  1. Chop block wasn’t always illegal. Not nearly as bad a move as a blindside hit on a kicker sorry.
  2. I’ve always liked reading Sal Maiorana’s columns, articles and listening to his segments as a guest on WGR over the years. I think he’s a real pro, and pretty much tells it like it is. If the OP read his stuff after the Bills wins over the Jets and Jaguars, he’d probably find them very complementary overall. As I stated, Sal doesn’t sugar coat things. The Bills loss to the Jets was ugly in many ways and the team took a step back instead of building on their wins and even a tough loss at Miami that they nearly pulled off. Sports columnists aren’t always going to paint the rosiest of pictures or say it’s sunshine and rainbows in a torrential downpour. Nor should they. While Jerry’s column got very predictable and depressing he was closer to right than wrong most times. Would anyone want John Murphy to write a wrap up of a Bills game or a column for that matter ?
  3. This is a good description. I’d still take the Ravens defense or the Bears if I needed to stop a high powered efficient offense. What would the Bills defense do vs the Rams ? How would they perform against the Saints ? I think the Bills defense could be better , but Frazier at times holds them back with his ultra conservative game plans.
  4. Not really. Their main concern is time to completion. OT games take too long.
  5. Rams can’t get out of their own way. Goff looks like he’s reverted to his rookie season.
  6. Bears D has been excellent. The games it can win are fewer and farther between due to the rules. As good as CHI defense has been though, it looks like the LA Rams might be a team of hothouse flowers. They look out of sorts in the cold.
  7. Given what we’re used to seeing from him, Goff looks much worse tonight than Mitchell.
  8. Yeah, I think it’s been the same person doing this for many years, but not sure. Some of the choices are out there but it makes you think for a second and then usually good for a chuckle.
  9. Yeah, I kind of see Allen as a better more athletic Trubisky. Allen is a better athlete than Mitch, but they are both better runners than passers at this point. That’s concerning seeing Trubisky is 3/4 of the way thru year two.
  10. Lol love the guy that does the music choices on SNF before it goes to commercial. After teams trade INTs , he throws “ round and round” by Ratt in there....clever stuff
  11. I thought he may have fumbled. It was close and not sure if the booth looked at it in NY or not.
  12. All the more reason to get some good WRs in here. The current WRs have an undeniable problem of dropping perfectly catchable passes. UDFA
  13. Does it ? The Browns have a much more talented roster than the Bills.
  14. Or if they adjusted the rules back to some sense of fairness for the defenses. It’s really pathetic to see sometimes. Ruining a game that was once the greatest. Tell that to the rules committee.
  15. Agreed that it’s a sign of competence then. Don’t be so certain, Ryan. Many Bills fans like playing for the draft pick, at least many on this board.
  16. The Bills won’t be drafting a QB in 2019, nor should they. Certainly not in the first round. If they’re unsure of Barkley as a backup, maybe you draft a guy in the middle rounds. The poll itself is useless as it’s not a realistic scenario.
  17. Risk reward like all decisions that OCs make.
  18. Wow the turf monster gets the best of the Steelers after a genius play to set up the FG. Maybe a blessing in disguise with BAL losing as well. The Steelers absolutely need to beat the Pats* next week to stay in their division race. Looks like a wildcard is slipping out of their grasp. They’ve been snakebit, but it’s the toughest game remaining on the Patsies schedule. It didn’t end up mattering at all with the genius play to JuJu. The kicker slipped so pure luck for the Raiders.
  19. This is true. If it continues with improved personnel , McD and Beane will be gone as well as Allen and a new QB will be drafted. As fans we don’t control this. We’ll just have to see what happens. The Bills are going nowhere with the offense as it’s currently constructed.
  20. The officials are trying to show they are not biased by allowing cheap shots on a white running QB as well as Cam Newton.
  21. Maybe. The routes might be run in garbage fashion though. Either way, Allen would probably throw a lot more INTs if he let those throws go.
  22. Yes, Allen suffered an injury earlier this season....while in the pocket. He may have looked bloodied and beaten according to Rodak, but that was due to numerous cheap shots and late hits. Most of which went unnoticed by the stellar officiating crew.
  23. The stat just shows that he isn’t throwing it. Doesn’t reveal why. My guess is it’s multiple factors at work, but the all 22 would show this.
  24. Mayfield was my favorite draftable QB all year last year and that hasn’t changed. Would love for him to have been a Bill.
