Worried About the Scout Vacancies- Big Hole!
Bill_with_it replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So the next answer Im going to provide, is do you 100% believe this decision was made in a vaccum without outside guidance? I keep saying just because the random fan isnt saturated in the decision making process doesnt mean it lacked rational intelligent NFL thought (nfl advisory committee) or mean that it will lack effectiveness. Marrones contract included a clause before Pegulas owned the team.Whaley wasnt good at his job nor was Rex. The process wasnt flawed. -

You seemed to be confused; thinking that a) they need fired employees backOr B) they mistakenly fired someone that they intended to keep Its more likely you didn't want to see some of these people fired. Thats fine. However, your opinion doesnt mean that Terry and Kim wanted to keep any of the people they fired. To the contrary, these people are wealthy buisness owners, they know exactly who they intended to fire and did just that. You are making a rather large commotion about nothing. I didn't miss that at all. They are the owners of the team. They can and will make any decisions that they wish.Just because the fans werent saturated with the thought process or privy as to why doesnt make it less of an intelligent decision that will payoff in the longrun. -
Bills Hiring Joe Schoen as Asst. GM
Bill_with_it replied to Wayne Cubed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No we need to be extremely worried. Terry and Kim will never find those 17 people. Hurry go out and get some of the guys that Terry and Kim fired. You know the ones that werent producing to Terry and Kims standards. -

You fail to understand the situation, yet I am very suprised as to how. First you admit "they had control over who stayed and who went". Yet you are still in confusion as if these people were still wanted at OBS. If they were wanted as employees they would be here. Its very clear by their release they were not wanted as employees. Most employers dont fire employees that they want to keep. -

You cant say there was no upside. You have zero knowledge of what Monos was doing or any of the scouts for that matter. Collectively they were not meeting Terry Pegulas expectations (the only ones that matter) and collectively they were let go. -

You are making an assumption that they wanted Monos. If they wanted Monos he would still be a Bill. -

NFLPA to focus on marijuana for therapeutic reason

Dude read it. I have said repeatedly I dont agree with it. I have no double standard. You have no argument with me. You have an argument with the league and state federal laws. I havent typed nor will you see me type one is better than the other. Any substance that alters ones ability on the field that either positive or negative puts other people at danger. -
NFLPA to focus on marijuana for therapeutic reason
Bill_with_it replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have already explained it clearly multiple times. Read the thread promo before you post, I dont condone any substance that a player uses that will alter his ability and put others in jeopardy. There is no double standard. Players cant stop smoking marijuana with their careers on the line, lifetime bans, and millions of dollars of cash but they are gojng to refrain from being under the influence of it during game time??? Sounds like a teenagers promise... -
Great perspective

This is the one thing that Whaley said or did that I personally agreed 100% with: "This is the game of football," the Bills' boss told WGR 550 radio. "Injuries are part of it. It's a violent game that I personally don't think humans are supposed to play."

I personally love it. Theres something to be said about attention to detail, communication, and a great work ethic. Those things coupled with passion and you have unlimited potential.

NFLPA to focus on marijuana for therapeutic reason

Dude you keep bringin up alcohol and pills. You are the one that first brought it up. I repeatedly tell you I dont condone those. If thats your argument uou should stop, because Im not arguing that pills or alcohol are better. There is no double standard. I stated I am against anything that pits the players in needless jeopardy. If thats a player self medicating on anything or abusing any substance I am against it. Please, please, pretty please read it slowly if needed. Go back and start from the beginning if need be, heck read your last post where you said that I stated if its treebark it shouldnt be allowed. There is no double standard. ANYTHING THAT PUTS ANOTHER TEAMMATE NEEDLESSLY IN A POSITION TO GET INJURED BY ANOTHER TEAMATE WHETHER SMOKED, EATEN, DRANK, IV ADMINISTERED, OR RECTAL INSERTED shouldnt be allowed in thise players system while they are playing. I cant be anymore clearer than that. And some people have served in the capacity if substance abuse counselor and seen firsthand the toll marijuana or any substance can have on a career, family, and finances.... -
That would be optimum, and likely a first for the bills in quite some time!!!

Perfect response!

Right so you dont like mike argument and you choose to find two of the highest paid players at their position to pop for substance abuse. Thats a lazy comparison. On e again i havent condone the use of other drugs or alcohol. You keep bringing that up as if it serves ANY purpose. It doesnt. I can only assume you are referring to my posts as funny. Thats fine. 1. I never stated they would be stoned. Do you have to be stoned to be impaired enough to where your reflexes arent capable from stopping a world class athelete from destroying your team mate?2.) Some of these guys cant pass a urinalysis which they know months in advance is going to occur yet millions of dollars and their career on the line, yet they wont partake of it before a game? Its not realistic. -
I keep reading this from the owners: "with his detailed approach will help build a foundation for sustained success. Whaley must have been one of the most haphazard, unorganized people. This is twice now I have heard one if the reasons for the recent hirings as being detail oriented. I am truthfully temendously happy that one of the focuses of the search includes a requirement of being detailed.

Well if they wont refrain from using it to feed their faimily but they are going to refrain from using it because they are in a game. Read that aloud and realize how incredibly short sighted it is. -

They are using it now popping right and left on urine tests and cant refrain from doing it with millions of dollars and a lifetime ban on the line, but I am wrong. You can have fun arguing with yourself. -

Please tell me how that my stance is players are disciplined enough to refrain from pills and alcohol. I have not and will not condone it. Stop putting words in my mouth and reqd what I posted. You can have that argument with someone else who is actually saying that players are more disciplined from alcohol and pill ise. What i have said and will continue to say, is that in a violent sport where very large men run at speeds upwards of 20 mph with minimal protection there is no need to expose them to unnecessary physical damage in way of self medicated in any form to include marijuana. Further, as such imagine your 100 mil qb getting exposed to this and it being proved that it was through fault of another player using marijuana or any substance for that matter. Please if you want to have a conversation stick to what I have said and to what you want me to say. I havent and will not condone the use of those other substances for uses other than intended. -

Can you show me where I condone the abuse of alcohol? I never once brought it up because, a) I feel the same way, b) this thread is about marijuana, c) alcohol is currently legal, d) nflpa isnt gearing up for a alcohol therapuetic reason. I really could careless if its chewing on the bark of a tree. If it willingly unnecessarily puts another teamate in harms way it shouldnt be allowed.
