Why can’t we compare a young Brees to Allen? Why can’t we say that it took Cousins a while to get to this signature win? Because you say so? To bail on a second year QB that got your teamnto the playoffs, to assume he can’t improve, is ridiculous.

Bees threw a pick into double coverage. The Saints star CB, Lattimore, just got burned for 43 yards. People expecting the Bills to be perfect should watch other games with other teams.

If I were McD (or Terry perhaps). I would ask a veteran coach whose opinion I respect to review my in game decisions over this past season. Review play calls as well. And give me unvarnished opinions on whether and where I need to be more or less aggressive.

What did I write? Did I not write that the two things he did that cost us were the fumble and that he should have thrown it away on the grounding play? Did I not write that?

And again the throw to DiMarco should have been caught; he had position and mistimed his jump. And again the lateral while dumb had no impact on the outcome of the game. And again there were no pick sixes at all, so why you would include that is mind numbingly silly. And again the intentional grounding was not much different than taking the sack. Allen made two plays that directly impacted the win: the fumble that gave them three points, and on the grounding thing he should have just thrown it away (although I think there were two penalties called that play so if correct that would not have mattered anyway). He has to protect the ball better when he runs. Needs to continue getting better at pre-snap reads and such. All valid. But you just keep continuing your little trip in Fantasyland.

He improved from year one to year two. Why would we expect he won’t improve from year two to year three?

So he should make the throws and the catches and the blocks and the runs in your world.

Watson has two years of failure before winning his first game yesterday. Allen will hopefully learn from this and be better in the playoffs next year. Both have long futures in the league.

What does it mean? It means they scored 19 points in a row. If it had been say 18 guess who wins? And Allen has one turnover. The fumble. Which hurt. Like Brown not getting his feet in hurt. Like Duke not holding on in the end zone hurt. And more.

The intentional grounding did not cost the game. He should have thrown it away earlier but from where the sack was we were out of FG range anyway. Plus there was second penalty called I believe? The throw to DiMarco? He had position and if he times the jump a fraction later it’s a completion. That is on Allen? Please. The one thing he did that truly cost was the fumble. He can’t fumble there. The lateral was silly but cost nothing. The almost picks didn’t either; we had some almost picks too. He made some great plays and a few bad ones. He did not lose the game, indeed got them into OT and had them in position to win in OT. Could he have done more? Sure, you always can. But when one player accounts for over 80% of your offense that’s pretty crazy.

There just wasn’t anyone open so throw it downfield and hope he makes a play. He doesn’t it’s like a punt anyway. He jumps a fraction of a second later it’s a completion. So I don’t see why it should be criticized so heavily.
