OD’s don’t really need care. They narcan you at the scene. They just like to hold you for an hour so you don’t run across the street and get high again. They’d be way down the list in this situation.

It’s about to. Some argue that unvaccinated Covid patients should get the highest priority since they’re likely to die, but I guess doctors and administrators have had enough and are coming down the other way on it. It might not be every hospital, but it will probably become the norm here soon. When there’s only 2 beds, it obviously isn’t fair to give it to unvaccinated idiots if others need them.

Being unvaccinated with Covid knocks you a few pegs down the priority list. My doctor told me that today. They’re still working out the specifics.

It’s a pretty pointless conversation because hospitals are going Triad here shortly which puts the unvaccinated to the back of the line if they’re busy.

Early in the pandemic, anti-maskers said we should just stay home if we didn’t like what was happening out there. Now, it’s anti-Vaxers turn to stay home. They have the right to not get the shot, but they can’t come outside or clog up the hospitals, or work, or send kids to school, or shop, or fly.

I wouldn’t pretend to know the legality behind all of it. Maybe CommieKay would know more. Personally, I would wipe 50k from everyone’s Fed loans to stimulate the economy and allow people to put the private ones into bankruptcy. What I do know is that private (for-profit) colleges were using extremely predatory tactics going back to Bush in 2000, recruiting from military bases, making promises to poor people feeling trapped, etc. My gf used to work at ITT as a recruiter. She lasted about 6 months. She couldn’t sleep at night. ITT no longer exists. Those degrees are toilet paper. Theres dozens of other colleges that did the same thing.
