THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - And, We're Off!
Governor replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the time, it looked to me like Allen was holding his ankle after a sack. Then he was holding it once again a few plays later. I wonder if that played a part in his end of game attitude. Maybe he hurt. -
Mandated Masks AND a loin cloth on the outside of your pants. Well, Trumpism loses badly again. This has got to be a bit worrying now. Who can step in and stop these crazy people from running? They aren’t electable. Doesn’t look like McCarthy will/can do it. Mitch will/can to some extent in the senate. Mitch did say that he will be finding the most electable candidates to run. That was a shot at Trump. Those internal party battles should be interesting.

I think that’s hepatitis B. -

Well, you can’t catch those other things like Covid. I think hepatitis is blood to blood, and HIV……. But those people are actually registered by the state as having those diseases. You get put on a list like a sex offender. It happened to an old classmate of mine. -

You can actually be sued or face charges if you have hepatitis and get dental work, hide it from a partner, etc. They even make you register with the state, just like a Covid vaccine. -

Oh yeah. I forgot they were both open air. I’m expecting MetLife to move here soon. Summer Phish tour was real bad. They were forced to require it towards the end, even in the outdoor amphitheaters. I know like a dozen people that went and they ALL came home with Covid. Glad I sat this one out. -

And you’ll never work again with a felony conviction. -

MetLife doesn’t require a vaccine and Buffalo does. Thats because you’re a Marxist! -

You talking about Monmouth beach? It was closed because NYC needles were washing up on the beach. Stay away from that beach area. Bad news. -

It's Time to Mandate Vaccines
Governor replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
They can safely take the vaccine. My FIL just passed from cancer and his 48 year old son also has cancer and just started chemo, and both were told to get the vaccine. Doctors were just being cautious. Now that it’s mandated, their doctors will tell them to go ahead and get it. There’s zero risk. -

Not for long. Apps are being rolled out that verify identity kinda like ID.me and gets your photo, checks the database, etc. -

They already have that worked out. There’s an app that you download and then you upload your vaccine card AND a photo of yourself, they verify it beforehand, THEN you show it on your phone at the gate. So, it’s a felony that also has your face/photo attached to it. -

Sweet. I might actually go now. -

There’s no such thing anymore unless they’re doing chemo. Lupus and other autoimmune issues got the “all clear” to be vaccinated. The number who still can’t get it is close to 0. It just simply isn’t true at this juncture. -

I will never live in a world that behaves that way. Lol. Look at what society has done to you. This is Irv’s fault. What A Mess -

It’s a trick. Gen Z has been hoarding wealth since 2010. You probably know a few. These people “lease” iPhones for the family, a car for each kid. They’re also the ones that don’t let their kids outside in fear that someone will kidnap them. They have “play dates.” They text their children all day long and talk to them like they’re adults. I blame Disney Channel for most of this. -

People view all of these material items as “necessities” now. I didn’t have a 400/month car payment, 125/month phone bill, streaming services, Xbox, etc. I either found a pay phone and called my mom, or I was walking my ass home. Somehow, consumerism tricked everyone into thinking they “need” these things. -

Yeah, I get all of that, but as a boomer, you’re missing what really happened, which has led to the feeling of dread that I think you mentioned earlier. Around 2000…..(lol) W let a bunch of private schools prey on our military and most desperate. These folks were promised the world and took out high interest private loans to attend schools that are now out of business or lost accreditation along the way. These are the loans being forgiven by Biden as we speak. These fly-by-night colleges all disappeared. Those degrees are worth less than an OJ Simpson rookie card. It gets worse than that. State universities started offering degrees in totally ridiculous fields like social media marketing, fashion design, animation, etc. and a whole host of others. Its no wonder kids don’t want to attend college. It’s been a total scam for 20 years. I have no issues with people going back to trades. It’s recession proof. -

Yeah, you’re right. I wasn’t finished with the timeline yet. Around 2000…… I’ll circle back to you main topic momentarily. -

There hasn’t been a middle class since the 80’s. You mean poverty. Middle-class is now a household income of at least 125k/year. Anyone coming in less than that is lower middle-class regardless of state lived. And that isn’t just because of inflation either. There’s been decades of union-busting and “right to work” that eliminated the once healthy middle-class. Its been a race to the bottom since 1990 or so. Women of course took that on the chin until recently where businesses started hiring more women at a cheaper rate, which then led to Trumpism and white male grievance. -

That’s down there in Trump country too. Down by Philly. Those folks don’t have any teeth left. -

I’m pretty sure Trump won Warren, Sussex, and numerous others. Those are the north-west “hill people.” He took others in south Jersey also. Down there by Philly and the beach. “Horse country” as we call it. -

“Rising” doesn’t mean anything. Delta was here 6 months ago. Everyone is vaccinated here. I think you’re mistakenly thinking this is NYC. You’re not going to get a Florida type debacle here in the fall. For one, it doesn’t actually get cold here anymore until mid-January. So, it there was a problem, it would be a spring problem. This ain’t Hartford.
