  1. Watkins is the ultimate underachiever. A flash in the pan guy who will probably get one more chance to show he can consistently contribute to a team. After this year tho you can definitely put that "journeyman " tag on em.
  2. Ok bud. You're way off tho. Personally, I dont think the Patriots are VERY good of a team. They are a GOOD team cause of their defense. Their offense is in such shambles it almost negates their good/great defense as us Bills fans have experienced many times over. Also please stop misquoting me. I never said "beating the Cowboys wasn't a big deal because the Jets beat the Cowboys" My point has repeatedly been because they are a .500 team and a whopping 0-5 against winning teams. Many fans overrate the Cowboys cause the media talks about them so damn much. They are SUPER AVERAGE. Beating a super average team doesnt prove you are "for real" I hate that my fellow Bills fans bar has dropped so low and we are so ready to eat up any media attention that we can't think logically for ourselves. It was AWESOME to see we arent the same old Bills. AWESOME! But come on man. WE BEAT A .500 TEAM WHO IS WINLESS AGAINST WINNING TEAMS. GEEZ. Great win...DOESNT PROVE WE ARE LEGIT CONTENDERS! Maybe this boils down to us having differing definitions on what "for real" means. I DO BELIEVE WE ARE FOR REAL. But to me in order to PROVE IT, you must BEAT or ALMOST BEAT a team who is also FOR REAL. Patriots ARE NOT FOR REAL! They have the heart of champions and a good/great defense that may prevent them from getting blown out in the playoffs against a team that is REALLY FOR REAL. But come on...they have to be one of the worst 10-2 teams in NFL history.
  3. I AGREE it showed we arent the same old Bills. I AGREE it showed we aren't pushovers. It showed we arent FRAUDS. Unfrotunately that doesnt equate to showing we are FOR REAL. A team isnt either a FRAUD or FOR REAL. There is a gray area. I think that win puts us in that area imo as far as what we PROVED (many thought we were frauds before). I can differentiate between my personal beliefs in the team (that we are for real) and what the team has actually proven (that we are a gray area team)
  4. LOLOL...I remember that. Nope I had $300 on it. I dont usually bet on Bills game so for me thats big enough. I lived in Dallas 8 years and know a lot of folks there who had a lot to say before the game so I had a few put their money where their mouths were. I was confident we would win but didnt think we would dominate like we did I must say. Was one of the best Thanksgivings of my life so far.
  5. *I never said winning convincingly was important. I said we had close wins against terrible teams and losses to bad teams so beating a .500 team that hasnt beaten a winning team all year doesnt negate that and prove anything. *I CLEARLY said playing the Ravens competitively would go further to show we are for real than the Dallas win. Even if we lose a close one. I believe we are for real based off many factors. But that is simply belief. I still dont think we have proven anything yet but that we have a top notch defense. As a whole team we havent proved to be for real. We have a chance to prove that Sunday. Do I believe we are for real? FOR THE LAST TIME: YES I DO. Simply saying the Cowboys game wasnt proof. My last reply on this matter. Beating a dead horse is no fun. I love my Bills and believe we will be a force in the playoffs. Defending my stance on the Cowboys win feels anti-Bills by the wrong way some of you are receiving it so Im done
  6. There is a difference between a GEAT WIN and one that shows you are for real. Im sorry but there is no way beating a team that has yet to beat a winning team all year shows you are "for real." Despite what you say, the Cowboys are not a good team. They are average. Half their losses are at home. 0-5 against winning teams. You call that "good" ?? Lets just agree to disagree.
  7. I agree we are for real and I expect us to be very competitive on Sunday. Like I said before, a 3 point loss to the Ravens would show we are "for real" much more than the 11 point win against a .500 team in the WORST division in football.
  8. I do think we are for real. Only point Im making is beating the Cowboys doesnt prove this. What is so hard to understand about that concept? Most of the NFL thought we were FRAUDS and thats the only reason why they are overreacting to this game. I had BIG MONEY on that Cowboys game. I FULLY expected to win. So once that happened, I felt great, we did it on a big stage, we won convincingly on the road. I was happy as the next fan. BUT THE JETS BEAT THIS SAME TEAM. Again, the one and only point Im making is beating the Cowboys doesnt prove we are legit title contenders. Thats what FOR REAL means to me. It means we can go in and have a legit chance to beat any team on any given Sunday (not in the sense ANY team can beat ANY team but a real LEGIT chance not some flukey crap)
  9. Where did I say I don't think we are for real? I said that beating a .500 team that is 0-5 against teams with winning records doesnt prove we are for real. The NFL is overreacting to the win because they have no belief in us. I hold us to a HIGHER STANDARD because I do believe! The Cowboys was a team we were SUPPOSED to beat. I would have hated to go in there 8-3 and be the FIRST winning team they beat all year. The Cowboys game wasnt a litmus test for being for real. This Ravens game IS. They are in OUR HOUSE and we MUST be competitive to be "FOR REAL" Maybe we just differ on what "FOR REAL" means. To me it means a LEGIT CONTENDER. I will say it AGAIN: Beating the mediocre Cowboys DOES NOT make us legit contenders. NOT SAYING WE ARENT. Just saying that win kept the scales even. We still have 2 losses to what appears to be pretty bad teams. We had ALOT of very close games against some terrible teams. We also have gotten better and did beat the Cowboys convincingly. THE RAVENS GAME IS THE REAL TEST. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
  10. Im sorry but I still dont see how beating the Cowboys means we are for real. Cowboys are a .500 team that are 0-5 against winning teams. It was a GOOD WIN on the road as all are but IMO it does not mean we are for real. I wanna believe we are SO BAD. Losing to the Browns and Eagles still leave a bad taste in my mouth. IMO, playing competitively against the Ravens (even if we lose by a possession) would show me we are for real. The Cowboys are simply not that good of a team and besides the big stage, I fail to see what was so meaningful about the win, in terms of how for real we are or not.
