We have Motor, Moss, Breida, and Williams. We are fine at RB. -
It is not the same thing. Not even close. Biden acted in his capacity as Vice President, representing not only the U.S. but other countries, to pressure the Ukrainian government to get rid of corruption in that country. Giuliani did what he did to try and swing an election to his buddy. Not close to comparable.

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
oldmanfan replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Judge Scalia in his Heller opinion for the majority indicated that the second amendment right is not absolute in that there needed to be further debate on who could be denied a weapon (such as criminal history of mental status) or whether certain weapons could legally be banned. Of course, some geniuses will now say Scalia was a RINO or not a conservative. One of the most brilliant conservative minds of the last century. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
oldmanfan replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
There was no fraud as evidenced by audits and as evidenced by the number of failed court cases. It is far past time to stop this nonsense. You want to question the state, question the Arizona Republican state legislature that has hired some shadow corporation led by an avowed conspiracy theorist to do some mythical recount where they hire people, equally taken in by Trumps's nonsense to the point where they were part of the January 6th nonsense, to be one of the counters. If this fantasy goes on, it will destroy this country as we know it. Luckily it won't because the Trump party will lose. It will bring Democrats out in force, and independents and actual, real Republicans will not vote for people who back this crap. -

There was no fraud in the election. Your unwillingness to accept reality threatens the survival of our republic. -
The title of the thread is meaningless because the Republican Party does not exist. There are Democrats and there are Trump clan members. When solid actual Republicans like Romney and Cheney and Sasse and Flake are not considered Republican anymore it just shows the inanity of those enslaved to a guy that lost the Congress and the White House. Independents like me will never vote for anyone who licks Trump’s behind.

Bills 2021 Draft - Overall Assessment
oldmanfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Sanders and Beasley don't play the same role. You raise an interesting point about this. I do think Davis can get deep and they can always send McKenzie deep as well (or the kid they drafted from Houston). With our offense though I think separation is more pivotal. -

Nope. Moore doesn’t crack our top 4 WRs. A CB doesn’t add that much over Jackson or Wallace. We all saw the Super Bowl. We want to beat Mahomes we need pressure from up front. We got two DEs to help there. -
Bills 2021 Draft - Overall Assessment
oldmanfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beane said something to the effect before the draft that they needed to keep adding to spots where they had guys, so they could have continuity. And that's what he did. After 4 years people still refuse to believe the guy when he tells us what he's going to do. I would have liked a big NT in the draft, but other than that if we have a weakness last year it was pass rush, and they've added two guys to help fix that. Two OT's and a G for potential depth, a CB and S where we needed depth, a slot WR to start thinking about life post Beasley. Did other teams in the division get better? Probably. The Jets and Cheatriots have nowhere to go but up (and each will depend on the QBs they drafted), and the Fish did smart things to get a lot more picks this year and next year, but Tua has to show them he can play QB in the NFL. But we were 13-3 last year, kept a lot of the guys who did that, and added some depth. What else was there to do? -
There are still way too many people in this country, white people, that hate black people just because of the color of their skin. There are still too many white and black people that hate Asian-Americans just because they look different. And denying that is the problem.

If an All Pro goes down at any position on any team it’s hard to replace.

I think Jackson will start.

Bills trade pick #174 to HOU for two 6th round picks

Dane Jackson starts at CB next year.

They saw what worked in the Super Bowl. We have to be able to pressure the QB. No problem with these picks.

Both speakers represented their positions fairly well. Biden has the Democratic approach of more expansive government, Scott the Republican view of less expansive government. The one thing I wish would have been brought up is the size of the national debt. Biden’s increased spending will add to it, Scott’s party and their tax cuts made it bigger, and meanwhile China owns a lot of our debt and our country. That is dangerous. Also, thank God neither talked about the idiot culture war crap. I liked Scott, but his problem is that he espoused traditional Republican views for a party that has abandoned such and has decided Trumpism is their way forward. If they party is smart they’ll listen to what Scott said. But they won’t; McCarthy afterward talked about us not eating hamburgers even though he knows it’s a total lie. Independents like me are sick of that crap. We were last November which is why Trump lost.

Who thinks teaching is a hard job?
oldmanfan replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What are you asking? Yes, I think taxpayer funded public education is OK. I said that. Are you asking how much they, meaning state budgets i.e. taxpayer funds, should pay? I'd go 50:50 with the student as a starting point. -

Fourth sentence.
