    West to East and a 1 PM game ( conveniently for NE) is pretty much the death knell for west coast teams.

    Agreed. I laugh when his name comes up in HOF discussions. Always comes up small in biggest moments, and that hasn’t changed as we can see.

    Poor clock management in the final 2:00 and terrible tackling vs Giants offense lost that SB. Had nothing to do with BBs side of the ball. Bills scored almost a point per minute of possession, but the D let them down that day.

    Yes, they followed the Ravens blueprint. Still works, not many try it.

    Many Pats* players have held visibly on D the part of the game where I was still watching. Enough to know it was time to shut it off

    Yep, have to call it the same for both teams. I’m fine with less ref involvement, as long as that stance is maintained evenly throughout the contest. Sadly, this rarely happens when NE is involved, and you can tell how it will be by checking which Ref is assigned the game. Only a few good ones left after the retirements.

    I would hope not. He was better playcaller than Roman, but he knows squat about defense and what it takes to harass NE. There is a well established blueprint that even fans of the game understand must be executed. The crazy thing is, more than one person on that staff thought this gameplan was a good idea.

    Right. Seriously the best thing B.B. has done is left the offense alone. There’s a reason McDaniels is still there, the O wouldn’t be the same without him.

    Very very true. 3-5 on the road and the offense is good, not great. Defense is OK but gets away with far more than others.

    I thought they did too. As for us Bills fans, we’ve never played in a signicant game against the TB led Pats*.

    I hope the Pats aren’t there, but in that hypothetical I don’t think the Rams would win. The Saints, yes maybe even the Eagles as they’ve done it before. Hopefully the Chiefs avenge their last second loss to NE.

    .500 coach before TB. They don’t dominate on D anymore, they just don’t get flags thrown when they hold.

    Nah. More McDaniels than Belichick really. That team hasn’t won on defense in about 15 years. B.B. threw the kitchen sink at the Chiefs earlier this year and didn’t even slow them down. It’s more the lack of getting offensive holding calls and defensive PI, holding when they are blatantly occurring all over the field. Every other team in the league gets flags on these plays.

    Not one thing that has happened out there thus far has anything to do with the temperature.

    It’s the latter. This offense would be struggling vs say the Ravens style D. However, Lamar Jackson would have fumbled 5 times already, so they’d still lose.

    I do. At least when certain Refs are assigned the game. Torbor isn’t one of them

    Not nearly as much. This would be a one score game at best if say, Bills Vinovich or Corrente’s crew was doing the game. Torbor? Might as well be John Parry, the next worst offender. I miss Steratore already and even Hochuli’s crew would call holding / PI vs NE
