  1. From what I've read here he's a very good teacher. Assuming you'll have a young QB that's very important.
  2. So many here asking what his philosophy will be etc. Well, no one was involved in his interviews, but I imagine he was asked those questions by McD. We'll see more as he gets here is interviewed, starts coaching etc. but seems like he's respected by many and has a rep as a really good teacher. Sounds promising. Whining does not equal debating.
  3. I thought it would be McCoy. But now you have a guy that's a little younger, maybe hungry to establish himself after working with some talent challenged franchises. Sounds like a very good teacher. Excited to see what he brings to the table.
  4. So happy Jim got the chance to walk his daughter down the aisle.
  5. Young. Hungry. Innovative. Be interesting to see what he brings.
  6. That would be never unless you want to say Jerry Rice never played in the league.
  7. Basically those who don't want him are saying there's a better option in the draft, right? I don't really see one. Darnold is inconsistent and throws picks. Rosen injury and personality issues. Mayfield size. Jackson arm especially accuracy. Rudolph has only played in a spread and also accuracy issues. Rookies are about potential and at least 50% of these guys won't pan out. Cousins has shown he can play at a pretty high level in the league. He's not a Brady or Cousins, but the likelihood of anybguys getting drafted being so is minimal at best. Don't let the hope of great stop the pursuit of good.
  8. I'll amend. Drinking OK. Blitzed to the point where you make no sense? No.
  9. I'll take Cookie out and put Tasker in.
  10. Having seen them all, in order: OJ Bruce Jimbo Thurman Andre Sestak Shaw Cookie Joe D Jerry Butler
  11. Here's what I know. Shouldn't compose posts when you've been drinking
  12. Really? I mentioned earlier go read the recent article about him in SI. He is all about process. One can easily see how he and McD would be a perfect fit.
  13. Let them figure it out then take any appropriate action. The guy playing right next to him said he heard nothing.
  14. Interesting input. Folks tend to forget it takes an entire team and not just a QB.
  15. Shady with Cadet behind him is good for another year or so
  16. Get over yourself. We are talking about what we would want, not that it is a given.
  17. Yes, we all understand it is not a given. Get over yourself.
  18. Completely agree with Shaw on this. Think through it. Another post today talks about a 50% probability of finding a guy if you pick high in the first round. To get there you'd have to give up a ton of picks that could be used elsewhere. Cousins is a top ten guy. Some here say he's not a franchise QB. To which I say: define the term. Ten people will give you at minimum ten different definitions of what franchise QB means. Some say he'll cost too much against the cap. To which I say: every good QB does. It's the nature of the position, and how the league works. Doesn't necessarily make it right but it is what it is. Some say he won't sign with us vs. teams like Denver or Cleveland. To which I say: read the recent SI article about him. He is all about process, as is our HC, and we are a playoff team that needs more in offense to continue improvement. It is easy to see him fitting in perfectly with our organization. is he a Brady? No. A Rogers? No. But he's a good solid QB. Don't let the aura of great be the enemy of good.
  19. Because you are a liar and violate the rules, spirit, and intention of the site. That should not be allowed.
  20. Mods please. Enough. People should not be allowed to repeatedly soil the board by claiming sources that din't exist and claiming special insight they don't have and lying about facts they don't possess.
