HOU hosts AFC title game. Go figure

More like Pats* ies
-
Chiefs at Arrowhead is like a curse
-
Give him a top TE, and Tyreek Hill etc. maybe not 50 but more than enough.
-
Yep. They’ve improved this year, but still lots of holes. Baby swiss
-
Feels like the Texans might put this out of reach early.
-
Yet the Pats never reached the SB without a bye. Depends on the team I guess.
-
It seems what qualifies as a “ drop” depends on which QB threw the slightly off target pass. Fake News !!!
-
Again, imagine if Allen threw that pass behind the receiver. Nonstop talk about accuracy, placement etc

My Sleeper Team for the Super Bowl ! Touchdown Titans !!

Don’t think you can call them a “ sleeper” anymore. -
So now what team are you rooting for?

Tennessee Titans. While I’ll never fully get over the Music City lateral, I love seeing other teams fans dreams get crushed. I love seeing media hype machine proven wrong. That can only happen when the underdogs win. -
He did, but it’s still mind boggling that they left him one on one or even unblocked one time. No one else on that line really scared anyone.
-
When you have a high pick, you’ve got to do your due diligence. People’s livelihoods are on the line, not like a bunch of self proclaimed geniuses on a fan message board.
-
Lazy take by hype media with their agenda on the “ chosen” young QBs.

I think the Chiefs are a better team than the Texans and should prevail, at least on paper. If the Chiefs have their typical flat home playoff game all bets are off. Watson can make a crazy play or two that wins it if they keep it close.

The Bills offense wasn’t good enough, and it was their undoing in the playoffs. That’s how it goes. They need a few more players, and that was fully on display. They would probably lose to the Chiefs and the Titans in their current form. You don’t suddenly become a better team in January. They couldn’t get past the Texans, even with a 16 point lead. If they had a better WR, they probably score more than one TD in that game. If they have a Derrick Henry, than can close game out. So really, it’s pointless thinking about the what ifs when the Bills flaws were obvious.

Titans used Bills defense as blueprint to stop Ravens
Boatdrinks replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mentioned this in the game thread last night. It shouldn’t be a surprise; it’s still a copycat league. The talking heads on ESPN game the Bills D zero credit. They were more concerned with the Bills failed 4th down pass attempt to tie the game late. Coaches and players took note, however. National media was too busy crowning the MVP to point out his flaws. -
Browns hire Kevin Stefanski as HC; Andrew Berry as GM

Cue the whining from the talking heads about the lack of diversity in HC hires. -
Total dill hole.

Empty yards don’t mean much. Ravens had all of 6 points in about 3 quarters. Much of that yardage came late in the game. Turnovers are huge, especially when the lead to opponents TDs. -
And that’s the issue in a capsule, as many have brought up before. Logan Ryan’s comments postgame ( tweeted by Ty Dunne no link but it’s out there ) were revealing in that regard. He essentially said the Bills D did a good job vs Ravens but their Offense didn’t score much ( sound familiar?). They were going to stack the box to get him out of the run game and make him beat them with throws to the outside or play quarters . It sounded a lot like “ we’re going to make him be a QB” in so many words.

Current NFL Coaching Tree - Belicheck and Reid
Boatdrinks replied to JGMcD2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d love for him to leave New England as I think he’s very good and a part of Brady’s success. However, I also think your point is shared by some in the league and that will limit his options to go elsewhere. -
Some of it is likely a bit of a response to the unbridled criticism and downright ridicule of Allen by talking heads on ESPN et al. It’s not insecurity, but rather a call for some objectivity and fairness by the hype train. It gets a little tiresome as a Bills fan sometimes. However , a peek at the Baltimore sun following tonight’s game is revealing. Sportswriters have commented on being “outcoached”, and “ Jackson’s weakness as a passer being exposed” decrying his lack of arm strength on passes outside the numbers. The grass isn’t always greener, and I’m fine with the guy the Bills have. At least for now. As Glanville famously stated, the NFL means “ Not For Long”. Edit: fwiw Tyler Dunne tweeted that Logan Ryan mentioned copying Bills game plan vs Jackson in postgame interview. Copycat league for sure. Curious that none of the National media guys gave the Bills D much credit at the time or after. Jackson and Ravens had few yards but got one huge cheap TD. They focused more on Allen and the failed 4th down pass. Seems that NFL players know what time it is , though.

Don’t care, fake news. Both lost their first NFL playoff game of the season ( 2nd career for Jackson ). He didn’t look great tonight when it counted most. I’d be very disappointed if I was a BAL fan, because they were huge favorites. Not sure if either will ever be a great NFL QB. Jackson had a great season, but so have many others who never did much else. I’m pretty comfortable with the Bills and Allen going forward. I have concerns, but there are a lot of concerned Ravens fans out there right now.

No, they were fine. He never had the ability to play QB in the NFL at a starters level. He’s already retired, and never started again.