  11. Or set it for a 2 second delay and really **** em up!
  12. You dont live in reality. At BEST he saw him begin his throwing motion. QBs pump fake all the time. As a defender coming in you dont pull up in that situation cause its totally LEGAL to hit a QB if the throw the ball right before you get there. There is a stat called QB HITS. You ever heard of that? It's not a LATE HIT. Did you not know that QBs can legally get hit after they throw when its a split second later? Imagine if Garrett let go of Rudolph ASSUMING (cause he did NOT see it) that he actually threw the ball but in reality it was a pump fake. He misses out on a sack and Rudolph can still make a play making Garrett look foolish at the same time. Cause its the end of the game means nothing. Steelers elected to keep playing. What Garrett did was a 100% clean football play. Rudolph getting upset and attempting to rip his helmet off was not and CLEARLY what started the fight. THATS THE ONLY POINT IM MAKING. Two things can be true. A guy can start a fight and the other guy overreact and use excessive force. Because the second party uses excessive force, does not somehow rewrite history and mean the other guy didnt start it.
  13. Hap...Maybe you can explain to me why so many people think this was such an egregious "late hit" by Garrett. The point where the ball comes out is on the side of Garrets helmet where he cant see the ball. He gets there probably 1/10 of a second (IF THAT LONG!) after the ball comes out. The way he had Rudolph wrapped up he could have picked him up and power drived him into the turf if he wanted to. Instead he simply pulls him down on top of him. Literally the softest way you can tackle a QB. Video clearly shows exactly what Im describing below: My only conclusion is that because this ends with Garrett whopping him with his own helmet, these people see his initial hit waaaay worse than what happened in reality. In my estimation, Rudolph only acted like he did out of pure frustration of his poor play. Things get chippy at the end of games all the time if guys feel like the winning team is still playing too hard. Regardless, what we see above from Garrett is not him starting a fight. What a ridiculous assessment.
  14. With this arrest he will be facing a 6 game suspension if he were at ever going to return to the NFL. That puts him squarely in the "more trouble than he's worth" category.
  15. Are they still doing that weird 20 member induction thingy?
  16. Last spring? He just got cut by the Jags in September. He was still getting workouts after that. As I already stated he was likely done anyway but this seals it.
  17. I'm referring to his career. With the domestic dispute arrest no team will even give him another look. This effectively ends his career.
  18. His career was probably already over bit now it's DEFINITELY over. I got to hang out with him, his brother and some of their friends at the condo they rented last Superbowl weekend. Pretty cool dude. Hate to see him go out like this...
  19. Are we talking about who started the fight or who was more wrong in the fight? Garret clearly went overboard by hitting him with the helmet. WAY overboard and deserved what he got. Rudolph only deserved a fine like he got. But none of that changes the fact of who started it. If I'm in a long line at the amusement park and some a-hole comes up and skips me, and I decide to punch him in the mouth, I STARTED THE FIGHT. Based on your logic you would say the other guy started the fight for skipping me.
  20. Ummm...unless Garrett can see out his ear hole you can't say he knew the ball was out of Rudolph's hands. No whistle was blown. No flag thrown. He didn't slam or drive him into the ground. He actually pulled Rudolph down on top of him. He was going for the sack title this year. What he did was a FOOTBALL PLAY. Rudolph getting upset and trying to rip off Garrett's helmet was the FIRST of the non football illegal actions that snowballed from there. That's how you can unequivocally say Rudolph started the fight.
  21. More evidence this guy is out of his league. An NFL HC simply can't make such pathetic decisions. Apparently his daughters bought it for him as a joke but him deciding to wear it in public, even taking pictures with fans wearing it was a total bone headed move. The makers of the shirt got ahold of the pic and used it for an advertising post ??‍♂️ How embarrassing for the Browns organization. https://es.pn/2LnTnX1
  22. The thread title makes it sound as if they are naming 100 defensive linemen to the list. Most know what you mean but IJS. He has actually been named top 7 DE of all time which more accurately describes the accomplishment.
  23. I see nothing wrong with holding a professional to a higher standard in public than you hold yourself around family and friends. With that said, I'm all for trash talk AS LONG AS YOU CAN BACK IT UP. The thing about trash talk is it writes a check you have to keep cashing. After all that trash talk our team did, we HAVE to show up for every game. Do we necessarily have to beat the Ravens? No, but we BETTER be competitive and make a game of it. I'm hoping this makes every player go even harder in every aspect including preparation and especially on the field. If we are gonna talk it we have to be it. Not just against the .500 and worse teams which at the end of the day, the Cowboys are.
  24. I thought the same thing. Issue is the game wasn't in control yet and that would garnered a 15 yd hanky. Had that happened in the 4th with the game in hand I would been all for it. Simply cause it's against his old team and they allow Zeek to do it.
