever that is. The point is that it had no impact on the fortunes of his franchise. They wee no better with a HOF LT. I'm guessing they would have better with the best RB drafted in the past 20 years.
Well i agree on that. I've long believed premier left tackles were ridiculously overrated. What's more is that you line is only as good as it's worst player. It gives you nothing to have the best tackle and center to play the game if your guards are Vlad ducasse and John Miller, so you have to have 5 good ones if you want your line to make up for deficiency elsewhere. It's like when people talk about having a great D. It's pointless to try to win with defense unless you have a top 5 all-time elite defense (seahawks, broncos, Bucs, Ravens, 85 bears etc). It's much more efficient to load your offense with skill talent and create a gameplan that exploits weaknesses of the D that you play.If the Bills want to take O-line at the top of the draft, I'd rather they trade down a couple times and get 3-4 of them in the second round, than 1 at the top.

Quality O-line starter? Hmmm, we heard his entire career that Joe Thomas (drafted instead of Adrian Peterson in a draft LOADED with playmakers) was a HOF LT (hey, why not?), yet nearly every year, the Browns offense sucked and the Joe Thomas anchored O-line was a leader in sacks allowed. And Teller is certainly not even Joe Thomas level lineman.
Are you suggesting Joe Thomas is not a HOF LT?
